Th staff seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, but we took our time picking out what we wanted. Staff was helpful and asked about the yelp ad because they recently started advertising. They didn't seem to know about the yelp special at first, but another staff corrected it. We bought a selection to last our visit. Everything was beautiful, but the taste was mediocre. We split: tiramisu (not much of a coffee flavor); strawberry shortcake (fresh, moist, but needed more strawberry); iced sugar cookies (the best things there); salted caramel cookies (fairly bland); strawberry and lemon crumble bars (too salty and sweet); a lemon cheese tart (couldn't taste the lemon, but otherwise good); a glazed pretzel donut and a caramel long john (both felt heavy and tasted greasy without a lot of flavor). Stopped in our way up to Green Bay. We shared a crueller and it was fresh and tasty. We also took a slice of the lemon shortcake to go and that was very very good. Very fresh with a great lemon flavor and a nice amount of whipped cream( buttercream?) to balance out the tang of the lemon curd. Would definitely go back and try more items. Oh my! Why can't this bakery be closer to home? I came in for breakfast and found myself quickly and happily enjoying a blueberry bear claw along with a mint cappuccino. I enjoyed my breakfast inside at one of their tables in the seating area. The employees were friendly and greeted me when I walked in. They have a huge selection of cookies and donuts, I wish I could've tried one of everything!! read more

The atmosphere was cute and the blended coffee was good. But there weren't prices on the pastries and the staff was pushy. Right when we walked in they asked what we wanted and didn't give us time to look at what they had. I appreciate good service but I feel like this was going too far. read more

Really charming place. Cozy, cafe style seating area. Had an eclair which my husband said was ever bit as good as Clery's in Savannah and a bear claw (almond). Both yummy. Even nicer, we went on a Monday and got the senior special (discount on our pastries in place of free donut.) read more

Great little place with a lot of things to eat plus if you got a sweet tooth it will be satisfied.

My absolute favorite. We go at least once, maybe twice a year- whenever we're in town. Love love love the doughnuts, and some ice cold juice to go with it. And if you're frying out, get your rolls here- totally traditional, perfect crust, and tons of flavor. I hope you'll drop by soon! read more

This place explodes on Saturdays so plan accordingly. All the gals behind the counter hustle but just double-check your bag before walking out. What was supposed to have been a cruller turned out to be some cinnamon-sugar donut stick thingie when I got home. Still, was quite good but didn't satisfy the cruller craving I had. read more

Traveled to our hometown of Sheboygan to visit this favorite from years gone by. Purchased cookie dough that was over 2 WEEKS expired from their freezer case. Didn't notice it until we got home and called. They were very rude and assured us it was OK. to eat - NOT!!! Not the Johnston's I remember, trying to be an upscale coffee house. Stick to food safety. Very rude, at lease they could have offered a reimbursement. When I visit Sheboygan again I will use better judgment and go to good old City Bakery. read more

Twice I have ordered cakes from here and they are horrible! Incredibly dry and they don't listen when you give them an order. I order a cake for my daughters birthday and they did multiple types of flowers when one was specified and the wiring was horrible. I know if I did it, it would have looked better. I told them I was dissatisfied and told them to scrape off the writing at least and I would rewrite it. They scraped off the writing and it looked like crap. I asked for an icing knife to fix it and the girl walked away. I stood there asking for the knife and she huffed saying there were other "more important" customers to wait on. She handed me a knife and I tried to fix it but they already did the damage. I put the cake on their counter and demanded for a refund and the girls name that was huffy with me. She immediately said "I'm Megan and you are rude!" What ever happened to good customer service and making sure every customer leaves satisfied with what they needed. I needed a cake to not look like crap and very basic instructions. Roses, certain color for roses, inscription, certain color for inscription and they couldn't handle it. I am incredibly displeased and there are other bakeries in Sheboygan that are far better. I will never spend money there again...it's a waste. City Bakery or a grocery store is where I will go. Megan is atrocious and a horrible addition to the bakery team. She doesn't understand customer service and how to deal with a business that gets busy. There were quite a few people in the shop at that time and another guy had to have his cake redone because they couldn't spell a name. Immediately Megan said "I called to confirm and this is what I was told." Shame on Megan for doing the first cardinal sin in customer service...make an excuse for something that was the company's fault to just blame the paying customer. Horrible service! read more
