My wife, daughter and I were driving from NWI heading to Charlevoix, MI this morning and broke down on the side of US 196 near Zeeland. We googled towing services in the area and K&R popped up. A quick phone call later and a truck was on the way. In about 15 minutes or so Shay showed up with a flatbed and got us loaded up and we were on our way to the dealership in Grand Rapids. He dropped it at the service department and it wasn't long before we were back on the road! Shay is a true professional and has a great personality. Scam!!! Do not use this towing company. Had an accident, the police sent K & R Towing to tow my car when it was still driveable. First the driver asked me to get all of my things out of the car. I said no, I own the car need it towed to my house which was only 1.5 miles. Gave him a check when got to the house. He would not unload the vehicle into my driveway, I was specific that I will have it repaired or scrap it myself. Driver took off with my vehicle. Went town to their yard to get my car back and they claimed I had to sign the title over to them for the towing fee. I could not get the car back. This is FRAUD!!! Charged me $219 for 1.5 miles of towing and I could have scrapped it for $550. If the police ever call you a tow truck do not use this company. read more

They are running quite a scam here... Jennifer specifically stated that if we signed the title over to them for our totaled vehicle that only had PLPD it would cover the towing costs and storage fees - get to the lot to get our stuff out and Jennifer states she never said that and they charged us the towing fee $290 then refused to have a sale price put on the vehicle title. If you have a choice use a different honest towing company in the area - unfortunately for us we had a terrible accident on Thanksgiving night and had to use what the Sheriffs dept sent - would have been fine except they do not honor their word (specifically Jennifer). read more

My husband and I purchased a used camper in Indiana and picked it up today. We got as far as Holland Michigan heading up to Big Rapids and one of the tires went flat on the camper. It was after hours and we were at a Speedway in Holland at the Allegan exit. The lady behind the counter was kind enough to call K & R Towing to come and assist us. We purchased a used trailer, and were concerned about the bounce we were getting at certain speeds. We were trying to decide whether to keep this trailer or not...K&R said we could swing by anytime for a quick visual inspection and some advice. We brought the trailer to them late in the day, they had us pull it into the shop, and a handful of guys swarmed all over it. They raised the rear with a forklift so they could better assess the bearings, axles & wheel alignment/balancing. They definitely had some concerns, but since we came in just before closing, we did not have much time. They suggested we leave it with them and if they had some free time the next day they would look it over more closely. They did, and found some problems that were dealbreakers for us. The conclusion was that we did not buy the right type of trailer for our needs. I asked them what I owed for their time, and they said "nothing"...wow! I think they felt bad that we spent money on a trailer that just would not work for us. I'm not suggesting that they will do work for free, but I did get the impression that they were a good group of technicians with a management team that cares about their customers. I figure the least I could do was leave a positive review reflecting the generous help they provided to us. Thank you!!! read more

My vehicle maintenance light and battery light came on, but it was still drivable. On the next day, I went to take it in for a pre-scheduled service. Then, the power steering failed as I was pulling out of my driveway. Rather than risking potential damage to my automobile or an accident, I called K & R Towing to transport it to the business where I was going to have the work done. I am SO glad I did. Dave patiently listened to my circumstance, took my information, and sent Mike, the driver to come to my aid. Both Dave & Mike had shown a genuine concern for my situation.
