Food was really yummy! There's a little bit of everything and it's all good! A bit on the expensive side but worth it! The waitress offered us a sample of the crab soup which earned its rating on "best on the Eastern Shore". It was o good and had huge chunks of crabmeat in it. I got that and a grilled cheese. I started the review while waiting for the meal I ordered to go. I hope the 4-piece "Best Fried Chicken" meal tastes better than the salad bar looks. It appears the items on the salad bar may have been sitting a while. I came in just after 3pm to get take out for dinner. The salad was not appealing and I didn't eat it. When I saw the salad bar items I should've requested a refund and skipped it. The fried chicken was fresh, well seasoned and delicious. The seasoned rice and green beans were also good. You MUST try this place! JoJo's was exceptional! We had a group of 5 traveling from the Western shore and PA to a Salisbury HS Rock n Roll Revival and we stopped for lunch. Plentiful menu choices with the daily specials gave a great variety of options. The MD Cream of Crab soup was voted best on the Eastern shore. Cynthia was our waitress and she provided incredible service and guidance on the menu. The fish and chips were delicious! The Crab Soup lived up to its claim to fame, the brisket Mac-n-cheese was great, although I'd ask for the bbq sauce on the side next time, and the brisket and cheese sandwich was very tender and moist. This is a solid 5 dining experience IMHO. The place has very private areas for low noise as well, and it had extremely clean restrooms. Try it, you'll love it! read more

We were in town for a sports tournament and used Yelp to find a decent place for dinner. JoJo's definitely fit the bill for a casual spot for me and my 8 year old. It was pretty quiet when we walked in around 5:30pm on a Friday. We were greeted by numerous staff as we entered and moved around the restaurant. The salad bar was my choice. It's certainly not the best quality veggies and fixings but it was adequate for me to keep with my healthy eating options. I'm not a fan of them having most of the cut veggies sitting in water... doesn't seem sanitary and probably wouldn't pass an inspection as it's allowing the vegetables to remain moist and probably not very clean. My daughter had a pasta dish that she really enjoyed. The complimentary bread they provided also kept her quite happy. Overall the experience was very welcoming and comfortable. The salad bar could definitely be improved with fresher greens and less sitting water. read more

My food was delicious they even made me a special GF crab cake ! Did forget the old bay on my fries but quickly brought some with some ranch dipping sauce. Coleslaw was tasty. OMG AMAZING!!!! The first thing you will notice is how beautiful the place is inside with all the separate alcove offering a wonderful place for people to dine Our service has always been prompt, attentive, accurate in the delivery of food. Just a wonderful dining experience. Many times we come in there and our minimum party is six but we've been as high as 12 and we still get the same great service. Everything at JoJo's was absolutely AMAZING! Our server Ty provided AMAZING customer service. He was friendly and was willing to answer any questions we had. This was our first time visiting and we are definitely going to drive across the bridge to visit again. I love how the tables are set up to make you feel like you are in your own private room, that was an amazing touch! The crab chowder!! OMG!! So good! They are known for that so we definitely had to try it out. I could've just had a big bowl of that. I am for sure going to drive back for that alone. Best Cream of Crab soup I've ever eaten The waitress was kind, courteous and answered our questions with a smile

The place is very clean and has an ambiance of something much different than what I experienced. Tables, wall coverings, pictures and other accoutrements give the impression that this is a mid level restaurant and the expectations are of that. We ordered the crab dip appetizer with sourdough bread. Dinner rolls were great and rivaled that of Texas roadhouse with the cinnamon flavored butter. Crab dip came to the table with the appearance of a sourdough bread bowl and the presentation was spot on. Small pieces of bread (not sourdough) was surrounding the bread (not sourdough) bowl and although somewhat tasty, not what I expected. There was very little crab, and sauce resembled a cream sauce with Old Bay seasoning as the main flavor. If you're going to advertise "Sourdough" the expectation is you will receive "Sourdough" and not just bland bread. A person in our group ordered a "bang-bang shrimp Po Boy" as a dinner entre. What was delivered was the bang-bang shrimp appetizer. As we were telling the person delivering the food that this was incorrect, they just turned and walked away. Our impression? Not their problem. When we saw the food delivery person come to a nearby table and got their attention, the response was "I just deliver the food, you'll need to tell your server". Wow. Another person ordered the Cream of Crab bowl of soup as their main dish. It was served with the appetizer. Oddly enough, it seemed to be the same flavor as the crab dip appetizer. I ordered the seasonal fish and jumbo shrimp with old bay seasoned fries. I could not get a commitment on what type of fish it was, but I can say that it was definitely deep fried to a point where the texture and flavor was indistinguishable. The shrimp was so overcooked that I was fearful of breaking a tooth. Overall, I would say I am disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I think this may be just what we get for service now days. Marginal attention to actual service and marginal if not bland food offerings. I'm just traveling through so not likely I'll be back anytime soon, but if I do happen along this way, I'll go somewhere else. read more

