We were in town for Ironman Eagleman and needed to carb load. Carb load we did! To start. The place looks great and the service was top tier. The waitress was quick and very friendly. We showed up a little before our reservation and they were very accommodating. Let me also say, the entrees are ENORMOUS! The starter Caesar salads were so good. Good amount of dressing cheese and croutons. The Alfredo was good, the chicken wasn't the best but the sauce was pretty tasty. Same with the steak. Not bad but not amazing. The vegetable lasagna was the star. Absolutely huge and very, very good. Mushroom, spinach, cheese, saucey. What's not to love. Also you get a side and i got pasta (should've gotten a vegetable because i could barely eat more than a bite.) the sauce is so good. Lastly. The gelato and tiramisu. Not pictured but so so good! My opinion is get pasta or a parmigiana or something Italian. Steer from the meats unless it's a meat sauce. That's so good you won't need to try anything else. Also the desserts. Soooo good!! I giving 4 stars for service and atmosphere. The food was ok at best. We ordered filet mignon medium cooked. Look at the picture it was more medium rare but had an odd smell like old gray beef. It was tender but had a funky smell. We'll order it again in the future to see if it was a ine time thing. They removed it from out tab without an issue. We also ordered the chicken parm. That wasn't bad and came with a side,I ordered the pasta and salad. I like creamy Italian but the house salad dressing was bland. It looks like the star here are the pizzas because they had many sold while we were there.I will come back again. read more

Wednesdays are date night for my husband and me, and tonight we finally made it to Ripieno's Ristorante Italiano in Salisbury. As an Italian (my maiden name is Cecchetti), I could happily eat pasta every single day, so I've been looking forward to trying this place. They opened back in January, and although we meant to visit sooner, life got in the way. I can honestly say it was worth the wait. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. We both ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which comes with a Caesar salad made with shaved Parmesan and homemade croutons, along with fresh homemade bread served with butter, roasted garlic, and the most incredible dipping oil. Do yourself a favor and spread that roasted garlic on the bread and dip it in the oil. To die for! Honestly, the bread and salad alone would have made me happy. But then the homemade pasta arrived, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy without being overly heavy, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. This isn't your typical chain Italian restaurant. It's authentic Italian cuisine prepared with care, and you can taste the difference. The attention to detail extends far beyond the food. From the dishes and silverware to the lighting and décor, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The restaurant also overlooks Leonard Pond, with beautiful waterfront outdoor seating that I'm already looking forward to trying. The portions are generous, so chances are you'll have leftovers; which, in my opinion, just means you'll have an amazing lunch the next day. The prices are very fair for the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. You truly get a lot for what you spend. If you love authentic Italian food and haven't been to Ripieno's yet, put it on your list. We'll definitely be back. I think we may have found our new favorite date-night spot. read more

We visited this place for lunch and it was pretty disappointing especially for a first impression. We ordered the cooper sharp cheese sticks, chicken parm, the Philly cheesesteak & a 10in pizza with 2 toppings. For starters the cooper sharp cheese sticks tasted like land-o-lakes American cheese. No tang or sharp flavor what so ever. I had a Caesar salad (that came with my meal) which thankfully I ordered the dressing on the side. I understand it is house made but the anchovies were so overwhelming it was completely unenjoyable. The best part was the house made croutons. The chicken parm was delicious and cooked well. The marina sauce was the star of the plate. The cheesesteak was just ok. There was barely cheese on it and what little there was, was mozzarella instead of cheddar as stated on the menu. The pizza we actually did send back because the toppings (tomato & basil) were so overwhelming we were picking most of it off due to the huge chunks of hard tomatoes. We did request just a plain cheese pizza which they provided but unfortunately we were still charged for the toppings because (as explained by the manager) they still produced the items & that it cost them more to give us another pizza. The waitress was kind & provided a nice service. We spent approximately $100 for our meals + tip. I would not recommend this place for lunch. Maybe their dinner is better but I will not be taking a chance on that. read more

