Jollibee, you are like a well oiled machine now! We ordered and got our food so fast, I went to wash my hands, and it was already on the table by the time I got back. The staff was so friendly and working so hard cooking what looked like super fresh chicken. It tasted even better this weekend. I love the spicy fried chicken the most with adobo rice and spaghetti. The gravy was not my favorite the first time, but so good now and the biscuit was my second fav to Popeyes being first, but still fluffy and buttery. And while I tell you it was fast and fresh service, it was prime time dinner time on a weekend, and the long lines did not slow anyone down, they seemed to have worked out all of the bugs. I love the pineapple drink the most, but the kids got some refreshers, and I love that they still have those fun drinks, I got one the time before. I would love to see an expanded dining room, but I would also love to see more metro Detroit locations. I bet Novi would be a great spot to open, I will be your customer! People love it here so I bet it would do well if more opened. Since this seems to be a claimed page, just putting my plea to open more locations. Jollibee is a TREASURE. If you're not familiar - they're a fast food chain from the Philippines. They first opened in the states in 1998 in California. And what I love is that they didn't adapt the menu for American tastes and I think that's what making them successful and differentiated. This Sterling Heights location opened in late 2024 if I remember correctly! I've always wanted to make it out here but it's quite a trek from Ann Arbor, but we made it happen Jan 2026! This location was a lot smaller than I thought. Some tables but it was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon - at one point, there was a wait for tables and a small wait to order. I got the: *6pc Chickenjoy bucket + 2 sides - I wish I got SPICY because I tried some of my friends' and it was so dang good (actually spicy!) BUT the regular Chickenjoy was still tasty. FYI it comes standard with gravy and you dip the delicious crispy chicken skin (or whatever other part of the chicken) you want in it! And it's not because the fried chicken is dry, it just adds more oomph IMO! For my 2 sides - I upgraded to premium sides: *Spaghetti Joy - Filipino spaghetti is a MUST. It has coin pieces of hot dog and it's sweeter than your 'typical' Italian spaghetti. They also cut the noodles into smaller pieces. It gives comforting vibes for me! *Adobo Rice (garlic-infused rice mixed with shredded chicken and a tangy-sweet adobo sauce which is a classic Filipino soy/vinegar based sauce) - Only complaint was that it was a LITTLE mush for my liking BUT I did still smother it in some gravy. Delish. I also ordered the Ube Coconut freeze. I was tempted to try the guava refresher but the ube was calling my name! Next time I'll have to order the pies (ube as well as peach mango). I finally got to try Jollibee. It was a rare treat for me as someone delivered it from Sterling Heights to me at work in Detroit. I ordered the Pineapple Quencher, chicken tenders, spaghetti and mac & cheese. After hearing and reading reviews for years, I decided to dive in ignoring what I've heard--making sure I ordered the spaghetti. I've never had it from fast food restaurants. The drink was delicious and probably a little too sweet, but I very much enjoyed it. The mac & cheese was rich and reminded me of Stouffers frozen TV dinner mac & cheese. It had a similar taste and even had a little burnt cheese on the top. It felt like nostalgia. I enjoyed the Jollibee spaghetti. The tomatoey sauce tasted a ting like barbecue sauce.The little chunks of sausage or hot dog or whatever it is were good. Something else that I've not experienced.The flavors were rich, and it felt like homemade. I was expected to be blown away by the chicken. Perhaps it's better there at the restaurant, fresh and hot. I had issues with the texture, and also, I was expecting the unique flavor that I hear comes from the Chicken Joy, so maybe the next time I'll buy pieces of chicken not tenders so I can experience that unique flavor that everybody raves about. I had lunch here one Monday afternoon. The US locations appear to be different than the ones I've had in Asia. Still very good but slightly different. The chicken ia amazing here. Crisp and juicy I recommend it over KFC or any thing like McDonalds or BK. The Spicy chicken sándwich is not spicy (like 6 out of 10), but has great flavor. I'd order that or a small bucket of fried chicken anytime. The fries are not good. They were fresh but slightly undercooked. I think they are close to McDonald's style, but not as crisp. Angus Burger Deluxe is excellent! Great sear. Served hot from the grill. Veggies were fresh, crisp and cool. Cheese was not melted ... a minor miss. My adventure to visit the first (and at the time of this writing, only) Jollibee in the state of Michigan concluded on this particular day. I got here in the late morning and was fortunate to be the only customer at the time. I know this location has been around for over a year, but I was expecting to see a decent amount of foot traffic given how rare this restaurant chain is in these parts. Since opportunities for future visits are limited, I took full advantage of the situation and ordered a wide variety of popular items. One dish they are known