In talking about Jojo's with my wife this morning, her first review was that our waitress Gaby was very nice. It says something about a restaurant when the best thing about the restaurant was the server. I see that they advertise that they are a "family restaurant" featuring "seafood and steak." I would take exception to both descriptions. In a "family restaurant", I expect a wide variety of dishes to satisfy the whole family. Kind of like an upscale diner. Anyone with the same expectations will be disappointed. While admittedly, we didn't have kids with us, there does not appear to be a kids menu. (Perhaps it is separate and only provided to a party with kids.) I found the menu very limited, and relying on fried foods. For appetizers, the seafood selection included two kinds of shrimp, plus fried oysters and crab dip. The land lubbers section included wings, tater tots, and two kinds of Nachos (both severely over priced!). There is a choice of two soups, and for salad, there is only the salad bar. So if you wanted a side salad, it was make it yourself at the salad bar for $10. There was a "Touch of Italy" section on the menu, but it was hardly competition for Olive Garden, let alone a true Italian restaurant. The seafood section relied heavily on shrimp and "seasonal fish." Steaks consisted of sirloin or NY strip, which is a specialty cut of sirloin. The filet mignon pictured in this Yelp listing is not on the menu. Another review mentions "specials." We were not told about any specials. Hey, how about some roast Turkey, or ham? There is a "soup and salad bar" offering. There are only two soups listed, cream of crab and French onion. There is a $4 up charge for cream of crab! Since not much on the limited menu caught our eye, both my wife and I opted for a brisket bowl, with various toppings. The serving was hearty, and we could hardly complain about the concoction, since it was of our own design. The brisket was tender and tasty. However, fully half the bowl was plain ole white rice. The ingredients were layered in, which didn't bother me, but annoyed my wife. If she dug down to get some black beans, she quickly broke into the rice base. We both brought home half our portions! Oh, the bread basket that someone described as rivaling Texas Roadhouse, consisted of four two inch breadsticks, two with what appeared to be garlic butter. There was no cinnamon butter in sight! We had heard good reviews of this restaurant, and obviously, many other reviewers loved the place. Our meals were tasty, and as described on the menu. We did not get their signature crab soup or crab cakes. But it seems to me that those specialties would not be enough to save this restaurant from its lack of choice and weird menu. read more

That said, we're staying at the Hampton across the parking lot and I had the cheese steak ( because they were out of what I wanted). Terrible. It was clear that the sandwich was microwaved as the bread was so tough and the steak was ok, but just like a pot roast. Nothing like a phili cheesesteak that I was hoping for. And it was $22. My wife orders the smothered pork chops and ok, but again, not very good. Tough. We stay here a lot and it's so convenient that I'd like to give them another chance, but.... November 10, 2024 had lunch with fiancé. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. Staff were very polite professional and friendly ( smile friendly ). This is a review I really don't want to write but I have to. First off let me say I have had the Cream of Crab soup from this location and the Georgetown DE location in the past and proclaimed it the BEST EVER! This is saying something because I live at the beach and I have had Cream of Crab all over the country. The to-go order were expensive (likely the most I have paid anywhere) but worth it. We decided to try the full service restaurant for two reasons, the food (based on reviewed and our aforementioned soup experience) and because the owners support causes that we are committed to as well. So that is way I hate to write the rest of this review. The food was okay however the crab cake as really just a pile of crab warmed up, while I don't want a ton of filler I do like a crab cake that has structure. The green beans were good but the baked potato was small and dry. The bowl of cream of crab soup was very small for the very high price of $18 and just warm at best. The salad bar was certainly not worth the price and the pricing on the menu and the way the server totalled it really did not make sense. A cup of french onion which my wife ordered was 6 and the salad bar was 10 but if you got them together with an entree it was 18. We shared a double crab cake meal, we only had water with diner and the total with tip was over $100. Our server Noah was good but the timing/pace was a little rushed. The atmosphere is much like a caffertia (which is OK) but the prices are more like fine dining prices, Plus 40 for the entree, 18 for bowl of soup,,,$$$$. We are spoiled by the great seafood in Ocean City so I guess my expectations were high and I was very disappointed. I just felt like I overpaid for the overall quality of the meal, service and atmosphere. I recommend driving to OC and enjoy a great meal with a great view at one of the many possibilities. read more

