I would not recommend for anyone to buy appliances from this store. I bought a dryer from them a week ago, they didn't delivered the dryer on the date that they was suppose to. Put a load of clothes in the dryer soon after they delivered it. And the dryer don't work, it only blow out cold air and don't dry the clothes. They been telling me for the last 3 days that they are going to send someone to fix the dryer. Nobody have came to fix it. They just keep giving me the run around. We bought a stove on February 21, 2026 (Saturday) and paid for it as soon as we saw the one that we wanted. Got the paper work done as we request it to be delivered on February 26, 2026 (Thursday). Mr. James was fast and efficient with pulling the oven out of his truck to installing it in 10 minutes. Then tested all the buttons to make sure everything is working fine. They may take all day to delivered, but sometimes it may be one person only doing it. So be patient and understanding when ya'll wait for them to delivered your appliances. P.S. I do not recommend anyone to go there. they don't want to send anyone to fix it or replace it. and when I the guy today, he told me someone would be out today and no one has showed up. This is the first time I have ever left a Review. That's how bad my experience with Johnny's Appliances has been. I bought a Refrigerator on 10/8/2024. It was delivered to the House I was moving into the next Day. At this point I had not moved in but Refrigerator was working. On 10/15 I went by the House and Refrigerator had stopped cooling. I had a local Repairman come by to look at it. He said the Compressor had gone out. I called Johnny's that afternoon. The Guy on Phone said Someone would be down to fix it within 2 Days. I realize things take time but here it is 10/25 and No one has been by yet. I just called and was told.."you're still on the List." I asked if I could bring the Refrigerator back myself and get my Money back. Well..no I can't he tells me. So..I'm at their Mercy I guess until they decide to send Someone to fix it. read more

The WORST "Customer Service" Experience I've ever had! I was moving & unfortunately, was unable to take my washer & dryer with me. I had them for three years and they were in amazing condition never broke down or gave me any issues. I have never sold appliances before so I began contacting random companies & Johnny's was the first. A woman answered & advised me to send pictures of my appliances to an unknown number. I agreed and emphasized that I was moving in two weeks. She ok'd. I sent the pictures & waited hours for a response which I never received. I called the store back & she answered & said the owner agreed to $200 for both which was EXTREMELY low considering the condition of my units. I agreed out of desperation. She scheduled the pick up date for the following Tuesday. That day arrived & for hours, they didn't contact me. Yet again, I had to call them several times & received no answer. I had my mom call & they answered right away. I then called back & she answered. I know they have caller ID because when I originally called she read my phone number back to me, so I felt like they were deliberately ignoring my calls. When she finally answered, she was extremely unorganized. She acted as though someone didn't put me in the books but she's the only person I spoke with. I had to remind her of who I was & what they agreed to. She said they had one delivery driver & he was "missing" & they were concerned for his safety. I asked if this was normal for them & if I should just contact some other companies because I was limited on time, & she assured me they needed a washer & dryer & that they would buy mine. I decided to reschedule the pickup for that Friday since it was getting late & the driver still wasn't there. She took all my information again, put me in the books, and said he would be there between 12:30pm-1:30pm. Friday came & yet again, no contact from them. I waited until around 1pm and called several times to no answer. Finally a male answered who was very nice & ensured the driver was still coming that day & would be contacting me. Hours went by & it was now 4:16pm. I called back & she answered with a very rude tone. I explained that I had been very patient considering everything that had happened yet no one had come or communicated with me. I mentioned the pick up window SHE scheduled, & she said they don't give times & that she had customers in the store that needed her assistance. I explained to her that I was a customer too. She then said "if you want them sold, you'll have to wait for him (the delivery driver), to call you!", and hung up in my face! They never came & I haven't heard from them since! I had never been so disrespected in my life! I was extremely nice & understanding when talking to her in spite of everything. As a result I had to scramble to find someone to buy them & because of their unprofessionalism, I now had 3 days to do so before I moved! Thank God for blessing me with someone who was willing to pay a more reasonable price & picked them up with no issues! I have mixed experience. I bought washer-dryer combo and a fridge. Washer dryer worked fine, but the fridge stopped working right after warranty period expired. Another repairman who came to work said that compressor is bad and needs changing. That will cost more than the original cost of fridge. read more

