DO NOT use this company to service or repair of your AC/Heating units. They have unexperienced service technicians. They broke my thermostat during a routine service for my AC unit. They sent out another technician to try to fix it and he asked for the owners manual because he was not familiar with the thermostat. They could not fix it and billed me for the second visit and I was left with a broken thermostat. read more

They installed my AC/heating unit years ago in my new house. We had to have them out twice before we moved in because there were problems with the installation causing the unit to malfunction. Since then we have had them out another five times or so for similar issues. Each time they say that they either couldn't find a problem but it's workin now, or that they definitely found the problem and fixed it. It works for a few months and the same problem pops up again. They are punctual, polite and professional, except that there seems to be some problem with the quality of their worksmanship. read more

Installed 2 HVAC units when we built our house about 20 years ago. Had them come relocate one of the units a year later as it was put in the wrong location by the builder. Due to a very small coolant leak we had to have them out to service the unit they moved every 3 to 4 years, I was informed by Mike (the service tech who came out several times) that the expense to locate and repair the leak could be very expensive and because the leak was so small, that servicing the unit every few years would be a ok option, so that's what we did, every few years when it needed it we had them come service the unit. I never had any issues with Johnson Air and I was ok with having the unit serviced every 3 or 4 years, I would also buy all my filters from them and change them myself. It's been 4 years and now the unit is not cooling again, I gave them a call and was informed that I was not a current customer as I had not had them service my home since 2018 and that they would no longer be able to service the unit in the future, the units that they installed (be it 20 years ago) and were the only ones who ever serviced the units. I guess as long as you are buying a new system or will commit to having your HVAC system serviced by Johnson Air every year or two so you'll be considered a current customer and all will be good, otherwise they can't be bothered with the little stuff! I have just one thing to say to Johnson Air, units that are 20 years old may need to be replaced today or in the near future, guess who will not be getting that call! I have always tried to support the businesses who built my home but I guess after the warrantee expires there is no reason to do so these days. In closing I guess I can't recommend a company who gives there customers an expiration date. Johnson air, THUMBS DOWN! read more

I would definitely recommend Johnson Air!!! I was told by an by a DIFFERENT company that I needed to buy a new thermostat. We have a Bryant multi zone unit and Johnson Air was the only vendor in the area. The gentleman came out the next day and asked what was happening with the unit. He checked the wiring first and was honest showing us that it was just a loose wire. We didn't need to replace the unit after all. So all it took was tightening the loose wire and a few bolts to hold the unit in place. He was honest and saved us about $400+ dollars. He also showed us how to properly use the unit. I've owned my home for 5 years and didn't know how to control the different zones. I was very happy with their service and the money I saved due to his honesty and knowledge. My air conditioning quit on a hot day in July and Johnson Air came out the very next day. They had the parts to replace the worn out parts right on their truck. The serviceman was efficient and professional. He explained what needed to be done and which parts were worn out. The price was fair and only the parts that were needed were replaced. These folks are very honest and dependable. They replaced our home's 35 year old A/C system and duct work last spring and we have saved hundreds of dollars on our PG&E bill since. They were quick, clean, efficient and thorough. Then in the fall our rental house system was acting up. Johnson Air's service guy diagnosed a collapsed duct that needed to be replaced. They replaced 15' of duct and the system has been running smoothly and quietly ever since. I can't give JA a higher recommendation except to say they have awesome integrity and I wouldn't call anyone else for service or installation. read more

Johnson Air is a joke! They claim it takes 5 To 10 business days to get a part .lol I guess they don't know about overnight service. So the only thing I can think of is that they put off warranty work as long as possible. If it was up to me, I would tell them to go ----- themselves! You call and leave a message but no one calls you back. Poor customer service! read more
