I'd only been to a different location of Jollibee once before, so I was totally up to check out this particular spot. The restaurant is actually located within an Asian supermarket, which made shopping after the meal a snap. I noticed that they had a special limited-time only menu going, so I went with the KBBQ Chicken Sandwich, and I got that as a combo with the side spaghetti. The sandwich has been coated in a Korean sauce that's actually quite flavorful and even a little spicy, but that's where the positives end. The chicken itself is a little dry and far from hot, while the bun was pretty much inedible because it was cold and stale. I wound up eating the chicken by itself. The spaghetti is equally hit and miss. The sweet sauce is fine and I enjoyed the little pieces of hot dog, but the noodles are overcooked and the whole thing is just kind of underwhelming. I came in so excited as Jollibee is one of my favorite fast food locations! On our trip to Canada I had to see if there was a Jollibee nearby and I was so happy to find this one. This location was packed! Which is how I like to see Jollibee. The line was super long, but it moved pretty quickly and it did not take that long to get my food. The staff here were also super kind and friendly. I ordered my favorite Jolly Spaghetti which is, spaghetti topped with their signature sweet-style sauce, loaded, ground beef, and hotdog and topped with melty cheese. I also ordered a one piece of their Jolly Crispy Chicken with gravy and a peach mango pie! Everything hit the spot and was so hot and delicious. Happy Filipino Heritage Month! What better way to kick it off than to review the most well-known Filipino restaurant (chain), Jollibee! Apparently in the Philippines, Jollibee is bigger than its next two competitors, McDonald's and KFC, combined, and is the only country where McDonald's isn't #1. I can see why! Before you ask, no I don't really eat Filipino spaghetti haha sweet noodles are not my jam. My favourite Filipino dish in general is palabok and glad to see it on the menu here. They use the thin vermicelli noodles. Nothing compares to my mom's, of course, but it's pretty good, especially for fast food! Nice and garlicky, shrimpy, porky, like it should be. Chicken Joy is definitely the thing to get here. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and my favourite, only dark meat! It comes with a side of gravy for dipping, which is actually pretty good, but not needed and the chicken is still great without it. You can eat it with plain steamed white rice (Jasmine?) on the side, which is I honestly think is the best pairing. The best part? They sell bags of fried chicken skin. I should've probably led with that. I mean where can you even get that?! Drool. Don't get me wrong, I love the standard fast-food apple pie at McDonald's and Harvey's, but the peach mango pie here is a sweet treat is a nice change. My brother was looking for something new to try amidst cycling our normal takeout spots, and chanced on Jollibee. We heard of when it first opened and the crazy lines back then, so we more or less forgot until he picked up a bucket of spicy chicken for the family plus some gravy, mashed potatoes, and peach mango pies. The chicken was piping hot when we got it, and the seasoning excellent. My family members who are good with spice loved the seasoning, and I (weak at spice) also loved it, but it just meant I ate at a much slower pace than they did lol. The spice is super strong, so you get flavour throughout the entire piece of chicken. Because of the spice, we found we could handle fewer pieces than normal non-spicy chicken. A wild ride for my taste buds, and I personally needed to take a couple breaks to recover from the spiciness. That said, the flavour was addictive! The mashed potatoes were decent, and the gravy we found a bit funky-tasting even after trying it twice. It didn't really pair well with the mash or the chicken, and didn't really feel like any other beef gravy I've had. Peach mango pies were an item I'd pass on next time as well, but I'm not that big a fan of pies in general. The flavour was decent, but not good enough to warrant the price. Imo, the pie tasted like peach and not much like mango, and was pretty much the exact same as a McD's pie. All in all, a solid experience. My intern and friend were casually thinking about lunch two Fridays ago. Somehow, we all ended up wanting to go to Jollibee. My friend had never been to a Jollibee before. I hadn't been to the Mississauga location. My intern's family goes here all the time. We made a decision to have lunch here. I drove us over here. It's in Heartland