I had a leaking front diff seal on my Rubicon, it has seen some hard off road travels and knowing that their mechanic Bill Tiedman really understands Wranglers, I took it in for the seal and a few other items. Bill called me a day later and broke the bad news...it needed a lot, almost a complete front end suspension. If this had been a dealership repair, no way would I have trusted them...I trust Evans Automotive as a local business and the benefit of Kat providing is always entertaining travel to and from my residence. I have a Honda Civic 2007 and a Ford F250 2012 and have been taking them to Evan's for years. They do all service and repairs on both. They've done everything from power steering problems to fixing oil leaks to installing a big lighted truck mirror. I don't know anything about cars/trucks, so I have to trust whoever I take them to. They are honest and never try to sell you anything. They go above and beyond ( like serving me tacos) and the price is always fair and reasonable. I was in a sticky situation during my move out west. Van wasn't starting back up; I knew it was a fuel issue. I called Evan's the next morning and without hesitation the woman on the phone said "bring it over hun". A lot of times I get nervous about dropping my car off the day before the weekend because you are never sure if they can finish the job. Surely enough, 1 hour after having my car towed to Evan's, they called me to let me know the fuel pump will be replaced in a few hours. When I showed up, the whole crew asked me to hangout and eat a few cookies they got fresh from the bakery before my departure. The woman gave me a hug and wished me well on my trip. On a Friday afternoon, just before they close up, I limped my Land Rover in, after having some errors and check engine light come on my dash. Not only do they welcome me with warm smiles and compassion, but they found a way to look over my car thoroughly, right away. Evan found some errors that needed to be repaired, he topped off low fluids and ran a thorough a computer diagnostic. He then very quickly referred me to a local transmission shop to get my car further checked out, before they closed. Evan, his wife and daughters made me feel so well taken care of. Traveling from So. Cal, while enroute to outdoor ice skating, the under-mounted skid plate became detached and was dangerously dragging to the ground. It was Presidents Day, therefore I thought I might have difficulty locating an open facility. I googled auto repair shop, "Evan's Auto Care" (along with several larger named company's was displayed). I selected Evan's because their reviews were great but more so, I prefer to support a local business. I called to confirm they were open on this day, then drove to the shop immediately. The shop proprietor greeted me promptly, then politely informed me there were no lifts currently available. As a result, I would be required to wait a few minutes. Well, true to his word, he immediately reconfigured their current maintenance projects and to my surprise, my car was being worked on within about 2 minutes (without any appointment) !!! The vehicle damage was examined and completed within the blink of an eye. The mechanic (Jonathan) had a very youthful appearance and I loved to see such a young man with great knowledge, a workable skill and take pride in his performed labor. Jonathan Completed the job much faster than I had ever anticipated. Moreover, the business charged me a price that basically amounted to zero. That cost saving was passed on to the mechanic Jonathan in the form of a tip which amounted to about 100% of the cost this business charged for my entire repair. In addition, while sitting in the waiting area I overheard several calls and interactions between the various employees. They all treated each one of their callers and customers as though they were the most important project in their garage. This is a rare shout-out for a business from me, but these guys did me right. I needed brakes on my truck which is used to tow a heavy trailer quite often, and after several expensive brake jobs elsewhere I finally did some research to identify specific brake components for my type of application. Parts so specific, I couldn't locate them locally and had to order them online. Once I had everything, I called several shops and discovered that most didn't want to deal with brake parts they didn't get from their vendors or they wanted to add on an upcharge for parts I supplied and gave me an attitude. Cost wasn't a issue for me, I just wanted my brakes done for once my way with my specific parts, and done right. A friend suggested Evans. I stopped in for an estimate and was given a no hassle labor charge quote, there was no issue with me having my own parts, and there was no issue with some other specific requests I had, such as hub and wheel torque specifics. I mean, they just listened to what I wanted, wrote everything down on the work order, and said "no problem". I brought it in, they called and I picked it up. My brakes are now consistant, the pedal feel is solid, and I am a thankful customer. Plus, I spent my money locally, which is a win-win. My experience with this garage is they do work with integrity and they don't have "that attitude" many shops have when you have specific requests that don't jive with their routine ways. I contacted Mark at Evans when my Water Pump went out in the mountains. He not only fixed the Water Pump but found a missing Air Conditioning belt. Really frustrated. I made an appointment to have my snow tires put on and was told it was take an hour, tops. I worked out my work schedule with this in mind. I sat there for nearly 2 hours, for no good reason. I think the mechanics were working on other cars that had come in with bigger issues, but I had made an appointment so I believe my car should have been the priority, otherwise why make an appointment. Evan, came in and out of the lobby several times and never acknowledged me sitting there. Taylor at the front was nice and saw my frustration and tried to hurry things up, but she even said, I don't know why they are taking so long. Thanks to the long wait, I missed a meeting for work and this was a bigger inconvenience than waiting another week to take it to the retailer who sold it to me. Not going back. read more

We tried Evan's for the first time recently, we took 2 SUVs in, 1 for a 60,000 mile service & snow tires the other for a oil, spark plug and new snow tires. When we got the cars back we always check the fluids on both cars we got synthetic oil and we normally use conventional which was on that little sticker from the previous oil change, but I did not specify I'll take the blame. On one car I had to fill up the windshield fluid and the coolant was low. With one of the tire changes I told them to keep the tires and they forgot that request. The Hercules tires they push were not great for snow and ice, I have lived in the mountains for 9 years and I have had better. I felt like Evan's was ok maybe, but we are looking for a business that is buttoned up and going to go the extra mile to make our autos last longer. read more
