ONLY GIVING 1 STAR because I can't give 0. This was the worst movie experience of my life. I wouldn't recommend this movie theater to my worst enemy. I was in so much shock that I forgot to take a picture of everything. Hopefully this review will paint a vivid picture for your imagination. 1) there was no one there to check your tickets. I literally saw people look at the seats on the app, determined they were still available & went & sat down. We asked around the one worker said & I quote "if you got it online, you are fine". Huh!!!!?? 2) everything was self serve. So we ordered a regular popcorn & the cashier threw it on the counter next to me. I looked at her & she said "go to the side & get your popcorn.. its self served here".. I was in disbelief. We walked over to the popcorn machine & it was just mounds of popcorn spilling out all over the floor & heaping into piles. People were using their hands to pick up popcorn & put it in their bags. YUCK! 3) the theater room itself wasn't horrible. I had a problem with my recliner chair, but everyone else in my party was fine. 4) the women's restroom had no toilet paper & there was tissue all over the floor.. it was wet & super dirty! I literally just walked out. 5) all the trash cans were overflowing & it was disgusting to look at! Idk how the place is still running as I saw no workers there besides 3 cashiers. read more

So this is the first time I have been to a cinema since before Covid so please excuse me. I have to say that Premiere Cinemas in Plant City is pretty freak'in cool! I don't really go to Plant City that often and it's not that far from where I live, so it's in a convenient location. You walk in and all the concessions are there, to the right is a schedule of all the movies playing so you can figure out what movies and times that are available for that day's showings. They have a self-serve popcorn, butter and soft drink dispenser (Coke products) so you don't have to go back and the main concession desk and get someone to refill your popcorn or drink. That makes life so much easier should you need a refill. The popcorn was really good too! This is the first time EVER, that I have been inside a movie theatre and my feet didn't stick to the floor. That is incredible!!! I will start coming here for any movies in the future. The seat are wide and I am a narrow person so I had lots of room to move around plus you get reserved seating. The seats electronically recline with a push of a button so you can get comfortable while watching your movie. The seats also have a drink holder and swivel table to hold your snacks or what have you so when you need to get up to leave you can move your table out of your way. I have to say it's pretty awesome setup. The sound was great while the movie played as well as the picture. They also have a bar too, so if you want to part take in an adult beverage, you can. The bathrooms, main areas and the screening room were all clean and didn't have any bad smells to them. That is a huge plus to me. The employees that I had interactions with were polite and friendly. One of the best things during this visit though was meeting and my conversation with Marcus Beaufils the Premiere Cinemas Director. He had a great energy to him and very generous. I was going to refill my popcorn and he said he would go get it for me. He brought me two bags of popcorn and I told him one was more than enough and to please give the other bag to another patron. I spoke with him as well before I left the theatre. It was a great pleasure meeting you sir and look forward to making another visit to your theatre in the future. Came with the family to watch five nights at Freddy's 2, we got through 90% of the movie when the screen goes black with the sound still playing. Then all of sudden commercials start playing. I go and notify the workers and they said they'll fix it. The problem was not fixed, they began issuing refunds but didn't even notify the other customers in the theater waiting for the movie to come back on. This is the 2nd time this has happened except when watching Predator Badlands we missed the first 5 mins because as the movie was playing the sound was off. This is the last time coming to this theater, as this company doesn't know how to properly accommodate such an inconvenience. read more

My first time at Plant City's only movie theater. It's small and homey, unlike most mega theaters with 20-30+ screens. Walking in, you're in the main lobby with the concessions right there. Not much interaction with the folks there as they will give you a cup and a bag/bucket for your popcorn. As you walk toward the theater area, you'll pass by the drink fountain and popcorn station. Looking back, I had wished I had taken a photo of it. Part of thinks it's a great idea for self-service popcorn and drinks because of the refills. I'm not sure if you're allowed. No one was there to stop me, so I refilled prior to going into the theater. The other part is that the self-service area was messy as people didn't care about making a mess. There's a bar area, but no one was manning it. I could see they had a nice selection of beer. Not sure what other beverages they serve. As I made my way to the theater, no one stopped me to verify that I had a ticket. I think it would be bad for business if people went in without paying. The theater area was a nice sized room. The chairs were the reclining kind that was extra wide. The chairs had a swivel table and cup holders. The staff was friendly and seemed concerned about the mess in the theaters but not so much with the lobby area. The last thing I noticed was the lack of table seating in the lobby. If you were waiting for your movie, the only place to sit was at the bar. read more

