Reservation are recommended for the best seating and dessert options. I came here with a group of friends and had one of the best times in Salem. The desserts were delicious and the tease were outstanding. The customer service was great and it was a picture perfect location. I would highly recommend it.

This is a lovely tea shop centrally located on Derby St. Myself, my daughter, and my Bestie came in today for high tea. It was delightful! Our server came out and gave us all a complimentary glass of iced tea while we looked over their impressive selection of teas. We each ordered a different flavor and got our own little pots full of delicious tea. The price fixe menu of sandwiches, scones, and sweets was perfect. Everything was prepared with care and tasted as yummy as they looked pretty. The atmosphere of the dining room was so cheerful and relaxing as well. We were allowed to take our time and slowly savor the tea and food at our own pace. It was a great experience that I hope to repeat some day soon.

Super cute tea shop in Salem! If you are planning for Afternoon Tea or their Prix Fix lunch, definitely make reservations! The place is small, but has a good amount of tables. I like that Jolie Tea Company has other options like ala carte and tea with macaroon samplers if you don't want to do the whole high tea experience but still get the experience. However, I wish there were options for reservations for these options. I came here a few weekends ago and was able to get a table for 3 after a short wait. We opted for the ala carte option since we just wanted a light snack and by the time the table was clear, we had a chance to look over the menu and decide on what we wanted. There is a large menu of teas for dining in and you can also buy loose leaf teas to go. My friends and I shared 2 pots of tea and got some macaroons, chocolate ginger scone and lemon scone. We asked for the chocolate ginger scone to be heated and it was really good warmed up with slightly melted chocolate and bites of candied ginger. The macaroons were pretty good too! All of the macaroons' flavors were strong and distinct which I liked.

The location is very pretty and photogenic. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The service was prompt. The sandwiches and macarons were delicious. The Madelines and scones were a tad dry. I tried to butter them up but they started to crumble so I left it alone. Lastly, I don't understand Why we were given coffee mugs instead of tea cups.

    "hocus pocus" tea flight

After hearing such great reviews of this place, I am going to give the benefit of doubt and hope they were having an off day. We made a reservation online for their one hour tea flight. Upon arrival it was pretty empty, just a few other people in the restaurant having their tea. When our tea was ready they were labeled with the in house names of the tea but the server did not describe the teas or the accompanying macaroons. When I called her back over to explain all she repeated were the names of the blends. This was unfortunate because when booking the flight online there were no details of what flavors you would get - just the theme of the flight (i.e. Hocus Pocus, Through the Looking Glass). I had to go on their website and sort through the many teas they have listed to find what the flavor profiles of our teas were. Unfortunately we were given 3 black teas with a spice, orange, and vanilla flavor profile. We were hoping for a bit more variety when ordering a flight. My friend spilled a cup of tea on herself and the table and the server was looking at our direction and did not help or bring over extra napkins or a rag for us to clean up the mess with. As we were leaving the table next to us had a different server who was explaining their teas in great detail.

Very nice place in Salem to enjoy high tea. The menu is pretty affordable and it's perfect for small stomachs. Their menu is simple but good. They also have tons of options (vegan, gluten free, etc) and will easily adapt to the different diets of your party. The service was good and they were friendly. The high tea starts with a iced tea served in a fancy champagne cup. It was floral and not too sweet. The tea menu offers a large choice of teas and infusions, difficult to not find happiness ! The high tea is composed of finger sandwiches, macarons, a scone and a pastry. It is not the biggest high tea I have ever done but it was perfect for our stomach I recommend it, it's a great stop in Salem

We had the chance to come to the Beverly location. The place is definitely a vibe. Every cutesy on the outside. I the tea selection was good, I had the darjeeling in a large pot. The mug was different from my usual tea cup. The food. The cucumber sandwich was dry and had radish and microgreens (which I felt was unnecessary) The other sandwiches felt a bit stale The scone was covered in an odd lemon icing. The madeline was very sweet with the 1cm thick chocolate coating. You must order clotted cream separately, felt a bit light. We took the macarons home, but tastes good even days later. Servers were pretty hands off once we started our tray.

