At noon today trolley #11 pulled out of the shopping center by the Columbia restaurant on Sand Key. He apparently didn't look because he pulled out in front of 4 cars. Then he pulled partially into the drop off lane and back out again forcing 2 cars into the median. This driver is dangerous! read more

We drove down to Clearwater on 4/13/17 for a dolphin tour with family that was in town. As we were heading to the pier we saw signs saying "Free Trolley to the Beach". They were all over the little downtown area. We decided that might be better than just hoping for a spot at the marina. We followed the signs (there were a lot of signs) and we parked in the area indicated behind the Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure. We walked to the trolley stop we had seen in front of the building and when the trolley stopped I asked if this was the trolley to get to the Dolphin Tours and she said yes. She didn't charge us (unless she charged the last person in our party that got on and I didn't know it) so I thought we were on the right one. At the next stop other people got on asking about the free trolley ride. She said, "You're looking for the free ride to the Beach?" they said yes, and I said that was what we were looking for too. She said she could get us close but not all the way. She proceeded to drive us to a stop near a gas station near the Publix stop. So we were still far from where we needed to be. We had a paid for scheduled dolphin tour we were trying to make it to, this meant we couldn't attempt to go back to our car as we would have missed our tour and there wouldn't have been a refund. The driver told us to walk to the trolley stop up ahead and that one would take us to the beach. We did and waited with the other family that had wanted the free trolley to the beach. We get on the new trolley and she asked for payment. We and the other family said that we wanted the free trolley to the beach and she said that was just a trial they were doing and they weren't doing it anymore. We mentioned the signs and she just kept saying it was a trial and they weren't doing it any more. We were running close on time so we paid and of course we didn't have exact change so my Brother-in-Law paid like $15 I think since there was six of us even though it should have been like $12+. Then we proceed across the bridge and got dropped off on the other side of the street from the marina. When we were done with our tour and late lunch we headed back. We thought we could save money by walking over the bridge ourselves to get to the pickup spot near Publix. Since the first ride we received was free we thought it would be free from that same pickup spot back to our car. This wasn't an easy decision since I have pain when I walk due to Plantar Fasciitis in my feet. But I did it to save money on this "free" trolley experience. When the trolley pulled up the gentleman driver expected payment. Again we did not have exact change as we at least thought this one ride was free since the first one was. So again, completely exhausted by this horrible experience and just wanting it to be over, we paid another $15 since he could not give out change. He actually took us directly into the parking lot that we needed to get back to. This gentleman was the only pleasant driver we had the entire time. The other two were quite rude in how they spoke to customers and I couldn't believe rude people were allowed to drive the "Jolley" trolley. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in the service and the false advertising of a "free" ride to the beach. I mean the drivers didn't even know there was supposed to be a free ride to the beach. Poor communication within the company and extremely poor service for us customers. I submitted a complaint to the company and since they didn't have the decency to respond I will be posting this bad review on all available sites. FYI, on their website where I filed the complaint they were advertising the same free trolley ride. read more

The routes are good and the drivers are friendly and helpful. I didn't like having to wait over 1/2 hour at the Publix for my transfer between buses to get back to Dunedin. The AC on the bus wasn't working well that day so it got a little warm in the bus on the way back from the beach to my hotel. read more

Crazy bad service. Few days ago we visited and followed a sign for free shuttle to beach. Three shuttles came by and said soon one would be there. Finally one took us to beach. Then we waited for a return shuttle. At least four pulled up and said the free one was right behind. Then a shuttle came and said we needed to cross the street for the right one. Again. All drivers said it was on the way. After an hour and a half I used UBER to get back to parking lot. Glad to get out of that place. I had the feeling that the drivers were playing games with us. read more

Would not recommend trolley. Very confusing on which trolley takes you where. We bought day passes but ended up taking an uber.

The fare is cheap at 4.50 a day unlimited for each person, but they only accept cash and none of the drivers carry change!

Jolley Trolley Transportation of Clearwater 410 N Myrtle Ave Clearwater FL 33755-4433 Complaint Description: They did not provide the service they were contracted to perform .They also ran me around for months and then did not refund the cost of the services. I hired jolly Trolley to handle the transportation for my son's wedding .We had 2 family members in electric wheel chairs so we made sure the trolley had a wheel chair ramp .I was with the bridal party and got a call that the wheel chair function did not work .One of the bridal party found a contactor to transport our guests to the event and back to the hotel .The charge was $200. I gave James the $200 and he paid .I was in the middle of the wedding and I did not get a receipt . I called jolly trolley no less than 10 times and the said they would look into it .After months they refused to reimburse me Because I did not have a receipt .It is not the money ,but the principal .They should have done more than pay the $200 it was a major problem that they caused . Do not take the Jolly Trolly. They don't keep to their schedule and even when one shows up close to its scheduled time, it refuses to take passengers because it is "chartered". My family and I waited 50 minutes for the Trolly even though one is supposed to come every 30 minutes. I would give it zero stars if Yelp allowed. Overall a horrible experience. read more