Centre next to the Seafood City. We got there before noon. I didn't have a problem finding a parking spot and backed into one. The lineup was significantly shorter than that at Jollibee in Scarborough. We had a gameplan. My intern grabbed a free table and plopped himself down. He gave his order and cash to my friend, who ordered on behalf of him. I simply stood in line, trying to decide what to get. I am thankful for my intern who is Filipino. He let me know what he likes from Jollibee. He tends to get the burger steak. He gets it with rice. He also likes the Yumburger. I went a bit crazy. I ordered my usual, which is the chicken drumstick and spaghetti as a combo. The combo comes with a drink. I also got the burger steak (two patties) with buttered corn. I would say that my friend and I were in line for ten minutes, tops. I was impressed. The lineup is at least twice as long, if not longer, at Jollibee in Scarborough. I got a person at the counter who took down my order. I was paying with cash (I know, rare). She only took credit cards, but directed my order to her colleague next to her after she had entered everything. I liked that. He took my cash, got me change, wished me a good day, and handed me a buzzer. I am so used to getting a fountain drink that I did it again. When I brought it to our table, both my intern and friend got the pineapple drink. Ugh! Our table was a bit dirty. I went to get napkins. When I got back, my buzzer was going nuts. I wiped down our table, got my receipt, and took it over to the counter. I like that the woman with my order made sure that everything was on my tray. I thanked her and went back to the table. The burger steak was phenomenal! If you like salisbury steak, you'll like the burger steak. It's simply comforting. I love gravy with sliced mushrooms. So good! My friend had fries with her meal and offered me some. I took each fry and dipped it in the mushroom sauce. Heavenly! If you know my take on fries, I'd rather pass on them unless they are in a poutine or have gravy on them. Oh, and the buttered corn! I love corn. No, I mean seriously LOVE corn. I figured out a day later at the Jollibee in Scarborough that I can order the burger steak with two sides. It worked well when I ordered the corn and rice. One side felt like my meal was incomplete. Two sides work best for me. I like the spaghetti. Put little bits of hot dog in it and I'm in heaven. There was a slight tangy sweetness to the sauce. I dig it. Then again, I love spaghetti that I will eat practically any form of it. The chicken drumstick was huge. It was juicy and fried perfectly. I was in heaven. My friend went crazy. She ordered what seemed to be everything on the menu. She got everything I did, except that she got fries with one of her meals and a Yumburger. She enjoyed everything and had leftovers. My intern got the steak burger (two patties) with rice. He also got a Yumburger. He was so happy. We all were after our meal. I got two peach mango pies. I had one at the restaurant. It makes me happy eating one. The crust is crispy and deep-fried. The peach mango filling is so cheerful and not super sweet. It's the best. I had the other one at work a few hours later. Now I couldn't eat everything on the menu so my girlfriend and i split a number of menu items from fried chicken, mashed potatoes, burgers, and some desserts. Here's what I thought! Double cheeseburger: pretty standard fast food burger and pretty similar to one from McDonald's, flavour wasn't bad and I would probably eat one again. Mashed potatoes: reminded me of the ones from Kentucky fried chicken, good for fast food mashed potatoes. Sundae: standard vanilla ice cream with chocolate on top, solid little dessert. Fried Chicken- The fried chicken wasn't good, but not next level good. The fried chicken was super crispy and crunchy and did have flavour, but I wouldn't pick it over Popeye's. Overall, I had fun giving Jollibee a try and even though I don't think it's breaking any fast food barriers, it was a good experience. They managed to get the line through pretty quickly that was pretty impressive so start with, but everything after that not so much. So I tried the fried chicken with the gravy and their Mango peach pie-both really didn't live up to my expectations nor the hype.I found the fried chicken to be pretty bland, oily and flavorless the only good thing was it was pretty tender.The gravy was actually pretty good not super runny nor thick tasted good too. For the the sides I got mashed potatoes and corn they both are pretty standard nothing extraordinary to write about.But honestly prefer Popeyes chicken over this any given