A completely horrible experience. I bought a nice washer/dryer set. It was one of the higher priced sets so I had expectation there would be some level of quality. Within the 60 day warranty period the pump on the washer went out. I called and scheduled a repairman under the warranty. It took several phone calls and three weeks waiting for the repair man to come out. It was looked over and I was told that the part would be ordered. Two weeks later I call to check in (I had to ring 11 phonecalls over three days to get anyone to pick up) and was told its on order. Two weeks later, its on order. Two weeks later. Its on order. A total of 9 weeks went by, when I was told that the part had never been ordered and would not be ordered because it was discontinued. So everything else told to me before was a lie to put me off! Under the warranty, I would receive a different washer of equal value. Reading back, it took a total of 39 calls to get to this point. 5 weeks after that, with numerous more calls to get them to bring what they owe, I had a washer delivered that was not worth half the value of the one I bought. But it was clean and I don't have a big family so I wasn't going to fight over it. It made rough noises the first load of laundry I ran. I managed to get three loads of laundry out of it before it stopped working entirely. I call to request a repair and was told that it would not be under warranty and I would have to pay for repair service. They brought a BROKEN washer as a replacement! The amount I was quoted for repair would be MORE than a new washer! I bought a new washer. Money is not the issue. Principal is the issue. If you manage to get a working washing machine out of this place it is by luck. If you have to use the warranty in any way, then you're going to regret coming here. They WILL NOT hold up to it. read more

**Telephone call from Johnny's Used Appliances and they had no record of my 9/23/2022 appointment (I was speaking with the same person who scheduled the 9/23/2022 repair appointment)and now they advised me that I would have to pay a $65.00 service call fee which I refused.** Strike 3. **Update 9/24/2022: Called Johnny's Used Appliances and they agreed to send a repair technician Friday 9/23/2022. We were home all day and repair technician never showed up and never called.***strike two Johnny's.*** I purchased a washer, dryer, that upright freezer in February 2022. The washer leaked water the first week, a technician came out and determined that the drain hose had a hole in it and it took 3 weeks for the hose to be replaced. About a week or two afterwards the washer stopped working. Technician came out and determined that the main board was faulty and they would replace the washer. Several weeks later a replacement washer was delivered. The replaced washer was not leveled properly by the person that delivered the replacement. I leveled the washer which correct the problem for several weeks. Now the washer does not cycle properly. The washer fills up with water and stops. Then I have to leave the too open until the washer drains and restart the cycle. I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times before the washer will complete a washing cycle. Because the warranty has lapsed I have a $400 washer that's a constant problem. The upright freezer stopped working a few weeks after the warranty because there was a leak in the filter attached to the compressor and all the refrigerant leaked out. The cost to repair the freezer is more than the cost I paid for the freezer. So after spending a total of $725.00 for the freezer and washer, bother stopped working properly within a couple of weeks after the warranty lapsed. So I'm out $725.00 plus finance charges and have to buy a new washer and upright freezer. Last time I ever purchase used appliances. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! If I could give a zero, I would. Bought a dryer - unbelievable deal - from him around August. Began having issues immediately. He responded ONCE to a warranty call, but ignored/dodged every subsequent calls (even though we were well within the warranty period). Fast forward 7 months - after working with 3 different repairman, it came to light that we were sold a dryer where the wires were rigged to bypass one of the safety switches, allowing the dryer to run with a bad thermofuse. Not only did we have to keep replacing hearing coils, etc., but this was a HUGE safety hazard. This man is shady, at best. STAY AWAY. read more

