I've been following Jolly Pirate GC for a while now because they offer up more than amazing donuts: they're serving nostalgia. So when I found myself in the neighborhood yesterday, I popped in for a couple treats: maple long John and an apple fritter. Firstly, the young woman working the counter was *so* sweet! Instantly made me feel welcome (I wish I knew her name!) So many different donuts on offer, it was hard to choose. Went with my two faves because I was overwhelmed! They both were perfectly risen and fluffy, sweet and delicious. Now I'm mad I didn't buy a dozen! They have spots to sit inside if you're not on the move. I appreciate their Halloween decorations!!

    Cute treasure box.

Quick service. Order at the counter or sit at the bar for coffee. Tons of variety. Tough to just pick a few. Tasty and fresh. This donut shop has been a Grove City staple for years. I will be back!

Food was Great as always, but apparently the management has really gone downhill and fast! They got an energy drink now, but you're not allowed to have samples! Talk about a bizarre marketing technique! Why advertise you got it if you can't give anyone a sample, unless it taste like dog water then I guess no one should sample it! Very confused as the staff is super friendly, but worried about getting fired over a sample of energy drink....

Jolly Pirates is a family favorite. Not only do they have a wide variety of donut options to choose from, but they also have delicious coffee to pair it with. It's located right off of Broadway, and has some fun decorations at the front window that make it hard to miss! I've never had a long wait time, even though the store can get very busy on weekend mornings.

If you love donuts and you haven't been to Jolly Pirate what are you doing!? So so glad this place isn't close to me or else I'd be here all the time! There is truly something for everything, and they constantly have specialty donuts for the different holidays and seasons. My go-to donuts are probably cinnamon sugar and red velvet. They pair nicely with an iced latte AFTER having breakfast. These donuts are loaded with sugar and such a great treat, which is why I'll make the drive every now and then for my family. Looking forward to their fall specials!

Horrible service. Rude workers snap at customers. Argue and bad mouth late or absent workers very loudly. Disgruntled and hateful attitude... Very unpleasant experience.

Food: My daughter likes going here for donuts and a chocolate milk. We've stopped by a few times now. She enjoys the glazed donut w/ sprinkles and the carton of chocolate milk. I've tried a few flavors of donuts and to me they were just alright ( chocolate glazed, Boston cream filled, glazed with sprinkles& the star donuts). Not my favorite but not the worst I've had. They have a star donut that is only made on the weekends and every time I go its gone. So I would love for this to be made more often or made on both Sat & Sun. Service: The 1st time we went on a Sat afternoon. It was so empty I almost thought the store was closed. Once inside a few people came in as we were being served. Service was fine. The person helping us was young. We then came back again on a Sun before my daughter hd practice. This time it was busy. And we had to wait quite a bit which was a little annoying b/c everyone ahead us seemed to be buying multiples boxes full of donuts and the donut baskets were getting empty. We were only there for 1 donut and a chocolate milk for my daughter, who is only 5. Luckily we got through the line and made it to practice on time. But they def need more registers and a better system for large orders when they are busy. Ambiance: It's pretty dark inside. Nothing spectacular about the decor or setup. I think it needs to be brightened and a little better decorated. Floors and counters were dirty both visits. Seats look old and worn.

We stumbled across the Jolly Pirate and I could not resist stopping to try the wide variety of small donuts. This day and age of bigger the better these are smaller with about every flavor and decoration that you could imagine.. see a location need a donut fix stop and see the Pitate for your fix..

This is just a little "hole in the wall" classic type of donut shop and you know it's going to be good! They're opened 24/7 and they have a parking lot. Plenty of variety for their donuts. During the fall time they had this pumpkin donut and it was to die for! I tried their peanut butter cream, blueberry with frosting, and apple spiced donuts. Sooo good! It's moist and has lots of flavor. The apple spiced has apple filling inside which made it a nice surprise. It's $1.09 for each donut which isn't bad! They have lots of variety and some creative ones, such as their current Lucky Charms donut. Next time you pass Jolly Pirate, stop in and try their donuts!

Their donuts are so good. Cooked properly and so delicious. Such a great variety, really satisfied the donut cravings!

When you have the best doughnuts in central Ohio, you sit back and enjoy your success, right? Maybe so, but not if you're Jolly Pirate. No, you increase your pastry offerings, as well as your doughnut choices. They might have to expand the store soon, to have room for all the goodies and the customers. I tried the yummy new chocolate overload doughnut, but I was only buying four, and not the two dozen I wanted to buy, so my other three were some of my long-time favorites. I prefer filled doughnuts, and they excel at those, but they also do a great job with the various unfilled raised and cake delights, frosted or not. Whatever your favorite is, they do it right, and you might find a new favorite (or five) in the rack or case. Oh, and there's the clever treasure chest that they pack your doughnuts in.

My purchase consisted of pain au chocolat, two shortbread an orange brioche and a blueberry lemon taro tea. All of the items were amazing. I don't like items too sweet and the tea was perfect. The line moved fast and the staff were very efficient. There was outside seating as well as a few seats inside. I like that they support local small business. They were selling flowers from a local urban farm.

I've heard nothing but great things about this cafe, so my expectations were high - I'm happy to…read morereport that this place is worth the hype! We were gifted tickets for the German Village picnic Giftory experience which gave us two macarons of our choosing and two vanilla shortbread cookies for free. We chose the raspberry chambord and pistachio macarons while also ordering two pistachio cloud matchas. All of the desserts were excellent. The raspberry macaron was very fruit forward while the pistachio was more subdued, but still had a spot on flavor. Even with sugar coating the shortbread cookies, the touch of vanilla made them taste light. I could easily see myself eating far too many of those. The star of the show was the matcha. 10/10! I've never had a pistachio flavored drink, so I was a little hesitant, but wow, I'm glad I ordered it! The matcha base wasn't overly sweet nor was the pistachio foam overly salty. Perfect mix of sweet and savory. Even thought the line was out the door, it moved at a decent pace and our drinks didn't take too long to receive. I'd like to try the strawberry matcha next time, but I'm not sure if I can pass up the pistachio Highly recommend!