I decided to give this theater a try and took my son and his friend to see a movie. The staff was nice. I was really surprised at the concessions and how it all worked with the machine where you dispense your popcorn. I thought that was kind of cool as well as being able to dispense my own nacho cheese, the seating was comfortable no complaints there...but the sound in the theater could use an upgrade. You can tell it's a bit dated, but other than that I might give this place another try in the future. read more

Thanks to Premiere Cinema in Plant City for hosting the Christmas in July movie nights to benefit the No More Umbrella Foundation. It was fun to bring a Christmas toy for a child, as well. We had a great time, great snacks, and delicious wings watching two clean and charming Christmas movies. Marcus and his team do a great job of welcoming and caring for customers - all the time. We have been coming here for 2 years. We went last night to see How to Train your Dragon at 7pm. As always, the kitchen had just closed. We have yet to be able to purchase a pizza, when they are called themselves the pizza hub. They never have food ready. It took 20 mintues to get 2 hotbodgs. The placed is dirty and the seats do not always work. The only good thing we like about this theater is the all you can drink for soda and all you can eat popcorn. I wish they would clean better and have food ready, especially in the evening. They have also stopped accepting cash. I believe we may start going back to the the theater in north Lakeland. They never seem to have enough staff on duty. read more

If I could give this theater zero stars, I would! My friends and I paid good money to watch a movie, only to be thrown out by the rudest employee imaginable. This woman had no reason to kick us out but did so with the most obnoxious attitude, practically laughing in our faces as she said we wouldn't get a refund. Who does that? She was unprofessional, disrespectful, and clearly has no business dealing with customers. It was only after we demanded to speak to her manager that we finally got our money back, but by then, the whole experience was completely ruined. The Cinema is clean. They have a good selection of drinks, coke products. The rows the seats are in, are wide. Each seat has a tray/table and drink holder. It can swing in close or outwards to enable you to stand up. All the seats recline electronically. The buttons are on the same side as the tray. One to rise the legs the other to lower. The bathroom was well kept and did not smell bad. It has reserved seating. We sat in row D 6&7. Very nice sound and view. The floors were not sticky and everything was sanitized before we were able to enter. Just to mention they do have a bar, I for one am not a drinker, but it is there. I would definitely go back again the employees were friendly, polite, and helpful. read more

This cinema had a makeover. One that benefited the community. For a long time people of Plant City had to look for other Cinemas to enjoy a good movie. Now they have a decent Cinema to look up to at an affordable price. I came in to visit on Sunday evening to watch the much anticipated Star War movie with my friends. When I came in I saw a good atmosphere and attentive staff. Thier food choices were basic and simple. But what I like about this is that once you buy your movie combo, you can come back to refill again. Nice! The movie auditorium was great. Comfortable seats to recline to and a nice table seat to eat at. So not bad for an old cinema that got a makeover. I would definitely come back for another movie. read more

I took my daughter to see her very first movie today! It was my first time to this theatre and it was fine. We walked inside to see the main counter that had drinks and snacks. I wasn't sure where to get my tickets but the lady behind the counter told me I could buy them there at the snack counter. The movie we saw wasn't crowded so we had a good pick of seats. The seats are comfortable and recline a little bit. Bathrooms were clean. Tickets were $6 something for me and my daughter. No complaints. Nothing special. read more

