The article elaborates on how customers are left holding the nag after paying for deposits and purchases for new appliances. Undoubtedly the appliances were figured in to Christmas holiday plans. However Bah Humbug! as Howard's never operated ethically with customer satisfaction in mind. I feel bad for the many customers that are out of $$thousands paid in good faith with the expectation of receiving new appliances for Christmas. The financial shafting and rude response we received from the Tustin Howard's store, the assistant manager, and customer service is pale compared to what most recent customers are being treated. Undoubtedly many good and ethical employees are being severely economically injured. My heart goes out to all of those ex-employees (no including one specific assistant store manager). I guess this is happy holidays from Howard's.

The gas company suspected the regulator needed to be replaced. OC Repair Master had good Yelp reviews, so I made an appointment. Mel had to order the part directly from Viking. He gave me an exact breakdown of the cost and deducted the diagnosis fee. When he replaced the part, the burners were only a little improved. He said the original regulator did not work correctly. He thought there might be a problem with the gas line, and he came back with an associate that had more gas experience. The line was unblocked, and the burners now work beautifully. The work was done quickly, and Mel & Sergey were very nice. The only downside was that I had to pay by cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted.

I can confirm that their prices are legitimately at least 60% off Best Buy, Lowe's, Home depot for the exact same models. They had about 100 in stock, mostly stainless steel. Some had minor dents on the front, some had no dents but a scuffed microwave handle, etc. You can pick your poison, but their most dented units are still nice - B+ at worst. There were around 10 units under $150, and we walked out with a nice wall mounted stainless steel microwave for under $110.