We bought a washer/dryer and refrigerator from here a year ago. We only needed them for a year and Johnny said if we kept the paperwork, he'd buy them back at half price. I will say he was FANTASTIC at delivering and installing all three things. It was super convenient. He was very friendly. Now a year is up and when I called to schedule the buy back, he rudely cut me off, said he was overstocked, and wouldn't buy them back. I never got it in writing that he would buy them back, so he's not entirely in the wrong, but this was incredibly disappointing. Now we need to post them on Craigslist and coordinate two more things in the middle of the chaos of moving. *Please be aware if he offers you the same deal, get it in writing!!!! (Lesson learned the hard way.) In response to their reply: You are confusing me with someone else. I kept my receipt!! I still have it. And I wasn't asking $500 for the appliances!!!!!! I called and asked if we could set up the buyback (which would have been $325, not $500) but I didn't mention any specific amount. I was cut off before I could finish talking and was informed (rudely) that you wouldn't buy them back. I will say that yes, 1 star was extreme and I apologize for that. I will increase that to 3. I was very upset because this is a major thing to add to the chaos and stress of moving and at the last minute. The washer and dryer worked well. This is ridiculously over-due - but here goes. Nearly 3 years ago when I bought my house I was on a very tight budget and in need of a washer and dryer. I found johnny's used appliances and had a wonderful experience shopping - the owner's wife kept my kid entertained while I asked a million questions and shopped. I arranged to have the washer and dryer delivered the same day for a very reasonable price. As a single mom, having service men or delivery men come in to your house can be a bit nerve-wracking, but I never once felt uncomfortable with the owner (who came himself to set up the set) or his helper. They provided all of the hookups and had everything up and running very quickly. They were respectful and courteous and pleasant. Fast forward to 2 years later - my dryer stopped working. The drum would spin, we tested the electrical connections, I replaced fuses, i even replaced the heating element and could not, for the life of me, figure out what went wrong. It had been pretty cheap when I bought it, and I had resigned myself to only getting a few years out of it anyway, so I headed back to Johnny's to see if I could buy another replacement that would last me another few years. I talked with the owner again and told him about the dryer - how it, for the most part, had been fantastic, but over the last few months had started just not getting hot. He said "if you can get it here before 3, I'll fix it." I was dubious, but a fix is cheaper than a new dryer, so I arranged for my dad to help me haul the dryer back to the store. It took the owner probably 5 minutes to look at it and tell me exactly what the problem is (Fun fact, spinning the dryer setting knob counter-clockwise damages it...), and then another 10 or so to take the knob off, clean and solder it, and put it back on. And he did it for no charge. This was last fall, and the dryer works better now than it did when I bought it. Seriously, this guy knows his stuff, and is very good people. When my husband and I went to this store we were prepared to purchase a full set of used appliances for our new home, fridge, washer, dryer and range in order to cut costs. When we entered both employees a mand and woman were setting behind their desks. Neither of them got up or really greeted either of us. Instead after stating that we were looking for a full set of appliances the man simply referred us to a back room to look at the selection of appliances while the woman behind the desk oddly glared at both of us without saying a word. This and the non chalant attitude continued even when we asked about delivery and warranties on the items we were interested it. We were made to feel very out of place and opted to buy everything new at best buy. Least we get a full warranty and great customer service. read more

In the begining about 4/5 years ago I went to this place a purchased a washer and dryer from an older Caucasian couple nice man. Anytime I had an issue with my dryer he came out and fixed it. So fast forward to now, I referred my friend to this company not knowing that there are new owners of the company. Well I feel so bad bc these new owners are "crooks" they have not only given my friend defective items but when there defective item cost them over 300.00 in lost they only offered them a $25 gift card. WTF not to mention that my "friend" is still with out the item. My friend and I had been dealing with "Johnny" for several years. This "Johnny" and his female front office personnel were very nice and Christian people. I never had any problems with them at all !!! The appliances we bought from "Johnny" were very clean and worked very well! This was around 2015 or so, maybe earlier. I called this past Wednesday to get a new stove because my granddaughter had a fire while she was cooking. It burned quite a bit of the top of the stove, also a couple of eyes. The male person that answered said there was no longer a "Johnny" there. He was very rude and kept cutting me off. He also informed me that if the stove could be repaired, there would be a service charge of $50 plus parts and labor. That's not what I wanted! I used to call "johnny" to tell him what I wanted and he would deliver it to me in a short time and it would be a very nice appliance. I would still be using it today had it not caught on fire. I don't know who this present person is but he s not the original "Johnny" I dealt with before. read more

Do not use this business, please. Got a decent deal on a refrigerator. French door, door ice maker, stainless, apparently new looking. Six weeks in, the refrigerator stopped working. It has been worked on and didn't have a manufacturing label, it had been torn off. I was offered this "as is" with the guarantee it had never been worked on. I was initially offered nothing but then when my warranty company denied the claim based on these factors I was offered after hefty complaints, $450/$500 investment back. When the installers came to pick it up, they were only given $400. That's a little shifty. Nonetheless, where did this tagless refrigerator come from that after apparently only a year or less of use it needed to be worked on and upon further investigation repaired. I'm not sure. I'm just not sure. I won't hold my breath on my $50. I respect an honest. This is a semi-honest hustle. What if I didn't press? What if I didn't investigate? read more

