There is pride in their work, which you do not often see in other entities such as dealerships, franchises. I appreciate that it is locally owned, independent, and the numerous 5-star reviews. I go above-and-beyond, the extra mile, head-and-shoulders above the required minimum maintenance schedule written in the manuals of our vehicles. I have read every line of them, sometimes sit for an hour on forums reading recommendations otherwise, and then review the material in a spreadsheet of tasks completed, products used, and future, slated, work. From 2017 to 2022 only one mechanic ever worked on our vehicles, including oil changes, wheel alignments, brake pads, among other work. He has a technical mastery of our cars. Due to having twins, wife needed to move, I lost him. Enter panic. But, great news -- I was so pleased with John that I now found a new mechanic. Highly recommend this entity. John has been a trusted mechanic of ours for years. Our Rav 4 needed rotors so we took it to Midas for convenience because they're right down the road. It's an easy repair, not hard to screw up, so we'll go with the convenience. Midas called us back with an estimate of $3300-4300! They claimed we needed new brakes, struts, rotors, and more. They even said our year old front brakes needed replacing! John took a look at our car and gave us the honest opinion, our rotors needed replacing. His shop did our front brakes a year ago, so he confirmed they were good. He suggested another repair but said we could go longer without; we went with his recommendation. Our rotors were priced around $300, under 1/10th of what Midas wanted to charge us. Highly recommend John, the work stands up and he's always honest. read more

John's Auto Diagnostics went the extra mile for me and my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. They worked endlessly on a differential replacement until they perfected the repair. John gave me a ball park estimate, a long with some other issues that I was not aware of yet (lower ball joints). John gave me a price break based on the exposure to these parts during the other repairs. Johns shop went well beyond what I would expect a shop to do to make sure that their job was done correctly and complete. John is nice he seems to be doing his best. But he and his mechanics are incompetent. I asked him to look at a Toyota truck for me and give me an engine diagnostic. He first quoted me 1 hour of labor at $108 then did some looking and said he needed another hour so $216 for a diagnostic. Okay the result is I need a valve job. Thanks for the info I decided to wait on the work. Drove the car 200 miles after I picked it up from him then looked at my oil and it was 4 quarts low. THEY FORGOT TO PUT OIL IN AFTER THEY LOOKED AT MY VALVES. I have had this truck for 10 years it does not leak oil I brought it to them full of oil and got it back with no oil. I put oil in and it hasn't leaked a bit but the engine is now knocking likely due to the 200 miles I drove it with out oil I am very lucky my engine did not completely seize. I would not trust a mechanic that returned a vehicle to a customer with no oil. He is incompetent. read more
