Such a cute nook to work remotely

First time there, such a cute place - made a mental note to go back and work remotely. Two cute seats right up front so you can work and watch people at the same time. Dogs welcome and they post photos on the board! I got a Grinchmas latte - was so very good. Definitely going back sometime soon!

Found myself in my childhood 'hood--Wakefield MA. Had an hour to kill, looking for a coffee shop. The town square landscape has changed so much over the years, I didn't recognize many of the businesses, but I came across Rise & Shine. I popped into the tiny but adorable storefront (seating for approx 10 people total). The staff is super friendly. I ordered an iced cold brew with oat milk and a tasty almond croissant and sat in the bay window that overlooks Main Street. The shop is dog-friendly, so the other 2 patrons brought their chill German shepherd who received a treat to enjoy. Give them a visit!

A very cute spot to stop and get a coffee. They have a few tables with plenty of sunshine to sit and eat or get some work done. Free WiFi as well! The Bee's Knees flavor was delicious in my latte. The only drawback is parking can be tough depending on time of day since parking is limited in Wakefield center.

Lovely neighborhood gem! They have undergone several ownership Changes and I hope this one sticks. I've tried their coffee and enjoyed adding lavender and although I got it to go they still did a fun design Ambiance - although small and cozy the vibe seemed cool and they had free wifi Service- everyone was polite and helpful and provided service with a smile. They seem happy to be at work. All in all I would recommend visiting if you are every in Wakefield

Since I missed the last coffee shop at 400 Main St and didn't hear about how awesome it was until it was too late and closing down, I paid a visit to Rise & Shine Coffee House (former Creations location) to check out their coffee. Today is their grand opening. Cold brew was good and lots of non dairy milk options are available.

I mention every visit that they should put a name tag in front of each muffin to speed up the ordering... I must waste my time and more importantly their time answering my inquires... what is that one , what is that muffin ? Does that have raisins on it ? Nuts? Dog shit in it? or whatever ? Wtf Or why are out of certain muffins ? Any In the back on racks? Put a sign up displaying a simple check mark of available muffins? One visit the nasty one at Winchester told me they were out yet I saw the muffin on a rack not yet ready to put out front? So this was my first visit to this Wakefield location ... same issues and staff nasty here too but a bit better as more mature employee? I ordered 6 muffins and wanted 2 in a separate box as a gift to someone and the other 4 in a different box...she puts the two in a bag... A bag ruins the gift look, damages frosting in muffins... they will not put any less than muffins in a box? I'll pay for the dam extra box? Or maybe a smart owner would have a small 2 muffin box? Asked for Boston cream ... out of them .. same as last visit to Winchester location where they were out of many options... Maybe if popular statistically ... then you bake more of them based on POS sales data ? Maybe seasonality affects the daily production forecasts? Maybe offer July 4th red white blue muffins, Halloween frosting, Thanksgiving? Christmas ? Then generate greater sales, The owner should hire a better manager of both locations and stick a dam name tag in display case for each muffin, train all employees in hospitality and importance to retain repeat customers? Owner probably now just mailing it in or letting the off spring to take or already took over ? Maybe sell just sell it off to a interested owner looking to expand, or Improve offerings , add high end croissants, pastries, quality cookies ... coffee and better options? Whatever... 4 years telling every visit to just put a f'n name tag in front of each muffin-so I don't need to ask.. especially for gluten free, nut free allergies conscience people... how about an ingredients sign for each muffin ? I give up

Good muffins whose calling card for most is a layer of cream filling sandwiched in. -- Blueberry Muffin: Great crispness on the majestic overhang expansive enough to provide shelter from the rain. Nice subtle flavor that doesn't try to trick you with sugar, but it's lacking fat to make it sufficiently moist. Fruit seems frozen. No spheres with burst of juiciness. -- Gingerbread Muffin: More of a pumpkin spice flavor than full gingerbread. Similar characteristics in being a little dry, not being too sweet and having good crunch. The cream layer is a buttercream similar to white cake frosting, with maybe a hint of cream cheese. Good muffins worthy of the rotation, but I'd hesitate to say great. Beautiful to look at, though. Kudos to the team for moving the line efficiently.

I ordered the Coconutella latte and it was perfectly balanced, flavorful without being overly sweet. The Nutella cold foam was definitely indulgent, but the latte itself was smooth and delicious. We went on a Saturday morning and only waited about 15 minutes for coffee and food, which honestly felt very reasonable considering how popular this place is. I also got the cinnamon roll, which was HUGE and really good. I do wish it had been served warm, but after reheating the leftovers at home I loved it even more. The standout pastry was a donut-style pastry filled with pistachio cream. We also ordered the Il Classico, which was super flavorful, a great portion size, and definitely had a spicy kick. On top of the food and drinks, the service was amazing, the decor was adorable, and parking was surprisingly easy. After finally going, I completely understand why this place gets so much attention. Definitely worth the hype.

While I was waiting for my coffee, the guy from across the street came in yelling for me to move my car that was parked on the street (legally) in front of his house/business. My car had my wife and 4 month old in it and he accosted her before coming to find me. To top things off, Cibo screwed up the order completely. What a disaster, I couldn't even believe people were still ordering after walking in and seeing 20 people waiting for their order. It seems like a decent place but they should shut their order ahead off if they can't handle it. This experience made me never want to step foot in Wakefield again. I surely won't be going back to Cibo. I can't find a reason to provide more than a star here.

First off, it's 8:30a.m. and the place is half full of mom's and their kids. So the locals also approve! One wall is covered in book shelves. A foosball table is in the back corner. A couple of tables take space in the sunny window front. All on brand. Restrooms in the back are clean. The order line forms on the left. They have all the expected sandwiches waiting for you including a Vegan Breakfast sandwich and of course some pastry. They have lots of cold and hot coffee beverages. I was tempted by a blood orange latte, but I stuck to my Americano. I had that with one of their huge croissants. I think the gentleman who helped us was new. It took him a bit of time to make the beverages, but that's OK. We're patient. He was very polite, asked all the right questions and got the order correct and that's what matters. We picked a couple of comfortable seats near the entrance and watched the constant flow of customers come and go. Around 9a.m. it looked like a bus load of high school students were dropped off at the door. Ha! Not an actual bus, but that line was long. This is a great spot for a variety of coffee drinks, pastry, sandwiches and meeting up with friends. The neighborhood clearly agrees.
