Very rude and just wants your money $$!! I'm just appalled by how they're staring at the monitor assuming everyone is a thief and not able to pay for what they came in for!! i don't come to this store often, only to buy specific things but last time i came in i had the worst experience. i've boughten a nose ring that was so thin that it got caught on my towel when getting out the shower and bent open to the point where it couldn't be bent back into place so i came back and bought another one but the worker helping me was beyond rude. i asked if she could unlock the case for me so i can get one but when she took it out it wasn't the one i was looking for so i asked her where the one i was looking for was and she shut and locked the case and said "read them" and turned the other way without even telling me where the one i wanted was at. i specifically asked her where the kind i wanted was at when she rudely told me to "read them" that i just ended up picking up another thin nose ring that literally felt like a staple in my nose. the same thing happened where it fell out cus of low quality and i ended up going to another beauty supply close by and found the same exact ones they were selling me for $2 less than i paid!! this one isn't even a good beauty supply to be acting like that honestly. the owners are very nice but the employees they hire need a customer service training or something. even tho i don't frequent beauty supply's often this one is forever crossed off my list. i won't ever be stepping foot in here again. read more

I saw the reviews and people saying they felt like they were being watched and I didn't feel that way at all I felt like they were watching their merchandise not the customer it is not in the best area there were homeless in the parking lot and you can tell they deal with a lot of theft because there were pictures on the door of repeat offenders but I felt like their products were beautiful and affordable and of good quality I got some pretty hair clips and some beautiful eyeshadow pallets that went on smooth and true to color the store owner also helped me pick out an eyeliner that went on dark and smooth and when I came home and tried it I was satisfied with my purchases my little one picked out some butterfly clips and she looked so beautiful when she decorated her hair with them I would shop here again and I do recommend this business for cosmetic needs read more

I came here just to see if they had what I was looking for, even after reading the reviews I still came to have my own experience. The place is tucked away in a shopping center I'm not sure on what other stores are located in the shopping center but it's in the back. I walked in only look like one person was at the front of the store not too many employee there when I went. The guy seemed nice and when I had a question he answered. I did not get anyone following me, maybe I need to come at a different time. They had a lot of products and supply, how can you not find something here. I found what I was looking for even more. The most demoralizing experience I ever had!! I was excited to find this store because I am new to the city .The first visit I had , I thought they were following me around because they wanted to give me great customer service .But the second time the Pettit lady was following me around and spying on me.I didn't notice at first because I was on the phone.But then I found her picking for the other corner of the store multiple times.even my kids noticed that . The funny thing is I couldn't find an item I was looking for and ask the spying lady to help me find it ( since she is always around me ) for my surprise she didn't know what it was and she told me to ask the person at the register. It literally has horrible customer service, went there with my friend to get lashes for prom. Had to go home and get money so I asked the lady to hold the lashes for me she ended up switching them out and when we got to the register, the lady said she would not switch them and only make me add to my purchase. Not worth it when I got the lashes the packaging was very damaged. also had asian ladies following me at every corner. The customer service was really rude and lied to me about having stuff because they thought it was out of my price range. Mind you this place was only $10 at max. if you want to be treated with kindness and equality don't come here. Try a new location. Me and my friend after finding out what they did called begged for a refund because it was birthday money and didn't get one. In the past I've come and received mediocre customer service- just fair enough to get me to return. However, the past several times I've come, I have been met with confused employees and frustrated shoppers, including myself. There are only two representatives that speak English, an older man and younger lady. Then the other 4 sales clerks walk around hovering over you as if they are expecting you to steal something. When I turned around to ask the lady if she could help me find something, she was confused and stated she couldn't understand; yet, had been following me as if she were at my every beck and call! I've been going to Bless/Joinus since I moved to Bakersfield from Los Angeles and it has been a god send! Incredible selection and their prices are extremely reasonable. The other stores I found in town either didn't have the selection I needed for hair or were literally 2-3x the price for the same exact brand/length. Yes, they do watch you while you shop but unfortunately it's a necessary evil and they have to since people will take advantage otherwise. I never take it personal and appreciate the service I receive whenever I ask for help. They're very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to the hair products they carry. Other than hair this is a great store to buy false lashes at! Any brand or style you want, they most likely have. So thankful that we have this store in Bakersfield! read more

I was followed through out the store the entire time. Every single isle I went on I was followed and watched. This Asian male worker followed me throughout my entire visit in the store. They accused me of stealing because I was walking around holding the lashes and glue I was going to purchase, looking at hair extensions. The owner came up accusing me of putting something in my bag, I proceeded to open my bag & prove my innocence & she then said well there's a security sticker on the floor right here, I saw you take it off. There was still stickers on the lashes so I left. Usually I trust these guys but today I had a lot of trouble with a purchase with bad advice from the employee. I clearly have red hair and wanted to buy extensions that I can buy and dye to match my hair. He suggested these extremely hair virgin hair extensions and said they would lift with a 30 volume with my hair. I said " these are so dark my hair isn't that dark at all." He said "Iv seen it some before" so I dye it and it did nothing. I went back and showed him and he suggested that I bleach them and dye them again. I bleached them with 20v for about an hour and they barely lifted at all. So $80 down the drain and then some for an obvious bad suggestion. I just wanted to trust them cuz I'm not the professional. And of course once you open the package not in the store they automatically won't take returns or exchanges even if it wasn't tampered with so... bye $80. read more

I'm giving them 1 star. Only reason why I'm giving the one star is because they have all sorts of brands and products in stock, however the customer service is disappointing. I have been shopping there for years and every time I go in there I feel like I'm being followed and watched. Purchased a wig for $299.00 upon leaving the store I decided to check the box to make sure I got the correct contents lo and behold it's the wrong wig I have no idea what this wig is and if it's even the same wig for that price. I spoke with one of the cashiers and she stated since I left the store there was no exchange. Her exact words were I quote " it's like buying panties you don't take them and wear them and exchange them" very unprofessional. I went here because my original store niffersons was closed at the time and I thought hey might as well try join us Beauty supply. Turns out they had a 10$ off every 40$ you spend coupon and a 10% off and he charged me for everything and didn't tell me about them till afterwards and wouldn't give me the refund. Then I get home with my 180$ extensions and come to find out it's not even completely 100% human hair like promised. It has synthetic hair mixed in with the human hair! This place is a total rip off! If you're going to put synthetic hair blended in at least make the prices lower. I do not recommend this place! Niffersons beauty supply on California is where you can get more for your money WITHOUT FAKE HAIR IN 100% human hair! It was 150 a pack smh . Went to my hair stylist and she instantly told me it wasn't real smh .
