Their smallest size is 2 scoops so you can choose 1-2 flavors. I got the Peanut Butter Cup and Mint Cookies n' Cream. I really enjoyed the Peanut Butter Cup but thought the Mint Cookies n' Cream was okay. It wasn't minty enough for me. They offer a free mini cookie with any ice cream order (regular or gluten free). Service was quick and friendly.

Vegan Ice Cream! Four vegan flavors to choose from on the day I dropped it. They keep the vegan tubs over on. Ack corner in separate freezers, separate from the regular ice creams out front in full view, so you Can't really see what they look like prior to ordering, but they will give you a mini taster spoon sample. A double chocolate chip, delicious, not heavy on the chocolate I wish it were heavier and deeper and darker, not too sweet, nice subtle & mellow in flavor. 2nd: chocolate, peanut butter brownie - good it was more of a light mild peanut butter flavored ice cream, I didn't taste or see much brownie. They had a mint chip, which I sampled. It was white and had a barely their mint flavor and then they had a passionfruit. The smallest size is a 2 flavor cup double scoop that was $7.50. Fast friendly service our outdoor seating in a nice patio area easy parking at the lumberyard.

A tiny little spot in the shopping center. I was walking up Third Street to shop and get a feel for Encinitas. After a bit of walking, I saw the sign for Jojo's and figured I'd get myself some ice cream. I had hiked 8.5 miles that morning so it was reasonable to treat myself! I ordered a waffle cone and two scoops - one coconut something (like an almond joy) and mud pie (coffee ice cream/brownies). The coconut scoop was on top, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The mud pie was below and by that point I was already getting full. I got one piece of brownie and it was just too rich for me. I should have stuck with just one flavor - and the coconut was much better. You get a free cookie with every ice cream you order, but I declined mine because I wasn't planning to eat it and didnt want it to go to waste. There's plenty of seating outside in the courtyard near the fountain. It was a pleasant place to sit and savor my sweet treat. I would come back again!

PSA: TRY THE CAYENNE SEA SALT CARAMEL !!! The ice cream is amazing, and the cones are the perfect texture and amount of sweetness. My second scoop was the mint cookies and cream--I also highly recommend. Everyone was very sweet and the service was efficient. Bonus: you get a delicious little cookie with your cone. Perfect place for a sweet treat!

Jojo's has it going on! Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin' Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin' Brought in midday Saturday. Love the vibe in here. Lots of flavors. Ones I've never heard of. Greeted with a smile. I asked to taste a couple flavors. They use metal spoons for tasting. Refreshing to not have that waste. I got the cayenne sea salt caramel and the Nibby chocolate. Perfect combo. The sea salt had that heat from the cayenne that paired with the chocolate very well. They had other unique flavors like lavendar, carrot cake, and ginger lemon honeycomb. With your purchase of ice cream you get a cute little chocolate chip cookie. They have a gluten free option too. Grabbed napkins and headed out. What a great stop. The ice cream was amazing. Hit the spot.

I stopped by this ice cream shop because I happened to be in the area. I ordered two scoops: the apple caramel crumble and mint cookies n' cream. It was really rich, delicious ice cream. And based on the sign in the shop it's organic and completely local. That didn't make it more healthy but it did make me feel like I contributing to local food artisans. It also comes with a small cookie. It's a really nice place for a treat. The woman who served me behind the counter was friendly and the shop has a nice vibe to it. One thing though: it's pricey. The JoJo, which is smaller than the regular, is $7.50.

I enjoyed the diversity of flavors at Jojo's Creamery and the allergens labels on each flavor. There are many gluten free and nut free options. I tried the peanut butter cup and chocolate flavors. The chocolate was rich and creamy but both flavors were a bit icy. You get a free mini cookie which each purchase and there were labeled gluten free options which was an awesome little extra. Overall the ice cream was tasty but the portion size was pretty small for $7.50

I got the jojo with mud pie and coconut munds as my 2 flavors. All the ice cream comes with a complimentary mini chocolate chip cookie! The ice cream and the cookie were both delicious. The staff were not friendly though and gave me the smallest sample spoon imaginable. I could barely taste it. The interior is very small so we sat outside at one of the tables to enjoy our ice cream.

