Brought my car in with a check engine light on for some stalling issues. They called back and said they had replaced the parts needed (despite them being unnecessary parts, as well as me asking for an estimate before the car got fixed). Drove my car home, check engine light still on, and it didn't even make it the 5 minute drive home. Brought the car BACK in, asked for an estimate, still waiting for a response. They offered no discounts or anything, despite my problem not being fixed. If my car was able to make the drive to any other mechanic, I'd take it elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

Called to get my car picked up and worked on. The person who answered was rude told me they were behind when i tried to inquire when would be a good time i was hung up on. These folks are something else. I wrote a review on here and not sure how it was taken down but they treat their customers like crap. They dog insurance agencies for not paying them so they don't charge to your insurance. The whole group of them are rude to say the least!! If you need a tow in town, go to Ray's Towing. I am from Chicago but was driving to an appointment in Grand Rapids, hit a patch of ice en route and spun out and into the guard rail. I was badly shaken but my colleague and I both walked away unharmed. John's was deployed to help us. I cannot say enough good things about Tom, his wife and nephew. They were extremely helpful, friendly and went above and beyond what I expected...even mailing me things I had left in the car and taking clothes to Goodwill ( had them in the trunk to donate but just never got around to it). I just can't say enough good about John's... they are ALL wonderful! Knowledgeable, respectful (have had BAD past experiences, being a woman going into a mechanic with a prob with my car!) but never at John's... they're nice, VERY reasonably priced and prompt! I experienced a blow out on a trip and had the misfortune of thinking that John was a credible business owner and decent human being. I called this excuse for a service and was greeted by a slow,but somewhat friendly voice that identified themselves as John who was going to tow my broke down vehicle to a tire repair shop right next door to his own business. At this point,John lost his spine and told me he did not like that business owner and was not going to tow my car to said shop. I asked if he was serious ,he stated he was and I said that he has no idea how service works and hung up. The owner of the tire shop who John held in such ill regard called me and made a service call,not only saving me from getting a hotel room , but was generally concerned with my situation and did what he could do to help. Doing his job, the right way. Thank you,Steve. Shame on you John and the services you fail miserably at. You put your own personal gripes ahead of the customers who you fail at serving and for that alone you will have this negative feedback to think about. read more