We went for valentines day. No real specials the entrees were good not great . Server forgot our sides until we got drinks . The lasagna was mediocre. As a Sicilian I was expecting fresh this was not close. The appetizer of 3 shrimp was laughable . Pizza was very good I feel like thats the freshest thing there since they were out of a few entrees its apparent they order more in than prepare in house. Too expensive for not being fresh . Really impressed by our first visit to Ripieno's. Service was exceptional and the food was incredible. Eggplant parm was perfection - huge portions and the complimentary bread and dipping oil were a great addition. Our first time at the Salisbury Ripieno's!! We love the one in Ocean City. We had the Caesar salad, margherita pizza, bread service and drinks. The Caesar salad was pretty generic, needed extra dressing and the croutons were out of a bag. Bread service was good. The addition of roasted garlic and butter was a plus! Drinks were good (Chardonnay and draft beer). We did have an espresso martini after dinner and that was VERY good! We have to give a shout out to our waiter, "Bartender Angel"!! He was EXCELLENT!! Angel was very professional, attentive and made that VERY good martini!! read more

My friend and I accidentally found it traveling north from VB. My mother was from Italy. This was the best eggplant parm I have ever had next to hers. Very thinly cut, tender, perfect marinara to accompany it. huge portions. My friend enjoyed the chicken parm. the chicken was properly pounded thin and was tender. We heading home and plan to stop there for lunch and pick up dinner food! Wonderful time. I highly recommend it!!! read more

Calamari was overcooked and could not even taste the meat, as well as being over priced. Unfortunately probably the worst in the area, which is a challenge to achieve in this area. Risotto was not finished, under cooked and very bland - not al dente' but molto dente'! I lived in Italy for several years and this risotto is NOT even close to a decent dish. Very disappointing to say the least. Then when we ordered the meat lasagna they delivered mushroom and spinach! Then when the bill arrived the meat lasagna was on the bill vs the spinach and mushroom. Very poor attention to detail and not even close to a decent Italian Restaurant - which unfortunately is typical for this area. We will not return. Another disappointing experience. All it takes is some attention to detail and pay attention to dishes, or just make pizza. read more

Our first experience at Ripieno's in Salisbury was fantastic. We arrived right at 4pm to avoid the dinner rush(glad we did, there were a lot of people waiting when we left) we were seated right away. My son and I got a 16" pizza that was cooked perfectly, great char and a crispy crust with minimal flop, exactly how we like it. My daughter got the fettuccine Alfredo, she said it was delicious, it looked very good, clearly homemade sauce. My wife got some other pasta with sausage(forget what it was called), she loved it. Service was very good, you can tell they're still getting their feet underneath them in a lot of ways, but the effort is definitely there. We will definitely be back, whenever they start offering carryout, it will become our go to pizza spot. 5/5 read more

I have now eaten at this restaurant 4 times and every time it is amazing. They are a new restaurant so they tend to run out of menu items fairly quickly, but that should get better the longer they're open for. The margherita pizza and fettuccine Alfredo were very tasty. My favorite part of the meal is the complementary bread they bring out. Baked to perfection and comes with a garlic butter and an olive oil/herb balsamic dip. Small tables, big prices. A group of us went to Ripieno's for an Italian dinner. Ripieno's came highly recommended perhaps because of the novelty of a new restaurant in town. Besides the pasta and pizza selections, there are many other Italian food dishes in the menu. The decor is nice and inviting but the tables tend to be small, with little space to accommodate 4 people. The food experience was not what expected. First, we had to change our order of red sangrias. Apparently, the restaurant had run out of red wine for the drinks. There was nothing memorable about the drinks delivered for $14 each. Overall, the price for regular dishes in the menu is high compared to the amount of food provided. For example, the order of shrimp (4) with a few small round potatoes (6) was overpriced at $22 (each order also includes a small Cesar's salad bowl). For anyone that has thought about going to Ripieno's Ristorante Italiano in Salisbury, save yourself the aggravation. We went for lunch today and it was awful. After an hour, we hadn't even gotten the salad yet. We were all on our drink refill before anything came to the table. Our food finally arrived AFTER we asked about it, but it was lukewarm at best. When we spoke to the manager, she could care less. Why would someone offer to reheat your food, instead of offering to remake it? She told us she was going to check the temperature of the food, even though she believed we thought it was cold. When I told her we wouldn't be back, she said OK. I can't imagine this place being around for long. It's one thing for food to take an hour if a restaurant is slammed, but this place had maybe 12 tables full. No one working there smiled and the vibe was off. It was definitely a one and done for us. read more
