When I called on 7/19/2021 requesting service repair on my second house their Service Technician Joseph N. arrived in a timely fashion. Joseph is very knowledgeable, pleasant, and quickly determined the repair that need to be done. The policy of HSI is a $99.00 charge to come to the site and I agreed to it. Unbeknown to me HSI bills for repairs in various steps / price levels based on what work is done. This was not made explained to me by HSI. So I was billed $404.00 for a 20 minute installation of a $20.00 part. When I sent an email to HSI questioning the billing I was ignored. So apparently they are good at installing systems, but gouge you when future repairs are needed. My advice shop around when you need repairs. Evidently being a repeat customer means nothing to them and that's sad because they lost me for any future work

I called them on Monday and they said they would be out late morning on Tuesday(this was the week of 8/17/2020). Tuesday came, waited all day. No one showed, no one called. So I called(about 2:45pm) and was told they were still coming. No one came, no one called. To this day, 7 days later, no one from this company has yet to call to offer an explanation or an apology. Not only will I never call them again but I will never recommend them either. Terrible customer service is an understatement. The next day I called one of their competitors and they were out in less than 30 minutes, found the issue, and made repairs. That's how you gain a lifelong customer.
