When I first moved into my unit, the next door unit was filled with items reeking of cat urine. When I reported it, they took 5 months to have the neighbor remove their items. My blankets, mattresses and other belongings smelled so bad it was nauseating. They refused any compensation and I had no means to move all of my stuff out. Fast forward to now, they offer discounts to new customers but refuse to extend the same discounts to existing customers. The employee even called the owner to ask and he said he is unwilling to offer anything to an existing customer. So they would rather lose a long time customer instead of rewarding a loyal one? I was then told that i can have someone else rent the unit under their name. I would have to move everything out, close out my contract and then move everything back into a whole different unit. I will take my business elsewhere ASAP. Without the discounts they are one of the more expensive companies anyways. Just another case of horrible customer relations. read more

It's a secure facility with 24 hr servalience cameras monitoring all activities on the property and recording such activities on hard drive I highly recommend Taylor Road Storage..also it's location is very convenient to access I live about 5 miles away and can arrive at the facility in less than 10 minutes read more

Taylor Road Storage located on 3000 Taylor Road in Roseville, is the most professional storage facility I have ever used. I was pretty distraught when I had to rent a unit because I was losing my apartment due to a huge rent increase. Andy, the manager, was very kind and understanding during such a tough time. There were days that I went in to check my storage and he'd always come around while he was on there rounds, to ask how life was going for me. He always had a smile and would tell me "things were going to get better", and they finally did . Andy made my whole experience easy from choosing a unit to filling out the paperwork. I had my unit for 4yrs! Every time I went in or called to pay my bill, Andy and his staff we're always efficient and provided excellent communication with courtesy calls regarding my upcoming bill and to process my payment; they did so to help prevent me from paying late fees. How many businesses Do that?! I never had Any problems the entire 4yrs I had my storage unit with them. I recommend Taylor Road Storage to anybody and everybody. I had very short notice when it came to moving my mom from her apartment to our house, and there was a lot of stress. I'd never had use for a storage unit before so was cold calling all over the place. I was surprised at how many facilities acted as if my business wasn't their priority. When I called Taylor Road the man on the other end of the line made me feel as if I my situation was his priority. He explained different options , sizes, accessibility to the unit, if there were items requiring special storage. (Remember I'd never needing storage before.) I've had a storage space here for at least 10 years. It used to be run like a family mom-and-pop operation when Pat and Tom were there, which was great! They were always eager to help. Now, the place is run like any other landlord-tenant operation, which it is, of course. That being said, the personal service and character of the facility under the previous operators is what set it apart from other self-storage facilities. Shop around. Because this place offers nothing in the way of its facility or customer service to set it apart from the competition. read more

I have been with Taylor Road Storage for over six years. In that time, I have had contact with the former onsite managers Tom and Pat many times. They always took care of any problems I had and helped with any issues. They are no longer there and I called in late last month before my automated charge would go through and ask the guy there to hold the charge until the 9th. While on the phone with this employee, we discussed running the card on the 9th and he would note it. Then he came up with a back up plan. If I found that he could not run the card on the 9th, I would drive to the office on the 8th and give them a check. I knew it would not be necessary but I said okay. I watched the account to see if he had ran the card and as of today he had not so I called. The gal in the office currently, said his note reads I would be in on the 8th to pay and that's it so I will have to pay a late charge. She was supposed to call her manager to see if the charge could be removed but the manager said no (according to the gal). The guy was also supposed to send me paperwork for an address change and he was to update my phone number back in November 2012. I gave him two numbers back in November to contact me at. The paperwork never showed up and the information was not in the system according to the gal. He is no longer there so it became my problem. I literally paid for their mistake. As well, the gal claims she tried several numbers in the system and they did not work. Strange I have had this cell phone number for over 12 years and I find it hard to believe that it was not in their system. hmmm? I was told he was a great employee...I see that he did not update the system, wrote the information regarding the payment incorrectly, and forgot to send me necessary paperwork. I must just be unlucky when it comes to storage???? I started to have this message seen with their names but it could cost them in the future. Be careful, it's not just the company who can take a hit from bad customer service. read more

The facility is good, but the policies are terrible. That's because the owner acts like it's "corporate policy" but he's just the guy with the office next door! No humanity at all and all the awful things that are said about him are true so he brings this on himself. Probably why he runs all those "3 months free" campaigns because he always has tenants leaving, or more likely, losing everything to auction. Watch out, because he will fine and fee you to the limit and beyond. So if you have another choice, give someone else who's decent your business. read more
