Brought a pair of leather combat boots in for me heels and a zipper replaced on one. Paid over $70 in advance. Only proof given was a credit card slip which made me nervous. Tried three times to pick the boots up. Every time they were closed even though it was within the hours of operation posted online. Saw shoes lined up against the wall for sale that had been "abandoned by the owners" which made me even more nervous. Finally got the boots back. The heels are shorter and smooth instead of the same lug style soles. When I wear them I feel like I'm leaning back. read more

Small shoe repair and alterations shop located inside the Seminole Town Center mall. Have had many pairs of shoes fixed here and some purses repaired too. They do a great job and are very fast. When you drop off your items you get the cost of the repair immediately and pay in advance. The shop will call you when the repair is ready. Even though I don't come in too often, the owner often remembers me and is friendly with greetings. I appreciate it. Can't say enough about this humble little place, they do great work! read more

Went there from a recommendation from a friend. We will NEVER go back! Took him a pair of brand new Chanel shoes to have a non-slip sole put on and came back with a shoe that had marks on the original leather AND he ground the original heal. We called and he said it was already ground when he got the BRAND NEW shoe??? The whole point of using him was to not damage the original shoe. Hopefully he will pay for the damage read more

A friend of mine with "particular taste" uses them all the time so it said a lot. Used John's to resole a pair of loafers. Anyone with loafers knows that they really start getting comfy after about one sole's worth of life (get better and better!). John's did up the soles and heels perfectly and made the shoes look better than new. My wife (who has a degree in Shoes) didn't see why I wanted to resole...after we got these back from John's she understood my point of view..for me. I'm used to shoe repair places that do shoe repair, and maybe a dry cleaner that does alterations -- but this was my first exposure to a combo shoe repair/alterations place. What a great find. As luck would have it, I needed some shoe work, and a bunch of alterations that had been stacking up for some time. 5-Star service in both categories. Odd that it's in a mall, yes, but at least it's near a main mall entrance, so it's quite easy to get to. Definitely recommend the place for shoe repair or a new hem in a pair of pants. read more

I dropped off a skirt with a broken zipper and was told I would receive a call from someone letting me know if the zipper could be fixed or would need to be replaced, and how much the repair would be. That call never came. SIX days later I went into the shop to find out what was going on, to find my skirt repaired and hanging from a rack. Because the repair had already been completed I had no choice but to pay the exorbitant amount of $15 for a zipper replacement. The actual skirt didn't cost that much! I was appalled that a repair was done on my skirt without my being notified, when my drop off ticket clearly stated, "Fix zipper or change?--CALL CUSTOMER". Thank goodness this place wasn't a car repair shop. I'll never return and I'd advise others to steer clear as well. read more

I do not recommend. No set prices, prices based on their assessment of customer. I was charged $15 to stretch a shoe. The shoe was overstretched when I went to collect it. They said don't worry we are making an insole for you. Then charged an additional $10 to cut the insole i.e half an insole just for the instep. Not sure why I had to absorb the charge for their error. BIG RIP OFF!!!! Will never ever go back!!! read more

I brought it my brand new wedding dress from the bridal store to be altered. When I came to pick up my dress there were black marks on the back. The associate refused to give me a discount or pay half of my $45 cleaning bill before my wedding and started that this was on the back of my dress and not noticeable. I have been coming here for years and will lot be returning. I was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of customer service or lack of consideration provided. read more