The perfect pick me up! Jolie's Tea Company is fantastic! It's beautiful inside with an incredible list of teas to choose from and helpful staff. I went with my typical hot Chai with a lemon scone. The chai was a bit spicer than I typically enjoy, but nonetheless, tasty!

The decor of this space is very aesthetically appealing. There are pops of color and paintings everywhere. I definitely appreciate art, so enjoyed looking at the different paintings. My friends and I reserved the salon room for high tea which was a private space off to the corner. It was nicely decorated and perfect for a group of six. The experience of afternoon tea was nice, although a bit confusing. I feel our server could have explained to us how the menu works or given us some tea recommendations as there were so many options for tea and she could have suggested which ones to try. She only came in twice to ask our orders for tea and then again to deliver the pastries and snacks that come with the tea. I think she could have checked in just to see how we were doing, so that'd be my one feedback for service. I thought the presentation of the sandwiches and pastries on the platter was very nice, and everything tasted good. I especially liked the cucumber sandwich which was made with chives and radish as well as the smoked salmon sandwich. The lemon and raspberry scone was also very tasty. I'd recommend making a reservation because they seem to be very busy on the weekend or just booking the private room to have a little space from others.

Tucked away in Salem, MA is one of the great teahouses of New England. While it may not be as over-the-top as some others in Boston proper, Jolie is not to be missed OR dismissed an an inferior tea service (British proper, that is). The tea selection is on par if not more extensive than the more expensive and often lauded teahouses of Boston. Instead, this setting feels more intimate and approachable than the other services we've done around Boston. There are plenty of opinions as well as advice should you become overwhelmed in the choices that are presented for you during the initial selections of the service. While the overall format is familiar (pretty standard through the British-style service), the offerings are commensurate with the higher priced services in the area. You have the 3-tier tower of small bites (finger sandwiches, a sweet+savory pastry, and a dessert tier) and the tea service that allows you to attempt to pair the best tea with what you will be eating. Despite the humble origins and space that Jolie will host you in, it is definitely worth the trip as well as the "investment" you will make in this culinary journey and experience (especially if this is your first tea service!). It may be in my top 2 or 3 services that we've had in New England since we relocated in 2018. So, what is the TL;DR of this review? It's a bit outside the proper Boston area of tea services but that doesn't mean it is inferior in ANY way. It is more affordable, approachable, and on the same level of the more "well-known" tea services. It can be considered a "gateway experience" into the world of tea service because it's not as over-the-top or as "enforced" as the others we've been to; this is a come-as-you-are experience and they will walk you through the history of the service, how they preserve the history of the tea service, and obviously what to expect over the next 1.5-3 hours (depending on how you choose to approach it). Overall conclusion: 5/5 - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Enter with an open mind if it's your first time and allow the professionals there to walk you through the experience. If you have experience, walk the walk, talk the talk, and enjoy a budget-friendly tea service in New England.

Met a friend here for lunch on our recent trip to Salem, and I had been meaning to give it a try for years. So glad we finally did! Absolutely adorable set up, staff was really friendly and helpful when choosing what to order. Really cute decorations, although seating is a bit tight, just a heads up. They had a really great selection of teas with plenty to choose from. We were also glad to see they had sandwiches other than the tiny ones you get with tea service. They also had vegan and gluten free options if that's your jam. Really great all around; I would definitely visit again!

What a FABULOUS tearoom! So many tea choices, teas to go, teas to sit, High tea, macarons, tea samplings and a nice gift shop area. Lovely couches to relax or grab a table.

11/2021 We were in Salem so we had to check out this super cute tea shop. They sell tons of varieties of macaroons. You are able to reserve a spot to have tea and enjoy a few hours out. I'll be back.
