I come here when my other store I go too don't have the item I'm looking for. It's nice and bright in the inside and the staff are friendly. They all types of hair products even my discontinued shampoo and conditioner like to use. They open all week with different hours on the weekend. Came back here of course because the staff is super nice and we are greeted with a smile. They have a lot of choice when it comes to hair care, beauty and everything else. The prices I'm not sure if they are high or low but they have what I need when I need it majority of the time. They have a point system, and i signed up. Every dollars you spend you get a point, so that cool, remember to check in with your number and you will start ranking up the points to get free stuff. They also have a bday deal and it's free so why not. read more

I went in the last 15-20 mins before closing without realizing since it was kind of early. They did not inform us they were going to close soon. I was looking around and as i was the lady at the counter had stopped the music then another employee said 'oh that means to get the f*** out' and then proceeded to laugh. This beauty supply store has been around forever, I used to shop at it over 10 yrs ago. They really have everything there that's on the cheaper side. They don't have any professional supplies like they would at Cosmo prof or salon centric. So if you're looking for pro supplies don't go here. If you're looking for wigs braiding supplies, etc.. this is the right place. They had what I needed at a fair price. I'll be back. I refer people here for things sometimes. This place is a rip off. They over price everything in their store saying that the company raised their price. When I first bought extensions, it was $50 cheaper than another place I used to go to up North. Several months later they jack their price by $150 more. What crap are they selling not quality hair but cheap not real human hair. I would not come back nor recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm glad I found this place for synthetic wigs, I love it, The price was reasonable. First the people that work their was not too helpful but after I asked for help and questions they were pretty helpful. So much better than ordering online. Online takes a while to receive the wig and sometimes you are not happy with the product . But here you can at least see it and feel it. Sure I'm going back for more wigs. read more

So rude and not helpful at all. I went in asking about their extensions, not once did she make eye contact with me. She only pointed at the one she thought "matched my hair color," and that was it. I had to ASK to see the one she chose, it seemed like it was such a bother to ask to see them. I asked for the price and quality and she was so rude and short with me. I was not pleased with this location after my encounter with the owner that was of Asian descent. The reason I point this out is that there are many people from different races and backgrounds that shop in Chinese/Asian shops and spend a lot of money and they deal with the nasty attitudes of the workers in these shops. I decided to stop in the store because I purchased lashes at Sally Beauty Supply of which I have been a member for years. I saw a Youtube video where young ladies were using a lash tool and I decided to stop in and look for this tool at Amen. I went to the counter to make the purchase and placed the eyelash tool on the counter. I had a pair of my gold-trimmed round sunglasses. The Oriental lady rang up the eyelash tool and looked at me rather peculiar and asked while staring at my sunglasses if that was all. I looked at her and replied, yes that is all since that was the only thing handed to her. I will NEVER step foot in that store again. The name of the store is deceiving. When I see Amen I think of a Godly place, and the attitude and behavior towards blacks, based on the color of their skin. There is another lady that typically in the shop that does not appear to be oriental and she is very pleasant. There is a Hispanic lady that works there and she has always had a pleasant attitude; however, the Oriental lady did not. I will spend my money where it is appreciated with great to excellent customer service. I urge any others that have experienced a negative attitude to spending their dollars somewhere else. This one negative experience has made a negative impact on what beauty supply store is worthy of my hard-earned money, I don't care if I have to order it online from Amazon sobeit.
