    Tea and prix fixe menu
    Meg C.

Had the prix fixe lunch with a friend and we generally enjoyed it. You come here for the ambiance - the space is open with huge windows that let in a lot of natural light and it's designed with pretty, whimiscal florals. We went on a very cold day, so it was a bit drafty. While the space is nice, the layout is confusing, and lacking wayfinding. There are several sets of doors, but only one actually opens from the outside, which is the one with the black hanging sign. Would be helpful to put signs on the locked doors that say "please use other door" with an arrow, as I tried opening the locked doors and saw several others make the same mistake when I was inside. Once you enter, there is a cafe counter area for drop in orders. I did not see signs pointing to the check in counter in the other room for reservations, and waited in the cafe line first, and ordered a hot chocolate since I waited in line, which was sadly warm, not hot, but tasted good. Things went smoother when we got seated. Large selection of teas and a lunch menu with a lot of vegetarian options. I had the ham and cheese quiche with a salad which was pretty good, and my friend had the green goddess sandwich which was loaded with greens. For dessert I had the blueberry lemon cake, and while it looked pretty, it was cold and hard, as though they just pulled it from the refrigerator, I did not finish it. The focus seems to be more on presentation over taste. I generally enjoyed my experience and am glad I tried it, but don't think I need to return.

Went here with a group of girls for teas and yapping. We went because the book we read for bookclub was based on such setting so we wanted to celebrate because when is girl time ever a bad idea? We all got dressed up in theme. We had made a reservation weeks before and they do charge you the full amount a few days prior. Each person gets their own individual tea pot. You get to choose from a wide variety of flavors. For the food, you get a choice of cucumber tea sandwich, salmon gougere, smoked duck gougere, mini ham and brie, lemon scone, vanilla madeleine, french macarons, and a delicious pastry swan. Everything was delicious. We were 12 received 3 setups like this. There were some dietary restrictions that were honored. Overall it was very quiet in there, felt like we had the space to ourselves so it was very nice. I was extra happy about the availability of free street parking (it was a Sunday).

My friends and I went to Jolie Tea Company for a bachelorette party and had an absolute blast! The tea was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Wearing the fascinators and gloves was so much fun--other guests even commented on how iconic and cute we all looked. Highly recommend for a clean, classy, and truly memorable time! Thank you, Jolie!

I was visiting beautiful downtown Beverly and searching for a spot with great coffee and (fingers…read morecrossed) some gluten-free pastries. I found Crave through the Find Me Gluten-Free app, and the high ratings definitely lived up to the hype! It was just a quick, easy drive, and the bakery was easy to spot. Inside, it's super cute, clean, and welcoming. The menu was surprisingly full of gluten-free options--from breakfast sandwiches to coffee drinks--and their pastry case had about 8-10 different gluten-free and/or dairy-free goodies. I went with the blueberry lemon scone and WOW. It was unreal. Moist and cake-like (not dry and crumbly like many GF scones), with a light glaze and a perfect lemony-sweet flavor. I literally almost cried--it was that good. I savored every bite and was honestly glad I don't live closer, or I'd be there every single day. I also grabbed a cold brew, which they brew in-house and serve on tap. It was strong, smooth, and delicious--just how I like it. Whether you're gluten-free by choice or necessity, Crave is a must-visit. Friendly staff, delicious options, and a cozy vibe--what more could you want? Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't be disappointed!

We did not have a good experience…read more First, the online ordering system leaves a lot to be desired. We were in the middle of placing an order and they shut down their online system for 15 minutes. So we waited. Two egg sandwiches, one croissant, a coffee with an espresso shot, a hot latte and a chai tea latte. Nothing unusual. Their system said the order would be ready two minutes after it was placed. That's just silly, so we waited 10 minutes before heading over. We arrived and picked up our bag with all the items listed on the receipt and headed back. Turns out, two items were missing that we had already paid for. We now headed back once again to Crave. We thought that maybe we forgot a bag, but no, they just failed to add two items and let us leave. "We tried to call you but your line was busy," was the answer, but that's simply not true. I wasn't on the phone and I have a cell phone -- busy signals do not apply. There was no record of an incoming call either. The attitude of staff was not apologetic whatsoever. A simple, "We're so sorry" would have sufficed. One of the items we had ordered was now out of stock. In fact, one staff member said, "You're the third customer today who didn't get their cinammon croissant," which only revealed the failure of their ordering process. With limited options, we chose the Nutella croissant as a substitute. Returned home and finally ate. One sandwich was delicious (bacon-egg-cheese on a ciabatta roll) but the other had sriracha instead of ketchup as requested -- made a big difference in taste which we did not like. The replacement pastry we were forced to choose tasted very stale and not so much of Nutella. Coffee with a shot and the latte didn't taste particularly strong. Iced chai latte was fine, but nothing to write home about. Not worth $54 -- including a tip for staff that we wished we could rescind. Would NOT return, especially not with all the breakfast options in Beverly. Hard pass.

If I'm being completely honest we expected the food to be ok but not the best as that's typically how places like this are. We were so wrong!! We started with the mozzarella sticks and they were out of this world. Next up was Caesar salads; not the best but still good- they needed more dressing and it needed to be a creamier dressing but the lettuce blend was fresh and they put a ton of cheese and croutons. Unfortunately we had to take our dinners to go as we were running short on time. We should have planned to have been there longer; this was the only issue we had. Unfortunately they only had two servers and they were slammed. The food was great but the service just too long. If we didn't have somewhere to be we wouldn't have been phased by it; we wouldn't have even noticed how long everything took because we were so immersed in the environment. When we got home we had our dinners and again we were expecting them to just be ok because we were heating them up. Again we were wrong! I had the short rib sandwich and it was AMAZING, loaded with onions and mushrooms it was crazy good. My husband had the steak tips and again phenomenal. We will definitely be back when we have nothing to do afterwards. *I'd like to add the staff was great just very busy!

The food was pretty darn good too. The not so good: the people employed here are very nice, but the service is beyond slow. We were with a six-year-old so we ordered a pizza for him shortly after sitting down. It came about an hour and a half after we walked in. It took at least 3/4 of an hour to actually be able to put in the rest of the order and probably well over a half an hour to get it, which we did at least 20 minutes before the youngster got his pizza... there was also hardly any people in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend it but make sure that you're not in a rush and you're not starving because it will take a while. It is fun though and delicious.

I did notice they also had a refrigerated section with prepared foods like pastitsio and moussaka. It's a small shop, but very clean and has very interesting food at every corner. Everything was very fairly priced. The baklava is la carte. I got a small assortment of about 7 small-medium sized pieces of baklava and my total came to under $20. The girl behind the counter assured me that the majority of what I bought stays fresh for weeks or even months and she gave me storage tips for the custard I purchased. I will def be back!