We went there when they first opened and the food was good and the service was excellent. We tried it two more times and the service was horrible. They would not even come over and wait on us. We sat for over 25 minutes and no one came to even ask for a drink order so we left, they only had 3 other tables. A couple months later we decided to give them another chance and the same thing happened. No one ever came to take our drink order, so we left. I will not be going back there again. It's very disappointing. They had such a nice restaurant and have run it into the ground. read more

Let's start with Customer Service, very important to any business. My husband and I went to another restaurant and they gave us a menu, but another waitress said it wasn't no longer dinner, but late night items, it made us so unhappy that we left and fount this restaurant. Very clean and very nice. We walked in and asked if they were still open, they asked the kitchen staff, said yes and we were seated, they served us very politely. In town for a softball tournament and had a break in between games, decided to give this place a try. Walked in and the place is clean with a nice family feel. Hosts were very friendly and quick. The setup is so nice, each table has its own area. It's like eating in a dining room. The waitress was prompt and friendly. We had to order the cream of crab since we saw so many great reviews, also got crab cake sandwich. Our kids ordered a burger with fries and the Mac n cheese with apple sauce. Crab cake sandwich was pretty good, there's a dill mayo on it which is different but complimented the crab. Our son said the burger was great(he's picky and only eats burgers and pizza),so if he said it was great then it was since he's had burgers from everywhere. He even made the comment, Everything here is good, this is a great restaurant. From. 13yr old boy that doesn't talk much that is a huge compliment. He tried some of the cream of crab which he also said tasted really good(he usually doesn't like crab). The only thing we would say is the Mac n cheese could be better. It wasn't dry but it was lacking in flavor. Will definitely come back when we're in town. I would also recommend to people in the area to give it a try and support an independent restaurant. JoJo's Family Restaurant is AMAZING! We always look for a great place for a family dinner and this restaurant hit the mark! The layout offers a suite setting for a cozy down-home feeling. The staff provided a friendly atmosphere from the hostess and the server to the expo team. We had the crab dip appetizer for the table; it was phenomenal! The bread basket was also a big hit with the family. When we ordered we knew exactly what we wanted. Let me tell you Chef met our expectations. The BBQ Beast Burger was delicious the french fries were cooked perfectly, and I ordered a side of Mac and Cheese that I thought was very good! We also ordered the Jalapeño Burger and a Filet Mignon all of which were cooked perfectly and tasted great! If you like drinks, they have a decent selection of adult beverages and a superb deal that benefits the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Wicomico County, Maryland. As a life member of the DAV, I thought this was exceptional! I love this place and wish I lived closer so I could go more often... tho it is definitely worth the travel. The fresh baked bread is so freaking good. We had white bread, blueberry, and cinnamon. I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to. The crab dip comes out in a huge bread bowl. Now this is the only complaint I have.... the bread bowl wasn't enough of a bowl.... there was too much inner bread left inside. more than half the bowl was bread. The crab dip was delicious tho. I ordered the salmon for lunch. Seriously delicious. My husband got a burger and it must have been good because he finished it so fast I didnt even get to try it :) The fact that meals come with a dessert as well is such a good idea. We were in town for a baseball tournament and our team decided at the last minute to get together for dinner, which meant finding a place capable of seating a party of 25 impatient people who didn't want to wait, and also wanted amazing food and drinks. We tried calling local chain restaurants and the waits were pretty long for just a small group of us. When I checked with Jojo's and said there would be 25 of us, the manager's eyes got a little big lol, then he proceeded to give me a hug and promised to take care of us. They were able to seat us in their banquet room, and the manager was able to wait on our party. Also, the way they place food orders immediately via iPad meant that the food was ready to start serving as soon as he was done taking our large party's order.