for is their spaghetti, which I had to pass on unfortunately because it contains pork. But I pretty much ordered most of the menu for my breakfast because I just really wanted to see what all the hype was about. Let's get the main question out of the way first....this place has great fried chicken. I think I personally enjoy Popeye's more, but they are definitely better than KFC and it's not even close. The meat is so juicy and tender while the batter is perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I got one of the regular and one of the spicy and I found them both to be satisfying in their own ways. One thing you are supposed to do when you come is get a cup of gravy and dip your chicken into it. I tried this technique, and I must say it really hit the spot for me. The amount of sodium in both the chicken and gravy is high, so be warned doing this may make you extra thirsty. Thankfully Jollibee has a decent selection of sweet and refreshing drinks to satisfy your thirst, so I went with their fan favorite Pineapple Quencher. It was very sweet indeed, although the ice helped balance it out. A perfect compliment to all the savory food I got to enjoy, and given the company's Filipino roots was appropriate. Imagine blending a pineapple and sifting out all the flesh, that's what this drink tastes like. Moving on we had the fries, which were by far the weakest item I consumed. They weren't necessarily bad, but without the dipping sauces and gravy they wouldn't have been worth getting. I dipped them in both the Pineapple BBQ sauce (which was very sweet and reminded me of a spicy jam) and the Creamy Sriracha. The biscuit that I got was very light and buttery, and also a perfect item to dip into the gravy along with everything else. The one item I was not exactly excited for was the Cheesy Yumburger, but I will say this was a decent fast food cheeseburger. The bread was nice and fluffy, but did a good job absorbing the juices from the beef. The burger patty itself was probably frozen at one time, but I still found it to be tasty for what it was. While I did not need to do this, it too was dipped into the brown gravy and I have no regrets about it. I was so full by the end of this that I took the ube pie home. When I did eat it I found a crispy exterior with a smooth purple filling that kind of reminded me of a sweet potato pie. Overall I very much enjoyed my meal, and I spent a total of almost $25 for all this food and drink. Even though things like the burger and fries very just okay, I think coming early enough in the day gave me the advantage of eating food that wasn't just sitting around all day to get cold or stale. Jollibee is a little over hyped, but at the end of the day it's a unique fast food restaurant and one that I think everyone should try at least once. Second time trying Jollibee and I really like the spicy chicken more than the original. The spicy chicken isn't overly spicy, but a nice extra spice. The guava freeze was delicious and very refreshing on a warm day. My friend who doesn't usually eat pork enjoyed the special spaghetti that they serve there. The place has been super busy both times I've visited, which has been about a year between the visits. The workers are nice and helpful with explaining menu items. I just wish the place was larger since it's kind of far from where I live so I'd have to eat there to enjoy the chicken fresh. But like I mentioned before, it's super busy there. read more

I stopped by since I was in Troy and appreciate that the open at 10am. I got my usual, which is 3 pcs chicken meal with adobo rice, spaghetti and pineapple quencher. I had to wait a bit for the spicy chicken, as they were just placing them in the fryer when I was ordering. Still thinking about the spicy chicken, juicy, moist and delicious! Their spaghetti was good, not sweet like other places and this is why I liked it a lot better. The rice was ok, and never knew Jollibee's served biscuits - yeah, skip it :) Get here when they open if you can. Stopped by Jolibee because we were curious about trying it and the lines have chilled out from when they've first opened. We ordered online and picked up in the drive thru which was very fast! We got a 2 piece chicken meal deal and a 4 piece tender meal. The chicken joy was delicious, super tender but there was a lot of breading on one of the pieces. Chicken tenders were sad and skinny. Everything was pretty sweet tasting, but I think that's how it's supposed to be. The spaghetti is strange IMO, it's super sweet with no acidity from the tomato sauce in sight. There's 18g of sugar in one serving which is crazy lol. Not our cup of tea but I know some people like it! Favorites were the pineapple quencher and the ube dessert pie. read more

Stopped by the Jollibee in Sterling Heights and was surprised at a few differences compared to the LA locations I'm used to. First thing -- they don't sell Palabok or Pancit Malabon here, which was kind of a letdown. That said, the spaghetti and pineapple juice somehow taste better here than back home. The Yum Burger is also a little different -- thicker patty and bun. Personally, I prefer the California version since it's smaller and more petite, but it's still good here. The location itself is smaller but not crowded, which makes it a nice, quick stop without the long lines I'm used to in LA. Hopefully it sticks around because there aren't many Filipino fast food options in Michigan, and it's nice to have a taste of home nearby. read more

