The drain in the laundry room was clogged up. Dehumidifier water was all over the floor. Called a couple of places the Tim's was able to send a tech out in 45 mins. Tony Smith was the tech that showed up and he cleared out the drain and made sure is was flowing fast. Did a great job. The cost was $647, but I needed it fixed and it was the day before the 4th of July. So I needed it done and knew what the price was. I didn't get a receipt for the payment or the work done. That's not good, but the work was done to solve the issue. read more

Air conditioning was failing causing me to call Tim's Home Repair. I've never used them before but the scheduler told me to get my system evaluated would cost $99. "Aaron" came out and informed me that my heat exchanger was unsafe and that it should be replaced before the heating season. After checking the condenser and freon amount, he said I was down 2-3 lbs. which was almost half of the amount I should have, and informed me that it would cost over 1,1000 to charge it back up and repair a minor leak in a Shrader valve. I chose to wait to do anything and was charged 250.50 for his service call, not the 99.00 I was told on the phone. I called Center Point Energy's "Home Service Plus" the next day and they also checked out the heat exchanger and found NO problems. They also informed me that my freon was NOT insufficient and that Tim's Home service was trying to sell me a new HVAC system at 13,000. I was depending on Tim's Home Service to be reliable and informative to me and they were not honest or reliable and will never have them back into my house again. Homeowners beware. read more

Requested service on our AC that wasn't blowing cold air. The tech replaced the Capacitor and added 1 pound of freon, charged us $495.00 just for the capacitor, found it online direct from Carrier (the brand of our AC) for $130. Told the tech about it and he wouldn't budge on price. Total bill was over $650. Neighbor had almost the same reapir done (capacitor and they had 2 pound of freon added), and paid $350. Overall I recommend this plumber! We called to get a broken faucet fixed and were worried we'd have to replace the entire valve. Service was very quick, they sent someone one day later after we called. Requested minor plumbing modification and permit/approval for water heater. Service was completed but employee spent much time on the phone attempting to determine what was required to meeting building codes. He left said he would call next day...no call. So 4 business days later I called the office and they needed to check with plumber and get back to me. No response, so I called again in 3 days and left a message for the owner, but never heard from him. Called 2 days later and was told" oh yea, we submitted the request for the permit yesterday", and the info was sent to a different address. So the work did pass. Not the first time I've used there service but it will be the last. The work turned out to cost me $400/hour for 3 hours work plus $200 for parts and permit. Over priced, uncommunicative and extremely frustrating to deal with. read more

I had multiple problems with a toilet that they came and fixed. Good points: fast response, clear communication, not unreasonable costs, apparent good workmanship. The most important parts of the problem were fixed. However, though I thought I was hiring a plumber, Tim's is not presently licensed for plumbing in Minneapolis. Consequently, the site visit was done by a drain specialist, rather than a plumber, and he was not allowed to fix one minor part of the problem (a faulty shut-off valve). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I had a new sink and faucet installed by this company and it was a COMPLETE DISASTER. The first disaster was the plumber who came out dropped my new sink and broke it. He then asked me to return the sink to the store and say it was already broken. He was extremely unprofessional and was cursing very loudly the entire time. The next day the glue he used to glue the drains down started balling up and there was glue all over my counter tops. I called the company to have someone come back out. The company sent the same plumber. He was super condescending and said it looked perfect and said the glue would eventually wear off. A few weeks later I arrived home to find 3 inches of water covering the entire main level of my home. The hose from the faucet he I installed came off and was spraying water everywhere. He had to tear down sheet rock from the ceiling and he left a mess for me to clean up. He charged me over $700 to fix the leak. The next day which was a Sat. there was another leaky pipe in the same area so I called A Aart's Plumbing and got a message there there was nobody available for an emergency call. I called Plumb Right and Thomas came out right away and he was very professional. He wore a uniform and booties and he put down a tarp to protect our carpet. He had to tear down sheet rock from the ceiling and he cleaned up the mess and took it all with him. He charged me $353 to fix the pipe which was less than half as much as the amount I was charged by A Aart's Plumbing for the same kind of repair.. read more

After sending Aart's guy packing, I noticed that both HD and Lowes offered sink installation and had laundry sinks similar to ours with the drain piping included. Lowes referred me to handy.com which quoted me (blind) about $250 to install a brand new sink and haul the old one away. Their tech showed up on time and got the job done in an hour and a half including a strip to HD for a couple of PVC drain adapters. He was pleasant and efficient; I couldn't ask for more. Main sewer line was backing up. Called Tim's Quality Plumbing (also known as A Aart's & Tim's Quality Plumbing) and they sent somebody out the next day. He looked things over and gave me some options (including referring me to another company that offers hydro jetting because he didn't think augering the line would work with the massive tangle of roots that were in the line). I decided to take a chance and have him auger the line anyway and he pulled out every last root (he told me I should play the lottery because of how lucky it was that he actually got them out). I was impressed with his expertise and also that he was willing to refer me to a different company when he thought that would be the better course of action. I started my morning with a call from my rental tenant that the hot water heater had gone out again. Being that I live in Montana i jumped on yelp looking for someone close that could help. Tim's was the first one back to me! In less than 10 minutes no less! Upon hearing my dilemma, Ashley, one of their fine dispatchers jumped int action and had someone at the house within a couple of hours (awesome). Shortly thereafter i had a call from the plumber on site who explained the situation. I decided to go ahead and replace the unit, hoping that it could get done by Friday fingers crossed. We had a very bad experience with AArt's Speedy Plumbing. My 91 year old mother paid a total of $455 for a simple replacement of washing machine water shut-off valves. Another plumber had given her an estimate of about $200 to do this job, but he would not wear a mask during this coronavirus time, so she hired this company. The plumber "Ike" was unprofessional; she had to ask him twice to put his mask back on. When he connected the drain hose to the drain pipe, he asked her for an old rag to secure it. Really? And charging more than master plumbing rates? I called the company and requested to speak to the owner, but he has not returned my call. Shoddy work and financial exploitation of a senior is a crime. Bad experience actual bill was twice as much as what the quote was. when I spoke with him to see why we were charged twice the amount of what the quote was they told me because it took twice as long as expected to work on it. I said yes that is correct That's because your plumber did not have the correct tool so he sat there and tried to get the job done with the wrong tool instead of going to buy the proper tool so he could do it in the correct amount of time. We called Aarts and Tims for a running toilet. The tech came out the same day to repair. However, after replacing a part that didn't solve the problem - We were still charged for the service call. When we told them the problem was not fixed we had a second visit by another plumber from Aarts and Tims who said we needed to replace the whole toilet unit. This visit was again charged for parts and labor. They said they were giving us a discount for the first call, but why were we charged at all when the problem was NOT fixed during that call. BEWARE - Speedy, but SPENDY $$$$$ - you'll pay an arm and a leg if you use them. They will not quote an hourly rate (by the job only) and it will be $200+ per hour. My regular plumber had surgery and wasn't working, so I called Tim's, and was shocked that the bill was 2x's what I expected. Plus when we needed a drain catch, my husband offered to go and pick it up a few miles away and he said he had it on the truck.... charged $140 for a part we could have bought for $40. What a joke. I called and talked with him, and they offered me $25 off my next bill - WHAT is that a JOKE?? I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. Customer service was pathetic after the fact. He will say we agreed to the price when the plumber arrived (they have many) but what were we going to do at that point? Turn him away?? We should have - live and learn. ALSO this review was posted and deleted somehow from June and 6 months later all his work is shoddy and things are falling apart with my water dispenser - UGH!
