I ran up to Home Depot and purchased it (I had already read the reviews & had a strong recommendation from my brother) and Mike was able to send guys out to install the new one the same day. I wasn't expecting such quick service but I was really getting frustrated with the old one and calling Apple Garage Door was the best thing! The guys were here less than an hour and took the old one away. All the remotes worked including the keypad. The opener is quiet too. I will definitely use them again if needed. We could not get it closed, so it was an emergency that we have someone out that day. They scheduled an appointment between 1 and 3. The technician called around 12:30 and said he would be there in about 45 minutes. This is where anything positive using Wylie Garage Door Service ended. The technician arrived and quoted us $340 to fix the door. After an hour and 1/2 of my husband helping the technician, using our tools and our jack to hold the door to prevent it from falling. They finally got the door closed. The technician told us over and over that it could not be fixed, that the door was too heavy for the track, that the installation was incorrect, etc. He recommended we contact our builder for a warranty claim. He apologized for not having the parts to fix the door and promised to come back the following week to fix it, but that would be another service call. He said he would have to get all new hardware, tracks, pulley system everything for the door in order to fix it. Monday morning we called Plano Overhead Garage Door. They arrived at 10:00 charged us $150 and fixed the door. That is the same price it would have been if we had called them on Saturday. Live and Learn. Just hope to help others trying to help out the small business owners, do not use Wylie Garage Door Service.