day. The mango peach pie that I tried was pretty average the crust was pretty generic and the filing was nothing to die for-overall an average mango peach pie it was more peachy then mango. I regret not trying their pineapple drink which everybody talks about maybe I shall go there again just to try that. Jollibee has got to be one of my favourite fried chicken spot! I just absolutely love the spice level from the seasoning they add on their chicken compared to Popeyes. Dipping it into the gravy is a must as it just makes the taste 5x better. The chicken itself is consistently crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I've never had a dry piece of chicken here. Always cooked through perfectly! Although, I wish they had the option to add extra of the spicy seasoning as I like my food spicy compared to most people. I usually order their 2 or 3 piece special with one side of rice and pineapple juice. Their pineapple juice isn't too sweet and it compliments the meal nicely! The line ups usually get quite long here so expect a wait! However during peak times, they are very efficient with a staff taking preorders before we arrive at the front cash to pay. Ordered their 2 chicken + rice combo, with pineapple juice as my drink. I also added a spaghetti on top of that. This was sufficient to get me full at a price of $15. Quite expensive for a fast food joint. However, the food was good. The chicken is way better than other fast food franchises like Popeyes, KFC or McDonald's, tender, juicy but not too oily. The pineapple juice was refreshing, although I wish there was more in a cup. The gravy pairs perfectly with the chicken. I don't recommend adding the gravy to your rice (it gets all mushy and destroys the taste). I liked the spaghetti too. People told me that their spaghetti was very sweet. But it tasted like normal pasta to me (with a pinch of sweetness, not too much). Quite good in my opinion. However, they added cheese and other stuff to it, so even if it doesn't look much on a plate, it fills you up. The sauce contains slices of hotdogs, which were interesting. I bought the mango peach pie as a dessert, which was great. Similar to McDonald's Apple Pie, it tastes more sweet with a tropical flavour. The outsides was crisp and there was plenty of stuffing. I love it because it doesn't have the cinnamon in a typical apple pie. The only thing is that the location is VERY crowded. It might be because it just opened (last year). I came at around 3pm, and there was literally no space. People were standing beside your table waiting for you to finish so they can take your spot. I wouldn't really recommend sit down. I can't imagine how many people there would be for peak hours. This situation might be better as Jolibee opens up more locations in the future. Overall, good food. We went here for an early lunch around 11 (I believe location opens at 10 am) and as soon as we walked in, other customers started piling. My go-to here is the one piece chicken joy with spaghetti and pineapple juice. It was my first time trying the spicy chicken and had a nice spice to it. Some fried chicken places only put spice on the outer seasoning but you can tell that their chicken was brined with the spice as you can taste it throughout. So I have been to Jollibee a few times already and have enjoyed my experience every single time. The line can sometimes be long but it moves quickly, the only downside when there's a line is that there is barely any seating in the restaurant. If you go when it isn't peak time there is no line and lots of seating in the restaurant. Now the food itself is just mediocre. The fried chicken is okay, I still prefer KFC or Popeyes. The only good thing about the fried chicken is the gravy it comes with. Unless paired with the spaghetti, I don't think I'd come here just for the chicken. The fries aren't very appetizing either, other fast food chains have better fries. What makes Jollibee special is the spaghetti and mango juice, both which are very delicious. The deserts are also pretty mediocre. The mango peach pie and sundae are just like McDonald's. Lastly, you'll be looking to spend $15-20 on a meal which doesn't really seem worth it to me. I am really impressed at the efficiency here! You stand in a line and they give you a menu booklet to peruse and a number. There is an employee who is able to take your order while you're still in line. The employee then gives you the sheet of paper to take to the counter. The counter staff then gives you a vibrating saucer when your food is ready for pick up at the counter. The staff are friendly! I really enjoyed the one burger they have