I ate it too fast sorry

What on gods green earth.... This place is soooooo good. I had their butter rum pecan ice cream and WOW.... Also, their waffle cone is the best waffle cone I've ever had so there's that. To top it off, the chocolate chip they give you is moist and perfect. We ended up here because the lines at Cali Cream & Gelato 101 were too long and now I'll never eat at another ice cream place again. That is all, goodbye

After grabbing dinner nearby, we decided to end the night with a light dessert at JoJo's Creamery. It's a small casual ice cream store specializing in gluten free and vegan ice cream options. They use coconut milk and oat milk for many of their flavors which is a great alternative to cow's milk. They let you sample flavors if you'd like. I opted to get the vegan chocolate chip which was tasty. The free mini cookie was a sweet addition to the ice cream. Free parking in the lot which was nice. Several tables outside on the patio. Price ranges from $6.75-9.75 for ice cream. They also offer to go pint sizes for $13.

The ladies were super nice and really helpful when it came to my daughter's allergies. They used different sample spoon and scoop and even offered to open a new ice cream in case of cross contamination. Amazing service! We went with the Jojo and got the chocolate chip ice cream. She loved it and said it was delicious! Great spot to stop at when walking the 101. Lots of seating outside to just sit and relax. Also came with a little cookie.

    Regular dish , 3 flavors

Mmmm yummy It's a beautiful day in Encinitas and I was dying for ice cream . I thought to go to a place up the road which is "ok" but saw the sign for Jo Jo's and stopped in. Very friendly and quick service . I got a "regular" cup which allows 3 flavors. I got vanilla bean (always have to try vanilla) butter rum pecan and bananas foster. Banana is a very hard flavor to get right and they did! $9 for the regular and I think the portion to price was just right and I also got a free cookie which also was excellent . I really enjoyed everything about the place and I'll be back

Shivani was amazing service with a smile. The cookie was the cherry on top. The freshly made waffle cones are awesome and the ice cream was super good. I'm from Texas and the pecans were superb. Can't wait to come back.

Service was pretty quick, which I appreciated. They also offer gluten-free cookies and other baked goods, which is a nice bonus. That said, the gluten-free cookie on its own was pretty bland--but I could see it being much better paired with ice cream. One thing to note: they don't really offer a kids size, and when I asked for smaller portions, they said it would still be charged as a regular--so parents of little ones, just a heads up! The ambiance wasn't super inviting--more of a "grab your treat and go" vibe--but with its prime location near the beach, it's easy to see why it stays busy. Overall, still worth checking out!

We ordered two flavors, which was four scoops, hoping we could split the ice cream into two cups so we would each have two scoops. We asked our server if they could split the ice cream for us--just put two Ube Matcha scoops in one cup, two Cookies and Cream scoops in another. This is against company policy, but they were willing to give us a second cup so we can surgically operate on the mixed ice cream and split it ourselves (??). The Matcha Ube was more green tea flavored than matcha or ube. The Cookies and Cream was good. The ice cream--even if three scoops for one flavor--is just not worth the street parking or flavor mashing. There are other better ice cream places. Service: 3/5 Nothing to say or add. No bad news is good news. Atmosphere: 2/5 Holy overstimulation. There were two other families in the ice cream parlor with us, and we were all being serviced at once at the cashier. It's too small of a room to do that. I would recommend this place to kids 12 and under who live down the street and need a quick sweet treat. Final rating: 2/5

THE BAKED BEAR ENCINITAS…read more Parking is mostly street parking, and you may be able to find a few spots nearby. Since it is located on the main strip of Encinitas, it can get pretty busy depending on the day and time. I came on a Sunday afternoon with one of my friends because we were craving a little sweet treat. There are so many dessert spots along the main street in Encinitas, but I had only been to The Baked Bear in Pacific Beach before, so I wanted to try this location. When you walk in, you can order a scoop of ice cream, cookies, brownies, or create your own custom ice cream sandwich by mixing and matching your choice of cookies, brownies, and ice cream flavors. I decided to go all out and made an ice cream sandwich with a brownie on one side and a Cookies and Cream cookie on the other, filled with Cookies and Cream ice cream. It was so delicious. The cookies were warm, soft, and paired perfectly with the cold ice cream. I would definitely recommend this combination. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It is a little on the pricey side since my custom ice cream sandwich came out to about $10. Personally, it is one of those desserts that you could probably recreate at home with store bought ingredients, but it is still a fun experience that everyone should try at least once. If I had one suggestion, I wish they made their ice cream in house or offered more unique flavors. Most of the flavors were pretty classic, so I would have loved to see some more creative options. The shop itself is nice, but there is not much indoor seating. There are a few standing tables outside along with some chairs right in front of the shop, which is where my friend and I ended up sitting. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back whenever I am in the mood for a sweet treat.
