Tip: Earn Jollibee rewards with every purchase. I have a mini goal to visit every Jollibee in the greater Toronto area. I have known about this Jollibee location at Promenade Mall for a while. I finally got around to visiting it on Monday after work, which completed my visiting Jollibee locations in the suburbs of Toronto. I like this Jollibee. It's by mall entrance 2. You have access to this eatery from the mall or through its own entrance when the mall is closed. Most Jollibee restaurants have washrooms with a numeric code that you need to use to unlock it. This one does not have this code, which is nice to not bug staff for the special code. I used the washroom before I left. It was decent. You press a button to lock the door and press the larger button to unlock it. I spent a bit of time at the mall. I worked up an appetite and headed over to Jollibee for a bite to eat. It's across from Firehouse Subs, which I'd like to visit someday. I walked through the mall entrance to get here. The downside to looking at the menu is that there's so much that I want. My usual is often not listed right off the bat. I have to wait for the screen to change to see it. I got a nice man at the counter who greeted me and took my order: - Two-piece burger steak - Adobo rice - Peach mango pie - Pineapple quencher I got my Jollibee rewards QR code scanned. I then paid with a credit card. I tapped, but didn't see that the credit card had prompted me for my PIN. It was incredibly random! I got my pineapple quencher. I love this drink so much. It is sweet. I'm glad that I don't have it regularly, so it ends up being a treat. The pineapple is so good. It's also icy cold. I got a buzzer to let me know when my food would be ready. I found a table and sat there, sipping my drink and people-watching. My order was number 19. The buzzer had 19 on in. It buzzed and lit up like I had won the lottery. It was kind of true. I was fetching my winnings in the form of dinner. I thanked another man at the counter who had my order nicely presented on a tray. I then headed back to my table to eat. I find the two-piece burger steak to be comforting. It's so good with sliced mushrooms and gravy. Adobo rice was new, so I went for it. It was flavourful. I hope it stays on the menu, as it's a fancy step up from the plain steamed rice! I mixed the adobo rice with the mushroom gravy. It was fantastic! I capped my meal off with a peach mango pie. It was excellent. There was plenty of fruit filling. The pie was crispy and hot. Yum! Before I left, I filled my empty cup with Diet Pepsi. I still don't know if I should be doing this fill-up, but I run out of pineapple quencher quickly that I genuinely need another drink. Maybe I need to suggest a larger quencher cup size, but I'd be on a massive sugar high than I already have with the current cup size. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've been here. Jolly Good Chicken !!! We were in the Promenade area and decided to have lunch. Since my kids had never eaten at Jollibee's before we decided to give it a try. Jolibee is a fast-food chicken chain from the Philippines and now has locations in Canada. My kids and I have had chicken from most of the North American chain restaurants like Popeye's, Mary Browns, Church's Chicken and KFC as well as local fried Chicken joints like Krispy Cajun, BB.Q Chicken and Mr. Sixx however they have not had the Pilipino style of chicken. When we arrived we had time to peruse the menu, and the person at the counter helped my kids pick out their meal. They were curious about two items they had not had before and we ordered some chicken meals, a la carte chicken as well as the Sweet Spaghetti and Palabok. I have to say the Palabok and Sweet Spaghetti were a hit and my kids loved it. I personally like the chicken at Jollibee's as they have a unique marinade and the chicken is always juicy and tender inside and the coating keeps the chicken crisp on the outside. My kids said they liked the chicken, but it wasn't the greatest as they are biased towards Popeye's. The meals were filling and the kids overall enjoyed them, Since our inaugural visit we have gone back a couple more times, mostly when we are at the Promenade for shopping or the movies. Overall, Jollibee's is always busy at this location and in the Thornhill area, this is our new go-to for fast-food chicken, Sweet Spaghetti and Palabok. read more

It's been a while since I've dined at Jollibee and enjoyed their delicious fried chicken but here I was, at Promenade Mall, parked at an entrance right next to the restaurant. I ordered the two-piece meal (one regular, one spicy) with fries, gravy, and a pineapple juice. Mmm, it looked yummy! Looks, however, can be deceiving. While the flavour was good, the chicken was not as fresh as it could/should have been. It wasn't even hot. The fries were definitely not fresh. The pineapple juice made up for it though. Jolibee lovers, please don't come for me. After trying most of their well-known items.. I only found it OK, an overall 2.5/5 Fried Chicken - pipping hot large pieces with amazing crunchy skin, the juiciest meat, but it didn't taste seasoned or that spicy (we tried mild & medium). So it just tasted 'chicken-y' unless you dunked it in their gravy. Peach Mango Pie - Baked hot. The filling was sweet and had fruit chunks with lots of syrup. Crust was crunchy, but overall nothing outstanding. Spaghetti with cheese - surprisingly didn't mind this one ! There was a chunkier tomato sauce and the shredded cheese with the al dente pasta was not bad. Pineapple Juice - had the right amount of sweetness, but it was just alright. This Jollibee location just recently opened up in Dec 2019. It is located on the upper floor right beside Old Navy, and also has its own separate entrance in the mall. There is a decent amount of seating with a mix of padded and non padded stools, chairs and benches. Seating is for about 70 people or so (as per the sign I saw). This is the newest location for Jollibee at the time of this review, and is not even up on their website under stores. This location is bright and airy with very friendly service. Upon entering we were greeted warmly and was served quickly with a short line up. Though the person taking our order seemed to get confused by some of our questions in the end we got what we came for, which was spicy chicken. If you have been to any other Jollibees before in the GTA, this location is pretty much the same as any other location with nothing to really make it better or worse then any other location, so at least the store brand seems to be quite consistent with its offering and how they train their staff. read more