on the menu. The yum burger has this sauce that's so different. Like a mac sauce with pineapple taste? Yes, the patty is so small, but this sauce is amazing, so I would continue buying it. It is a steep price at $3.29, but for that sauce, yes!! The palabok was pretty small and not as good as in the Philippines. There's no calamansi and missing garlic and chicharon. The cost is $6.29, it's not worth it. The chicken was amazing though. I don't remember the chicken here being so good, but it was sooooo good. Gravy was perfect with it. I love the size, the crispiness of the chicken skin. It was even crispy as a leftover. The spicy chicken is actually spicy and has a nice kick to it. So I went to the Mississauga location of Jollibee's, even though I swore I wouldn't go again after going to the Scarborough location lol. There's barely a line in Mississauga, still had empty tables. The mango peach pie was good. It wasn't any better or worse than McDonald's apple pie. I can taste canned peach, mango not so much. Pineapple Juice was okay .. but again, not worth the hype. Sure everyone's starting to become familiar with this fried chicken franchise originated from Philippines that has opened many locations around the world. Tried a few times and most experiences were pleasant except for the long lineups. Recall when the first location opened omg people camped hours outside to get a taste of this new joint. Even this location at 930pm, at least 25ppl in line, pretty unbelievable but luckily service was fast. Once you pay they give you a pager to call you when your order is ready. Ordered the two piece combo ($8.99) which comes with 2 pieces of chicken (spicy), side steamed rice, side gravy and my favorite the Pineapple Tropical (+$0.50 to change from soft drink). Chicken is crispy and juicy but not spicy at all. They simply just add spicy seasoning powder on top of chicken. Steamed rice is rice but the drink always a must upgrade for me. Not sure what it is but the artificial pineapple seems to entice my tastebuds. Too bad can't upsize drink else I'd do that in a heartbeat. Overall nice place for fried chicken or other menu items they offer including spaghetti and burgers. Definitely trumps some other long time chains (name not mentioned) in both quality and pricing. I had always wanted to try filipino fast food and had been dying to try this place. I did not realize they had locations in toronto. My boyfriend was hyped to go and get food after our dinner! We ended up going and bringing it home for late night. This location is located into a supermarket. It was super packed and crowded when we went! The line was so long but it was definitely worth the wait. We ended up ordering for our friends so we had a lot of food to go. We all ordered the combination B I believe which came with one bucket of chicken, a container of spagetti, and 3 mango peach pies. The spagetti was actually better than what I thought. It was definitely different than the traditional spagetti we would normally eat. It is sweet but addicting. BUT I have to say that the MANGO PEACH PIE was hands down, my FAVORITE! I'm going to be fully honest here... I'm Filipino and I think Jollibee is overrated. Filipinos go crazy for their Jollibee and I don't really know why. I've tried a few different things from their menu. They have burgers, fries, palabok (Filipino rice noodles), and other dishes on their menu, but my favourite is their spaghetti joy and chicken joy. Their spaghetti is sweeter than others and has cheese on top. Yum. Their chicken is crispy and they pair it with rice (Filipino-style). While the food is good, I don't think it's worth all the hype. I've seen this place on so many YouTube channels and have always wanted to try it but never knew when I'd visit the Philippines to do so. I was so excited to see one in sauga when I was visiting that I had to stop by. The spicy fried chicken was easily the best I've ever had at a fast food chain. Hands down better than any KFC or Chic-fil-A or any of the others. It was so juicy and tender on the inside, superbly crisp and beautifully spiced on the outside and just worked. Every bite was delightful. The peach and mango pie was also simply incredible. It was so hot and fresh with a beautifully flaky pastry which was thin and crisp, a warm gooey delicious filling where I could actually taste the fruit and the best part was that it was not doused with sugar or overly sweet and the natural flavors came through. Again, one of the best I've had at a fast food chain. Oh how I wish they would start one of these in Seattle, it would probably be terrible for my health insurance if they did but damn I'd be there every week. read more

