There are two Best Western hotels in Danville, IL, one off the I74 interstate and this one near…read moredowntown Danville. My review is about the Best Western Riverside Inn which is near downtown Danville. I had never been in the property before and I was very pleased with my overnight stay there. The exterior is that of an older hotel, but the interior has been comprehensively updated over the years. Very clean! The hotel features an outdoor pool which is covered by a pool cover and there is more than adequate signage concerning safety issues for those who use it.gues For business travelers: there is a small office center on the first floor that has a PC and an inkjet printer. I do not think that Microsoft Word nor Excel (or any other software packages) are loaded onto the hotel's PC for guests in the office center so a laptop with those software packages would be needed here. I did not see a fax machine and am presuming that they would be sent and received by the employees at the front desk. Concerning receipt of FedEx packages, I would contact the hotel directly to confirm that this can be done. Lastly, concerning meeting rooms, I would contact the hotel directly to confirm whether they can - or cannot - do this. This is a two-story hotel with no elevator. If one needs to avoid stairs ask for a room on the first floor. Accessible rooms are also available for booking on the Best Western's webpage. Parking is outside close to the hotel property. Very good hot breakfast typical of what was served pre-COVID including healthy choices like fruit. Advice to those approaching the hotel from Danville's downtown: as soon as you approach the bridge the Best Western Riverside Inn comes up very quickly and it's on your right just outside of a wooded area. Very very helpful staff. The Best Western Riverside Inn near downtown Danville is definitely recommended.

Another Yelper wrote in their review, "good, but not there yet." This exactly describes how I feel…read morea bit. A little behind in posting this review, I have actually been to the TH Casino Resort a few times since its opening. I grew up in Terre Haute and my parents still live there, so I have reason to be in Terre Haute a few times a year. Full disclosure, my husband and I come from a global casino gaming background, so I understand too much on how things work inside a casino. But with that and being from Indiana, I also understand the market and expectation of what the TH Casino Resort is as an entertainment offering in the region. There are many things that I can appreciate here at this property and work for the demographic it serves. 1) Holy cow there is countless amounts of handicap parking available, in addition to a covered portico at both entrances to shield guests from rain, snow or sun. 2) There are two locations on the casino floor for self serve free coffee and soda, if that is your thing. 3) Disignated smoking room for slots that is connected oddly to the outside, but nice to have that confined for non-smokers like myself. 4) Lots of Color & Wonder in addition to Aristocrat slots on the floor, including old school reel machines in the back. 5) The Altitude Bar & Lounge seems like a home run. What a great space. Large, indoor/outdoor, romantic for two or your giant group of girlfriends, great view of simply the green region around and an effort to make the experience of this space elevated. Things working against this property in my opinion: 1) I think they missed the mark on not having a designated coffee shop. Simple food like a Denny's, wait staff, coffee, sit down, relatively inexpensive. This market eats at spots like this and I found it strange that this was not an offering available. The Soda Shoppe is a grab and go line, sit and eat spot. But early on, when I was there despite what the menu said, there was no tuna sub, no pizza and at that point there had never been soup. Maybe things have changed, but this is the only low key spot in the entire casino resort and this seems like disappointing and a missed opportunity. 2) Midweek during AM or afternoon, when things are real slow....like maybe two to three gaming tables having play, there is no $5 BlackJack option. This seems like a complete oversight. Like an easy softball for them to knock out of the park for people like me and my dad, that simply want to play a few hands. When clearly it is a ghost town on the tables, not sure the thinking here. When there is action and demand, totally get the higher table limit. But when I can hear crickets, not sure why there is never a $5 table open....at all. 3). The concept of "The Center Bar", which was first invented by the Hard Rock in Las Vegas over 20 years ago and is a much replicated at casino joints across the planet since, is missing something. I think it is the general lighting from the casino floor and its colors. "The Center Bar" should feel cozier, warmer, yet for the masses. I have not seen a hotel room, nor have I eaten at the Four Cornered Steakhouse. But in my handful of times coming here with my folks. these are my thoughts. Again, "good but not there yet." Hopefully as times goes on, tweaks will continue to be made to ensure the vibrancy of this entertainment spot that is a great financial fuel to this area. I will come visit again with my folks despite my 3 star rating.