My best friend told me I had to try the Jollibee's SPICY CHICKENWICH because her experience there was superior to that of the Popeyes' famous chicken sandwich. So it had to be done! First off, the size of this is impressive just looking at it! Upon first bite, I could already tell that the hand-breaded chicken breast fillet was crispy and juicy. I love that you can taste their spices, which have a unique flavor from other spicy chicken places, but was not as heavily seasoned compared to their chicken drums and thighs. However, to further heat things up, they also complemented this with a spread of spicy sriracha mayo, yum! To freshen it up, I got the deluxe version which was topped with sliced tomato and crisp lettuce. All of this was sandwiched between fresh jalapenos on a toasted, soft brioche bun. read more

Actually quite liked my experience at Jollibee. Brought it home and even after letting it sit for an hour, overall skin was still crispy and meat was still juicy, yet didnt feel drenched in oil and lighter than your other fried chicken options out there. Here's the main points: Spicy 4/5 - the seasoning is a sweet spicy, but kicks in afterwards - juicy chicken that also has spicy notes to it Original 4/5 - solid juicy chicken - good crispy skin, but the drumsticks tend to get dry afterwards, not the best and hence minus one (as for spicy) Mango Peach Pie 4/5 - A good sweet, but prominent mango and peach flavour - Peach tastes like the canned ones, possibly becuase it was cooked - Good amount of sauce within - Great crunch on the pie itself, not overly oily Banana Langka Pie 4/5 - Textural wise, tasted like a starchy veg (taro) consistency - Hint of sweetness, aromatic Overall good experience, would like to try it fresh and when its hot. Having just opened its doors yesterday, on December 20th, I came to scout out the newest location in the pursuit of picking up lunch for my family. Located inside Promenade Mall, the restaurant is located on the 2nd floor next to Old Navy, and a mall entrance making it easy to find. The place is brightly lit and has plenty of booth family seating. Upon coming here, I was greeted at the door and handed a flyer with all the specials and again, I was greeted by another lady at the queue. Surprisingly, there was only one other person in line ahead of me which causes me to think this place is still relatively unknown to the public (unless you're reading this post now cuz now you know!). The people at cash were very efficient in processing my payment and handing me a buzzer to notify me when my order was ready which didn't take long. I ordered the Christmas bundle for $35.99 which comes with 6pc chicken, spaghetti and 3 mango peach pies which was enough to feed 5 of us. All in all, I was in and out in under 10 minutes which is a new record. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I find the chicken salty and the spaghetti sauce overly sweet, both of which leave me parched. Needless to say, it isn't a place I'd crave to eat but it still seems hugely popular and I have no doubt in my mind they will still continue to do well. read more

This is the newest location of the famed Jollibee chain, having just opened last December. I finally got a chance to see what the hype is all about, and, spoiler alert, it's mostly just hype. The menu here has four main items - fried chicken, spaghetti, their Yumburger, and burgersteak. There's a few side items to choose from - fries, mash potatoes, butter corn, and rice. The fried chicken comes in original or spicy. I ordered a 3 pc spicy chicken combo with mash potato and gravy with a drink. The chicken was very disappointing, especially with all the hype around the restaurant. The skin was not crispy enough and the flavour did not get into the meat. The meat itself was dry. By comparison, if anyone remembers when KFC had extra crispy, that would have been better chicken. The mash potato tasted too mushy, but they did give me lots of extra gravy. The drink was pineapple juice which was alright. Overall this place doesn't even come close to the hype. You can get more variety of chicken in the new Popeyes downstairs or the KFC in the food court. If you want to venture further out there's always Mary Brown's on Dufferin and Church's chicken in Scarborough. read more