Coming from the States where the closest Jollibee is 4 hours away, I had to take advantage when I came to Toronto! Let's just say I love jollibee so much I had it twice. Next time I go back I wish to try more of the menu! Food: I ended up getting the spicy chicken joy combo with spaghetti (I don't like that this location doesn't offer 2 fried chicken I had to pay $2.99 CAD for the second). But I do enjoy the spicy seasoning on the juicy tender chicken. I love dipping my chicken in the spaghetti sauce! Also pineapple juice is a must it's so delicious I could drink 10 cups in a day. Not pictured was also halo halo sundae since the states doesn't offer it. It was just a vanilla soft swerve with gummies/jelly and ube but it just hit differently. Service: The service was great they greeted me well and they were fast and the lines seemed long, but it was fast thanks to them. The only con would be if you wanted spicy chicken and you had to wait for them to finish frying them. Wow. I'd been meaning to try Jollibee for SO LONG since it opened so close to me, but just didn't get around to it. Went in today & got the 2pc Spicy Chicken combo & again - wow. First of all, the service! The resto was quite busy but there was no lineup! The staff was so prompt - one of them was packing my takeout AS I was ordering, and as soon as I got my change, my order was ready! Amazing. Secondly - the sides. The choice is between fries, mashed potatoes, rice & buttered corn and I went for the latter. It was good, exactly what it says it is. I added Tobasco & regretted it immediately - it was better originally. The combo also came with gravy which was surprisingly REALLY good! I'd heard it was "curry flavoured" & although you could taste some extra seasoning, it wasn't overwhelming at all & complimented the chicken really well. Ok now, the main - the spicy chicken! It was SO GOOD!!! Piping hot, super crispy, SO juicy! There was so much flavour! I can honestly say it's the most flavourful fast food fried chicken I've had. I got a thigh & leg, and it was more than enough to fill you up. The chicken was seasoned so well & ACTUALLY spicy, which I really enjoyed. Definitely at the top of my fave chain fried chicken now! Can't wait to go back with more people so we can try the unique items like the spaghetti & burger steak. read more

For me this is the best chicken fast food place compared to mcdonalds, popeyes and kfc. Their food is amazingly tasty and their peach manggo pie is to die for! Their prices are cheap as well. Just don't go here during the weekends because it would be very packed and crowded. I always get the kids meal chickenjoy which is only $5 + tax!!!! It already comes with a drink + chicken + rice + gravy... also if you want a free peach manggo pie or sundae just do their feedback on the receipt!!!! I'll talk about the most important menu item first: fried chicken. I'm honestly gonna give it a 3/5. It was crispy and juicy.. but there wasn't much flavour. The gravy.. also didn't have much flavour. I'm hopeful about the spicy chicken so I'll be back for that. The spaghetti: 3/5 The sweetness I didn't mind, the sauce had a meaty flavour and the noodles were a good texture but I just wouldn't order it again. The pineapple juice: 5/5 Tastes exactly like pineapple! Really refreshing. Mango Pie: 5/5! I really love the mango pies. Service: 5/5 The line moved really quickly, everyone was friendly and they even wiped down the tables and swept before we sat down! I'd recommend everyone try Jollibee at least once! read more

It's ok but not what I prefer. There is still a line depending on the time of day you go. I think the wait is on average about 15 minutes if your at the end of the line where the ropes start. We ordered the original the first time and it wasn't anything special very oily, seemed like the chicken came straight from the fryer to my container and by the time we got from the store to the car the container was leaking with oil. As for flavour the original was ok I prefer the taste of KFC or Popeye's original. This time around we ordered the spicy bucket of 10 and I enjoyed it much better than the original. We also ordered their apparently very famous pineapple fountain drink and wow to my surprise it tasted like it came out of the del monte can and straight into the fountain. I think the best part of the meal was their gravy not runny but not too thick and had some pretty good flavour. This location has plenty of parking outside. I would still come back and get the spicy chicken once in a bluemoon but I wouldn't say often just not my cuppa tea. read more