Jollibee - oh how I love thee! Out here making me wax poetic from the beginning! I am so thankful that this Filipino fast food chain has finally made its way to Michigan and on Hall Road - the road of all the fast food chains - no less! I have been dying to try this place since they first came to America, probably at the start of this millennia I believe! And let me tell you...it did not disappoint! This Jollibee location doesn't have the full Jollibee menu yet (most notably, no palabok fiesta yet), but there's still a ton on this menu that is just waiting to be tried! Everything is so tasty! I've been here about 6-7 times since they first opened up about a month ago?! I'm obsessed, as you can clearly see! Firstly, this is fast food, but not like your traditional fast food. It's just BETTER and so much more unique! Secondly, the lines here haven't been crazy at all! They have both drive through windows open, so the line moves fast, and you can go inside to order as well. They are really organized and I've always had a lovely experience going through the drive through! I've come here on weekdays and weekends and the drive through lines are always manageable! Now on to the food...the star of this show! My top favorite is the Jolly Spaghetti! I know this might be polarizing to some, but to me it just works so well! The red sauce of this Filipino spaghetti is significantly sweeter than your normal Italian red sauce, and they put cut up hot dog pieces into it - it just works for me so well and is definitely worth a try if you've never had it! Shockingly, my next favorite at Jollibee is their pineapple quencher! It tastes like pure pineapple juice, is so smooth and not too sweet, and just pairs well with literally every food item on the menu! I wish they sold the pineapple quencher in a larger size! I have now resorted to buying two of them each time I come here...it's a problem LOL! The fried chicken is literally so juicy and flavorful! I highly recommend you try this and make sure you get a whole cup of gravy so you can dip the fried chicken in it! The gravy truly sets Jollibee chicken apart from other places! Also, I love how well the chicken travels. I'm about 20-30 minutes away and I can take the chicken home and bite into it and it'll still be hot and crispy! I've tried the yumburger - it's like a regular fast food burger, but with an extra special tangy sauce and just a slightly thicker beef patty that just has a lot of grilled flavor to it that also sets it apart! The fried chicken sandwich and spicy fried chicken sandwiches are great as well! I prefer the spicy because it really isn't all that spicy heat-wise, but rather just more that you can taste the spices added in, which really gives the sandwich another layer. The chicken on the chicken sandwiches doesn't hit the same way the fried chicken on the bone does, not as juicy and moist, but still crispy and tender in its own right! My other favorite side is the adobo rice! It tastes like super flavorful sticky rice, and I'd recommend pairing it with any and all leftover gravy you have remaining! They go beautifully together! Last, but DEFINITELY not least is the showstopper that is the peach mango pie! McDonald's hand pies wish they could be this peach mango pie. It is perfectly crispy on the outside - like the pie crust is literally my favorite part of this pie. It's a handheld pie and so it has maximum crust, which is beautiful! The crust honestly tastes like the crispy outside to an egg roll and it just pairs so well with the gooey interior of the peach and mango concoction! This pie also travels so well and in fact, you'll probably want to wait a good amount of time before biting in because the ooey gooey inside will be PIPING hot! It also reheats beautifully in a toaster oven so you can get a couple extra to take home and store in your fridge for treats throughout the week as well! All in all, Jollibee has exceeded every expectation I've had. I am so glad it's here and will be frequenting this place often! The spaghetti was different, it has a slight sweet taste to it which I don't mind because I've had slightly sweet spaghetti before and I like it that way.. The joy and relief to finally have it in Michigan was everything for the community! Opening weekend was a success! We went the Monday after opening and opted to get into line and order inside. It was so cold, but we didn't wait more than 20 minutes. It's opening weekend. People are excited. There's going to be hiccups and delays, but that being said, I thought it went as well as it could have! There were SO MANY people working in the back, and ALL HANDS were on deck. They are working as fast and as efficiently as they can. It was impressive. And the food? Knocked it out of the park. The only reason I'm giving this a four-star rather than three star is because it actually beats my expectations from all the negative reviews on yelp. I got the six piece chicken combo A and there were six pieces, which I split 50% non hot and 50% hot. The chicken was overall well fried without too much grease and did not taste too oily or salty. In comparison, I looked at the nutritional info for KFC, and they have a lot more salt and fat contents in their chicken vs Jollibee. Quick drive through.