I got the jolly spaghetti combo ($8.99) with an extra piece of chicken ($2.99). I got the chicken spicy and it came out hot, juicy, and flavourful. The spaghetti was slightly sweet, which is how Filipinos do it, so it was exactly what I expected. The hot dog slices are so nostalgic. I'm clearly biased because I grew up with this food, but Jollibee is great. The pineapple juice has a hint of tartness and is so refreshing. I wish more places offered this as a drink option. The peach mango pie ($2.99) was fresh out of the oven and was the perfect way to end the meal. I didn't wait at all since I came just after opening. Trust the hype, the chicken here is just amazing! We come here from newmarket (30-40 min drive) and its so worth it we get enough to eat the next day and the dat after that. I can see the appeal of Jollibee. You got some seriously crispy chicken with great flavour of salt and pepper. The crispy chicken was pretty good and had good flavour. The Hamburger Steak with gravy was just ok because it was too salty. The peach pie was hot and crispy but not a fan of the filling. I don't know what drove me to want to try this place. I'm generally not a huge fast food fan, but the suspiciously jolly bee(?) mascot lured us into his fried chicken 'n spaghetti hive for some chicken, and I was stung with instant regret as my greasy Jolly Chicken combo slid all the way in... and then out... of me. First the good: the place had some good quality napkins and plastic cutlery. They offered full size, two-ply napkins - a rare fast-food find! The servers were also trying very hard to move the line forward. The mashed potatoes were pretty good and the chicken was crispy even after driving 10 minutes to eat at home. The not so good things: the lineup was huge, and the staff didn't know how to deal with the crowds. Somebody came around to take our order in line and warned us that it would take 20 minutes for our chicken to be made. By the time we got to the cash, the cashier didn't know how to find our order. We were told again that we would have to wait 20 more minutes. The place was also absolutely packed. If you weren't waiting in line, then you were waiting in a crowd for your food to be ready, and there are nowhere near enough tables. The chicken really wasn't anything great. Sure, it was crispy and pretty juicy, but it just all tasted way too fried. The chicken was fried, the dessert pie was fried, the fries were... surprisingly under-fried... and the gravy was way too salty. While the jolly bee may continue to attract unsuspecting mall goers, I'm not falling for this tricks and greasy chicken antics anymore. We won't be back. read more

A 10 piece bucket came with two containers of gravy. I thought the gravy tasted like brown sauce, but the teenager thought it was good. What do I know? The chicken was crispy, moist and tasty. If you are interested in Fast food fried chicken, this place is not for you. Went in today, and from order to finish, it took 45 minutes. I would understand if it took a while to order as this place is very busy, but waiting 45 minutes from when you order until when you get the food was just a tad ridiculous. Looking at the service speed, it was terrible. The heating trays were full of chicken, but they were taking their time serving the food. I saw 2 orders get frustrated and get a refund...and to be honest, I can see why. The food is nothing to write home about, the drinks were so so....and there were no place to sit and eat so we had to take it to go. Never go to this place.....it is just terrible service with chicken that isn't even very good. Go to Popeyes. better service, better food, and you don't have to wait forever for the food. read more

My new favorite fast food chicken. Popeyes has been so good to me. But despite how good the chicken was, you still needed to have it with sauce. Jollibees chicken hits the same amount of crispiness with a juicier and more flavorful chicken. Maybe my taste buds lean more towards sweet than salty, because the food at Jollibee is definitely very sweet. Chicken: regular is like Popeyes regular. Their spicy is SUPER spicy though. Spaghetti: didn't expect to like this but actually really good! The sweet tomato sauce is a little addicting and I've been thinking about it ever since. Peach pie: super sweet. Like 3x the sweetness of a McDonald's apple pie. Pineapple soda: so sweet, you probably shouldn't drink one all by yourself. If you like salty & spicy, go Popeyes. Poor organisation during COVID times. Joined the queue to place an order, only to find that the queue was for pick up. A bunch of customers ahead of us were just waiting and waiting but were apparently not part of the other poorly labelled queue. Someone else was standing around in the parking lot and the staff came out to take their order instead of those of us who were waiting. When the people queued in front of us spoke up, the staff directed us to wait in another queue. It was very dismissive and his tone was disinterested. I wasn't really expecting super warm hospitality or anything, but at least try to pretend that you're on duty. Get with the times. If KFC can make a makeshift app that allows you preorder and pay for food online, anybody can. There's always some sort of queue so the brand is doing fine. Went there the opening weekend. There was a short lineup. Order form was filled while waiting in line. The ordering was quick. The food was prepared pretty efficiently. The place was sort of crowded and noisy. The chicken were crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. A little bit bland, the gravy helped. read more

Jolibee honestly never disappoints. The chicken is NEVER too greasy or too salty ! It's always super flavourful and juicy! I also prefer my spaghetti sweet and they do such an amazing job keeping all their food items consist in flavour and texture! Besides the chicken, their peach mango pie is just insanely crispy and sweet! I love how everything just works in harmony with each other. Oh, and customer service is always amazing read more

Placed the order at 10:33, did not receive our order until10:58. That was a long wait for a supposedly fast food. The cashier did not mention that there was a wait for the chicken, that it was still being cooked. The side dishes were prepped and sitting in the tray.