After having a nice brunch in Dunedin my friend spotted a Jolley Trolley nearby. At that moment we decided to get onboard and enjoy a ride. My friend told the driver that this was the first time she had ridden the trolley and needed to know the cost. The driver proceeded to tell her the fare. She scrambled for her money and realized she didn't have the "exact" amount. In a loud, surly voice, The "Unjolley Trolley" driver said for all of Dunedin to hear, "I'm not a bank!" We knew this vehicle wasn't a "bank on wheels" and felt this rude comment was totally uncalled for by him. We managed to give him the funds and took the last seat on the trolley. A few minutes passed when toxic smelling fumes permeated the air where we sat. We immediately went to the front and sat down. The driver had a fan positioned on his rather large body so his toxic fumes would be blown onto his passengers. He's very unhappy with his career choice. His mother got to ride shotgun upfront so she could be dropped off and picked up at the Publix in Palm Harbor. Mom was dropped off at a stop "not" designated a Jolley stop. "Mr. Personality" stopped to pick up a young passenger wearing a bathing suit top and shorts. He was almost human after getting a gander at her. We will not be taking the #6 "Not So Jolley Trolley" ever again. And anyone thinking it will be fun - trust me, IT WON'T BE!!!! Avoid #6!!!!!!! read more

We live in Dunedin and have been long time fans of the Jolley Trolley, so we were delighted when it started daily service here last October, instead of just on weekends. We took our visiting family on it to Clearwater on a weekday....and no, traffic congestion was not a problem. However, the schedule, or rather lack thereof, was appalling. There was no apparent reason for the repeated and lengthy delays which ruined our afternoon. We waited 22min past the 'scedulled' time at our first stop, just north of Dunedin Causeway. We waited another 17 min past the 'scedulled' time at our second stop on Bayshore near the Dunedin marina, and yet another 19 min for the transfer at Publix (Island Estates) stop. On the return, it was 20min late at the Hilton stop, and then we waited an unbelievable 46min back at Publix at Island Estates. The 20 min waiting for the transfer was bad enough, especially when the first driver assured us the Trolley would be arrive in just a few minutes. But when it finally did come, it was a rest stop for the driver so we sat on the bus for 25 more minutes. However, before we even got out of Island Estates we stopped again for yet 9 min more to wait for 2 groups of people in response to a call from another bus. In summary, it took us FIVE HOURS to have half an hour for an ice cream in Dunedin and less than an hour on Clearwater Beach. Absolutely unacceptable, especially with kids. We will never do it again, and we have warned all our friends who were planning to take their guests on the Trolley this winter. The Jolley Trolley is a terrific idea and service for both residents and tourists alike. But sadly it is going to put itself out of business if it continues to be run this way. Our unacceptably long waits could only have been worse if it had been hot weather. read more

the pinellas county transportation systems should pay people to ride the jolly trolley. From a PR standpoint its an embarrassment. The printed schedule is worthless. Took the trip from Tarpon Springs to Clearwater Beach. First issue was the ticket machine broke and we had to change to another trolley.oh well things happen. we arrive and ask the driver (who should be fired) where do we get the trolley for the return trip and he just kept waving his arm and saying...somewhere over there. then we asked what time do they depart and he said they leave every hour. we asked when on the hour. he said he didnt know. so we found the place of departure (signage is awful). The driver of the other trolleys said the one to tarpon was running late. finally it shows up and for the first 2 stops the driver gets off and has leisurely conversations with who ever was hanging around delaying us more. . we got the place of departure at 2:30 and it showed up at 3:17. We arrived back at tarpon springs at 5:13. 2 hours and the air conditioning didnt work in the back half of the trolley. the baseball game let out in dunedin and we sat in a 5 block stopped traffic jam and baked in the heat. i cant tell anyone how awful this was. read more

I typically do not like writing negative reviews, however want to prevent someone else from having a negative experience. We contracted with Jolley Trolley in July for our November wedding. The day of our wedding, the trolley did not arrive at the contracted time to transport my bridesmaids, parents, and I from the hotel to the church. 30 minutes later, we were told the trolley was en route. An hour later, the trolley still had not arrived! As a result, I arrived late to my own wedding and my wedding planner had to arrange alternative transportation for the rest of the day. My planner was able to obtain a refund and arrange for the company to cover additional expenses incurred due to the delay, however we still have not received an apology or explanation for being left stranded on my wedding day. I was looking forward to working with Jolley Trolley for a memorable wedding experience, however due to their negligence and lack of communication, my experience with this company only resulted in stress and disappointment.
