I love this antique shop and will gladly drive almost an hour to browse this spacious mall in Boerne. They have pretty good prices for the area and a wide variety of antique to offer. My favorites are the many vintage postcards and sports cards. Oh, and the occasional whole booths that may be discounted for what I saw as much at 20%. There's nothing like finding something you "need" for even less than you expected...score! Finally, I'd like to give a shout out to the awesome and super helpful gentlemen behind the counter on 7/17. This is my second visit to this very nice antiques mall full of dealers and booths. One of the ladies working there remembered me from 2 years ago! It takes awhile to browse this entire store, and the variety of stuff for sale is pretty much what you expect to find. Lots of books, jewelry, vintage linens and lace, framed prints and furniture. Then there is the odd find of an absolutely precious working spinning wheel priced in my opinion way too high at over $300. I took an 18thc spinning wheel to the Antiques Roadshow and the appraiser told me spinning wheels are so plentiful world wide as to be worth only what someone will pay. I would pay $100 for that wheel so I didn't even consider an offer. I found a modern piece of Texas Redware with a yellow glaze misidentified as yellow ware. Yellow ware is made of yellow clay and this was clearly stamped redware on the back. The price was $45 and I asked a woman to contact the seller for a best price. Instead she said 10% was all she could offer. I really would have been looking to pay about $30, but since covid closures I've been less inclined to walk away over 5 or 10 dollars as I'm just glad places have survived at all. Many of the dealers had signs offering 25% and more off whatever they were selling, and sadly nothing I chose was in those booths. My friends, however, found all kinds of finds including in those discounted booths. So we all left happy overall. Of course I left behind that overpriced spinning wheel for someone else who thinks it is worth that price. This shop has really good hours so you can stop in there after other places close on your way out of town. I only get to Texas every few years, but this will stay one of my go to places when I do find myself in the Hill Country. read more

I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by the employees/owners behavior at this place. To preface this I am disabled and have a service dog,and need to carry supplies for myself in a backpack at all times (including water, medications, food, my medical supplies, charger in case of emergencies, supplies for my SD, etc at all times when I go out. I walked in and almost immediately I began to be followed by 2 employees here from multiple sides and given judgmental looks. An older lady approached me and told me I could not have my backpack, I attempted to inform her I have a disability and have medications in the bag and did not elaborate. The employee then spoke rather rudely to me again telling me I still could not have my backpack. I Informed her I was not going to steal, said again I have a disability the made sure my bag was fully closed as a measure of good faith, and walked away. Then for the next five minutes I was followed by two employees everywhere I went usually from in the front and in the back. They would not let up and I was feeling absolutely unwelcome and insulted but tried to push it out of mind. Other customers even remarked "are they just following you around like that, that's awful"! After continuously being followed by this gentlemen employee Down every isle I confronted him and told him how awful this to be followed and judged as someone who would steal. He acted ignorant and denied that he was following me. And I told him how insulted I was he didn't respond. And I decided to leave their business. As I was beginning to leave a third employee began to argue with me about needing my backpack for my disability, "just put your medications in your pocket....it's not that hard....The sign says no backpacks". Meanwhile In front of this employee five feet away a woman customer has a very large handbag that is open around her arm, easily is accessible unlike a sealed bag on my back. And I pointed this out ,still she argued with me about my disability extremely rudely, showing absolutely no respect for anyone with a disability or their needs. Truly horrendous behavior from employees. I have been here many times over the years and enjoyed myself and last time had my service dog and the same backpack with me two previous times. I have never had to deal with such disgusting behavior on the part of any employees or owners in any establishment such as I was just treated today hete. I will never do business with them again and make sure others are aware of how this please treats people. Due to the extremes heat I left my SD at home today and decided to try and go out by myself today for a short outing and enjoy this place, yet I left feeling so hurt and discriminated against. read more

Have decided to go antiquing as a hobby, and found this little mall quite by accident. It is located pass the Boerne area. Although, it's small, it has a good amount of antique jewelry, tableware and porcelain or other statuettes. It is clean, well organized and easy to find. Spent a good half hour shopping here because of the variety of items. Good place to look for vintage jewelry. read more

I love this place!! I've only gone a couple times but I can spend hours here. It is so cool they have quite a bit of stuff ranging in everything. I was so excited to stop here while on an antique & vintage jewelry buying trip. I'm a reseller and buy all kinds of Jewelry in large quantities. I started off with a overflowing handful of lower end costume pieces and was working my way around the shop toward several cabinets full of sterling silver. Asked the clerk to let me look at some gold and gold filled pieces first. Nothing special and a bit pricey. After just a few minutes she asked me if I was going to buy any because she is the only one working and needs to check on her other customers. I said "Oh, that's a problem" because I really wanted some SILVER pieces." She said " If it's a problem, take it up with the owner." Locked the case and left me standing there with a handful of pieces I planned to buy. Did even offer to take them to the counter for me. If you own the silver jewelry in the cases near the front... this clerk lost a big sale that day. Awful attitude. I have family in Boerne so I'll be there regularly but you won't find me at John's Road again. read more