From the outside this theater looks like it might be old and run down, but the seats are comfortable and the movies play fine. I have only been twice so far. This last time we went was because they are offering free movies for kids throughout the summer. The staff was friendly when we got our tickets and we also purchased a combo box which was perfect for me and my daughter to share. This is the first time we have been back since covid, a couple of years ago. I was peasantly surprised to see that the theater had been renovated. The place looked clean and the counter staff was nice. We came out for the Elvis movie. We came on a Monday for the senior discount seats. We had a drink, popcorn and small pack of gummy deal. I can't remember how much but it was a good deal since you can go back for unlimited drinks and popcorn. When we came in we saw how much room you had now with the new seats. The electric seats can go back and you now have a comfortable foot rest. You also have a nice place for your soda and a tray to put your popcorn (or food if you bought any). Before you had to juggle holding everything or putting your soda on the floor. Having a place for everything made for a very pleasant experience. They also gave you lots of leg room even when the foot rest was up. People in the middle of the aisle had no problem getting past us without us having to move. We will definitely be back. We don't go to the movies very often. That said, we took my autistic grandson to a Saturday matinee. Plus and Boots. Since he's 18 we had two seniors and one adult. We got a #1 combo for him and a #4 for my wife and I to split. $59 and change. Not a problem. We then are told to serve ourselves. Okay, still not a problem. Then my wife ask for a small cup or bag to put some of our popcorn in it. That's when the cashier informs us that she can't do that. She can't give out a cup after we spent about 60 bucks to see a cartoon. Now I have a problem. I don't blame the cashier. Not her fault. But $60 and your company can't part with a cup or bag? 3 of us bought reserved seating for Top Gun Maverick. We heard the place was newly renovated and decided to try it out. Our showtime was 3:15 on a Thursday and we arrived around 2:45. There was no one in sight except for 1 actively working employee. He printed our tickets from my QR code and we proceeded to buy snacks. For 2 of us together we got 1 large soda, an icee and 2 boxes of candy for over $20, this didn't include our matinee tickets we had previously paid for. Drinks were free refills. Our friend got herself a bottle of water and popcorn, which was self serve. She was given a bag and sent to scoop her own popcorn. Our theater was empty right until showtime when others came in. There were maybe a dozen or so of us. The seats are comfortable but not positioned tall enough for short people to see over the chair in front of them. The chairs have an electric reclining function so we reclined the empty chair in front to see better. The seats also have deep cup holders and an attached tray. The screen and movie quality were very good. Bathrooms were clean and stocked well. I would definitely go back but maybe not buy the snacks. read more

The newest renovations are great and really add to the customer experience. I spent $6 per ticket to go see the latest Star Wars, and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. The seats recline (very comfy!) and come with tables and a drink holder to put your food. I really like this place only because I expected it to be super crowded with little kids running all around but it wasn't like that. It near a lot of place so you can easily do a quick dinner date and movie. We checked out Wasabi. We went to see Avengers Age of Ultron and and everyone has space and at least a seat in between. so for an opning night it was crowded just right and it was on 8$ way better than 10$. So we will be back for an afternoon movie soon . read more

I was very upset that I got 2 $10 giftcards for mothers day and was awaiting the 3D Jurassic World opening. Well low and behold they did not accept their own giftcards because of a supposed upgrade so instead of Not selling them your just our of luck. Now since it is the fall schedule and Jurassic World offs no longer in 3D their systems are upgraded. Just sounds funny and very uncalled for. All they had to do is not sell them. All their employees could do is shrug their shoulders when asked when the was done. I called last night and they said yeah I am pretty sure the system is upgraded now and now Jurassic World is no longer in 3D. Hmmmmm. Yeah so NO more gift cards and I will probably take my business somewhere else. Very unprofessional. read more

This theater is well maintained, the staff is very personable and friendly. They're the only theater that carries kettle corn seasoning . The only thing I can complain about is no previews, which never deters me, it's just fore play helping build toward my cinematic climax. This is my favorite movie theater in all of the Tampa bay area. read more