Our washer went out last night and by this morning, we had a washer delivered and installed. He also has great prices. For less than you would pay for the appliance alone, he also delivers and installs (I am sure within a certain area). We were working the washer wrong and he jumped in his truck and came straight over to show us what we were doing wrong. He also brought another in case it was broken. This guy is a God send and an honest and trustworthy guy. If you ever need a used appliance, look no further, he is your guy. He also does repairs and I have a feeling he would be honest with them too. I first purchased a washer dryer set when I first moved here. the price was less than $500 He delivered it hooked it up with cords vent etc all for the same price. Same day delivery and hook up. They are still working fine. Recently I needed a refrigerator, I picked it out and asked him to deliver it. I never asked the price, A couple hours later it was installed , the ice maker hooked up the old refrigerator hauled away/ The price was way less than I expected. Bought a dryer from Johnny in December and it stopped working properly in March (about 3 months later). After discussing the issue on phone with Johnny, he offered to stop by my apartment to fix it the following day. This was nice since the dryer was past the 30 day warranty period. Unfortunately, Johnny never showed up on the appointed day to fix the dryer. I was not surprised. At one point he did offer to fix the dryer for free if I brought the dryer by his shop so I'll give him credit for that. Anyway, you're probably better off buying a new dryer if you can afford it. We just moved into a rental in September 2017. My husband picked out a stove and a refrigerator, I stopped by and paid for them and they were to be delivered the day after we moved in. Every interaction we had with Johnny or his employees we were promised that we would be getting a great deal and they would make sure everything worked. We felt fairly confident that we made a good choice. The morning of the delivery we got a call that the stove we picked out had been dropped off the back of the truck and he would be sending a comparable one. The items were delivered and I suggested that his driver/deliverer come to the back door since we have a very narrow entry through the front. They came through the front anyhow. In doing so, dented the wall, and make big scuffs in the paint. I said it was ok, I would deal with it later. They came in the back door, and it was a huge hassle. Everyone was very cheerful and kind about how hard it was to get the fridge into the house. The refrigerator was really big and we had to take off the doors and the door of the house to get it in. When installed one of the eyes on the new stove didn't work, for no observable reason. Then the fridge quit. Pretty much after being plugged in. This was a weekend so we had to wait until the next week to do anything about it. They brought the original stove "fixed" and put a new defrost timer in the fridge, saying that the old one didn't work because he used a universal part and this new part was specific to that fridge. My husband had them swap out the stoves because the one we originally purchased apparently was functioning and the other was not. Johnny came himself and offered to fix our washer for $100 bucks (it was making a loud noise when it spun) if we would pick it up. The defrost timer went out again two days later. This time the driver came out to fix it. Which he did. I told him the stove wasn't working correctly. He said it was something to do with a switch and he would inform Johnny. Nothing ever came of that. Over the next week, whatever they had done to straighten out the stove after being dropped un-straightened and the spray paint they sprayed to hide all the damage popped off. However, I had to go out of town to pick up our aging dog from my aunts (we ended up having to put her down she was so ill) and my husband had to travel for business. My mother in law noticed the fridge didn't feel cold so she moved everything into coolers and I called Johnny. He came the next day. Unfortunately, I was returning from the trip and my father in law met him at the house, so I didn't know he swapped out the defrost timer again. I did pull up as he was leaving and he informed me that he was going to just send another fridge in two days as the next day was his birthday. The new defrost timer worked and the fridge started again. So I called, left a voicemail and said, no need to deliver a fridge but I told him about the stove coming apart and the fact that the temperature was about 125 degrees off at certain temperatures. (I have an oven thermometer). The next day the truck pulls up with a fridge. I didn't know what to do. I felt like I would be cheating him to take it because I had a working fridge now, but who knew if it would last. It was also perfectly clear the last thing his driver wanted to do was move that fridge back out of the house. I had no more time to repair dents in our rental so that was discouraging. So I spoke to Johnny on the phone. He said he was sure that defrost timer would last but if we have any other problems with the fridge, not to worry he would send a fridge then. No mention of the stove. The next day the handle on the fridge came off and my husband was pretty upset. As this fridge had been a huge headache. So he called Johnny to speak with him about the fridge and the stove. Johnny yelled at him, saying "I just offered her a fridge yesterday! You probably broke that handle on purpose!" and hung up. In truth it was my one year old daughter who pulled the handle off- something I doubt she would have been capable of if it were assembled correctly. So, we dealt with the broken handle and the now rusting, chipped, crooked, can't hold a temperature stove. Also, by this time the washer was now making the "sound" worse than ever and I had done only a few loads. The repair lasted about 2 weeks.All of this within 25 days. However we knew at this point that the "30 day guarantee" we had been promised was no good. Christmas comes and we go out of town. When we return, the fridge is dead again. I call Johnny and he refers me to A1 Appliance and Repair and hangs up the phone. He sold us two lemons and one bad repair. We turned down a replacement in good faith and got burned. I bought a washer and dryer from a more reputable 2nd hand appliance entity and a new fridge from Best Buy. The Best Buy guys figured out the short that was burning up our defrost timers in the old fridge in about 1 min and hauled it off. read more
