We don't have Jollibee in my home state, so we get absurd amounts of food to take home whenever we're in town. Our favs are the Chickenjoy, Spaghetti and the Peach Mango Pie. We bought the $53 bundle which included 10 pieces of Chickenjoy, 5 Peach Mango Pies plus 5 sides. My only regret was that we should have gotten 5 sides of Jolly Spaghetti instead of some rice and mashed potatoes. Service was just okay. Ambiance was nice - the restaurant was clean and inviting. Actually, we never received our mashed potatoes as one of the sides was only gravy (no potatoes). Oh well, I still plan to religiously stop here each time I'm in town because the food is SO good!!! read more

I posted a review three months ago regarding the inattentiveness and inefficiencies of the staff (specifically the weekend staff). However, with the license currently suspended by the Chicago Department of Public Health, it seems like it would be the entire staff that is lacking. My family and I will probably consider other options, moving forward. We'll also encourage others to do the same. My mother just finished dialysis at Endeavor and we had to pick up a final fantasy combo which consisted of a chicken sandwich, a drumstick, drink, an Ube pie, and fries. I love coming to this location because it is extremely fast. It only takes 10-15 minutes to receive your order. The Chicago downtown location can take up to an hour or hour and half to receive order. The chicken the crispy and fresh. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant as well. We had a very disappointing experience with our order from this location.First, the 3 Peach Mango Pies included in our Bucket Treat B meal were not in the bag that was handed to us. Fortunately, we checked our order before leaving and discovered they were missing. We were traveling back to Georgia, so it would have been extremely frustrating to find out later that we had paid for items that were never included.We also noticed that the napkins and utensils we selected during the online ordering process were not initially included in the bag. While the staff did provide them after we pointed it out, one of the benefits of ordering online is the convenience of being able to pick up your order and go. Having to double-check for missing items, including items specifically requested during checkout, takes away from that convenience.More concerning was the Chickenjoy. After our trip, we reheated the chicken in an air fryer at 350°F for 7 minutes before eating. While eating, we discovered that portions of the chicken were still raw/undercooked. Unfortunately, we did not notice it until we were almost done eating. Finding raw chicken is both disgusting and concerning from a food safety standpoint.I have already reported these issues to the Jollibee SFC Chicago number (+1 (626) 598-3828) but have not received any acknowledgment or response.We love Jollibee and were looking forward to bringing food back to Georgia, but this experience was very disappointing. Order accuracy needs improvement, and more importantly, the undercooked chicken should be taken seriously as a food safety issue. My family loves the Filipino fried chicken. This is the only fast food restaurant that will give you an option for mashed potatoes and gravy on the side or rice and gravy. This restaurant is also inside seafood city, they do have an entrance from the outside if the grocery store is closed. This restaurant is always busy, there's always a line. I had never been to a Jollibee before but had always heard good things about it so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. We ordered our food, was informed that it would take about 20 minutes and was handed a pager to let us know when the order was ready. When the pager didn't go off after a half hour, and not hearing anybody call out our order number, although others had been verbally called out, I decided to go up to the counter to see what the status of our order was. It took a few minutes to get noticed since there were other customers with order issues as well. When I got through and asked about our order the man at the counter slid a tray over with what appeared to be our food. I informed him that our pager didn't go off and he said absolutely nothing. I took the food to our table and realized that all items were cold to the touch. God only knows how long, or where, our order was sitting before I asked about it. I went back to the counter, waited again in the line of customers with order issues, and informed the same man that the food was all cold and would like a refund. At this point it had been about 45 minutes since we ordered. Without hesitation the woman next to him refunded me (and told me it could take a week to go through). I visited this Jollibee regularly and it's the best spicy fried chicken I've ever had. The Adobo rice is delicious as is the Palabok. They are always busy but somehow they are always really nice and they get the food out in a reasonable amount of time. Gravey is delicious and goes great with everything. Do get the pies. You won't regret it. The palabok, spaghetti, and Adobe rice were just OK. I just didn't enjoy much of the flavor profile of any of them, but good and worth trying for the first time. Pineapple quencher was OK, reminds me of dole from a can on ice. Staff and service were very cool... and the place was very clean. Ambiance is your typical fast food joint, bright and lively. Here's the thing, my food was GOOD. I've never had Jollibee before, so I was going into this blindly. However, I waited a good 10 min on the line and over 25 minutes for my food to come out. It wasn't until I hit the 20 minute wait mark that I went to inquire about my order, and from there, my food was ready minutes later (I believe, due to my inquiry). It seems like the order staff is very disorganized. There were large family meals being prioritized over individual meals. Never ever ever should a fast-food restaurant take 20 minutes to get their food out to their patrons. That being said, I didn't love the chicken sandwich (just a lil ol chicken patty with mayo slapped on a potato bun?) and $0.80 for a dipping sauce.... what???? I didn't hate the spaghetti side (though as a traditionally Italian person, I wasn't expecting much. It was oddly sweet). But, the item that is saving this whole review was the PEACH MANGO PIES. This is an easy 4 star review for me because of this location's convenience. It's close to I-94, between the Northshore and Northside of Chicago and located in the same building with Seafood (pronounced Seepood) City, Valerio's bakery and Red Ribbon. What more can one ask for?? I've been to the Skokie location (Touhy Ave.) the most and the Michigan Avenue location when I'm downtown for work, and I have to say that I like coming here when I want to spend little more time shopping for Filipino stuff. This is my favorite jollibee location. Staff are friendly and service is quick. There was ample amounts of seating and I thought it was cool that it was connected to Seafood City grocery store. I got the spicy chicken sandwich, spicy 2 piece with palabok, pineapple quencher, and the peach mango pie. The chicken was so crunchy and juicy. I love dipping it in the gravy that is provided. Well, it's the end of the day, things happen. I got the chicken strips and fries, instead. As fast food goes, it was pretty good. Nothing too exciting, but good enough. The fries are the same general shape and length as McDonald's fries, but less greasy. The chicken strips are very thin, and the breading is light and crispy. If I recall correctly, it's similar in texture to Popeye's breading, but Jollibee's tastes better. The real star was the pineapple BBQ sauce. I won't comment on the service, as the staff was clearly at the end of a weekend shift and worn out. The tables were a little dirty from the people before us, and the place is pretty loud with tall ceilings that echo the sound. The food is the saving grace for this location. Adobo rice: Insanely good with a sweet/savory flavor Mash potatoes: On par with KFC, but the gravy is better. PRO TIP: get an extra side of gravy and use it for the mash and Adobe rice Side of spaghetti: More unique than Italian/American spaghetti with a sweeter flavor. There's also sliced hot dogs which is a signature of Filipino spaghetti. Might seem unusual to a more American palate, but it grows on you and has quickly becomes something that I think about on a regular basis. 2pc deal: Comes with a thigh + leg, one side, a drink, and a mango-peach pie. The chicken is unbelievably tender and juicy! The skin is nice and crispy with a perfect balance of saltiness. A true masterpiece.
