We had to use John's Sewer and Drain cleaning after the first sewer guy we hired could not finish the job, and made my wife call and request someone John's. I sure wish we had found John's number in the first place! Their employee Joey was professional, kind and courteous. He came in and did the job correctly, used the proper equipment to do the job, and even showed me the results with a video camera of the cleaned out sewer line and where the problem existed, where the roots had clogged our sewer line. The cost was even better that the previous sewer guy who charged us full price for not even finishing the job. Older property that had a 200' sewer line to city that backed up. 3 other competitors showed up and said they couldn't go that far. ( my sewer is backing up in the basement with ungodly nastiness ) Called Johns in desperation at the end of the day. They said no problem we'll be out in the morning. Jordan showed up and snaked a full 190' where he hit a big root ball. Called Kyle who brought the big gun in... the jetter. Within 25 minutes they blasted everything out to the city's main. They showed up, made me sign a disclaimer saying that anything they break is not their responsibility , poked a hole into the pipe and told me I had to find a plumber to fix it. Mike called in advance to let me know he was coming over in 20 minutes, asked some smart questions, and honestly seemed to have diagnosed the whole thing before he even got here. Then he got here, thoroughly checked to make sure that his diagnosis was right, while showing and explaining what he was doing, then promptly solved the issued, cleaned the system, and cleaned up the job site, and then gave advice on how to avoid these issues in the future. I think everything was cleaner AFTER he had come over, that's how great he did the work. Despite the thoroughness, the visit took less than the estimated time, and came in under the estimated cost. Had a nasty clog in our main pipe that flooded half our basement with water and food particles. Was able to get service the next morning around 8am. Was quoted $250 for the job based on the pictures and description sent but was charged much less once Chachi got here and saw what needed to be done. Gotta say that being charged less for home repairs is a first for us and was not only refreshing but a blessing. Chachi was punctual. We had 40 years of heavy scaling and root intrusion in our main sewer line. Initially I called Mr. Rooter who quoted me roughly 5,000 dollars to clean about 70 feet of pipe. I had John's Sewer and Drain come out twice for two different drains. The first time was on a weekend. The sewer line was unclogged. With video, I was shown that it was clear all the way to the city line. The second time I called, it was also the weekend and I had a technician call me back. After I explained what it was, he recommended that since it wasn't an emergency, I could save money by waiting one day to have it done. That is exactly what I did. Oh my, I thought I had already written this review, but in the midst of all we went through I guess I missed it. I can't say enough about the great job personnel from John's Sewer and Drain did when our entire basement was inundated with sewage. As it turned out, the entire drainage system was blocked with bamboo toilet paper that did not break down. They arrived twice w/in a couple of hours and the price was affordable. It was a horrific, nasty mess but their technician stayed until everything was cleared out. I'll spare you the images of what he found, but we later did a little test w/bamboo TP (brand REEL) and Scott's brand. We put two sheets in a glass of water and then waited to see what broke down best. The bamboo did NOT break down very well, see attached pic. read more

An amazing experience! Our basement sink stopped draining late on a Wednesday night. I looked for quotes here on Yelp and woke up on Thursday to a message from Scott at John's Sewer and Drain Cleaning with a quote as well as a few times they could come by that same day and fix the drain (in 2 hour windows, way better than the 8 hours from some places). The service person arrived on time (slightly early in fact), wore a mask for safety, and went to work. Within half an hour our drain was clean and running like new. He cleaned up after himself and the cost was exactly as quoted. I felt safe having this person in our home and I REALLY appreciated that they messaged me back over Yelp. I had a couple businesses call me to give me quotes but I really love when businesses communicate in the same way that you've reached out to them! Someone on the other end responded within 10 minutes with an up-front quote on what they thought I would need. Shopped around a little and found this price to be a good value. I called Monday morning and they had someone out here about an hour later. The technician was professional and was committed to doing a great job. He quickly found the clog and broke through it. While he could have stopped at that point, he kept going through the clog multiple times to get it cleaned up the best he could. I would call John's again in a pinch. read more

Called John's on New Years Day about a backed up kitchen sink, and they answered on 2 rings, I then got a call back from scheduling within 30 minutes! They prefer to reserve time for emergencies only on holidays, but they did try to work me in, although they were dealing with several emergencies so I had to wait until the next day. So the next day they arrived first thing in the morning, as scheduled, and within 30 minutes had my backed up kitchen sink flowing better than ever! I was greeted by a very pleasant customer service agent who took my information and was able to get me set up for an appointment same day. I got a call back from Jason not even 30 minutes later saying he would be there in 15 minutes to fix my clog.
