I was not familiar with the name or vibe but speaking to my beau who was a student here this place was in another location and the jazzy hippie vibe is on point. The music was good too good for the demographic lol. And the coffee and service was good as well. I got a seasonal latte with oat milk and did some work there. The only sour point was the garage door aesthetic does not lend well to insulation. It was chilly and the tables were a bit unstable/poorly constructed. I would say go deep in the hippie vibe and get old refurbished furniture from the resale shop or estate sales - at least they last. Visit but bring a jacket or sweater lol. read more

Came to their new location early to check it out. It's attached to a warehouse and you can park in the gravel area. It didn't seem like the inside had much ventilation as they had a large fan blowing air into one of the rooms. We ordered at the counter inside, then they make the coffee in their cute little van. Can't remember what I ordered but it wasn't bad! It's nice to see that Mission has a physical location again. read more

Wow! Second time here. We came months ago and I didnt have the greatest experience. Actually left super disappointed. Not this time!!! This time they really did much better. Aesthetically , its great and unique. The shop seems like an artistic work in progress. It was cute before but I can really see the vision coming together now. Its warm, industrial, and cozy.... A hard trio to merge successfully and they are almost there. I ordered a honey cap made with oatmilk, cinnamon sprinkled on top. The coffee roast I had tasted smooth, with a hint of chocolate. The pour of oatmilk was a bit too much as it made the coffee a bit watery but, honestly, it tasted so nice I was surprised that I didnt mind. My only beef is it takes a really long time to make the coffee. The coffee is made outside in the retro mobile van. They have a cute window that they pass the coffee thru to the inside so you dont need to go outside to get it. That is genius and unique. The length of time it took to get my coffee is the only reason lost a star. This is definitely a coffee house that has a lot of potential. I look forward to my next visit read more

Mission Coffee has some of the best coffee in town. Located on the south side, Mission Coffee offers an airy and industrial atmosphere with beautifully prepared drinks. I would highly recommend Mission Coffee's vanilla lattes, which are flavorful and delicately sweetened. You can order at the counter and the drinks are delivered through a rotating slot. 2020 has thrown us all for a loop and while I'm sad that Mission Coffee OG is no longer, I'm so glad that I can still get their beans and a latte at this spot - The Mission Coffee Roasting Annex! Mission has used this space for a while now, mainly as a preparation space for roasting their beans. They've even hosted events here pre-covid. Nowadays it serves as an easy way to pick up a quick cup of joe. It's located right off of 4th street and there's free parking right out front. They have a little corner set up for all orders made online, for easy grab and go. While this is an option, it isn't required. You're more than welcome to pop in and place an order... That's exactly what I did this morning. If it's warm outside, Mission's cold brew (black) is my absolute favorite in Columbus. When it's a bit chilly out (like right now!), I'll opt for an oat milk latte. Sometimes I'll add some vanilla to mix things up but it's delicious without flavoring added. If you need a snack they offer the local Pattycake Bakery items too. Overall, I'm so happy Mission is still around and I'm excited to see what their future holds! I have been coming to Mission for years and I just can't get enough of their awesome craftsmanship of coffee beans and the work that they do with people around the world to ensure a great cup of coffee. I like that they have classes from time to time to help people expand their horizons on coffee and try to steer way from huge corporate chains who will remain nameless (lol) and allow for people to understand local coffee shops and how they work to retain community involvement. What's not to like? I got their Salted Maple Cortado a delicate sweet treat for the cool days ahead these fall days. Some reviews said it was hard to find but they have very clear and large signs posted, plenty of parking available (gravel). They have a cute silver coffee car outside that is sometimes open (depending on staff/weather) This inside has plenty of seating(couches, bar, tables) has great natural lighting, music is a reasonable volume (they have soothing jazz playing), very cozy and inviting. I ordered a lavender latte and it was so nice and smooth. I didn't order any pastry's but they do have some available. The coffee some out of this cute chute on the bar and I think it's really cute. I great place to come lounge with friends or to get work done. All their coffee is ethically sourced from female owned businesses. They have open mic/live music Saturday mornings! Mission Coffee is one of my new favorite coffee shops in the Cbus area! Located right on 4th street, I pass Mission on the way home to my Ohio State house all the time. This cute, quaint coffee shop is filled with high-quality, top-of-the-line espresso and coffee perfect for any occasion. Mission Coffee has a great atmosphere- from the incredibly friendly employees to the warm decor, you will love this place from the moment you walk in! As for the coffee, it is genuinely one of my favorite flavored coffees in the area. I am a coffee LOVER, and Mission did not let me down. I ordered a vanilla latte, yes a simple order, but it was filled with tons of flavor. They also have a lot of goodies and bakery items (if you have a sweet tooth like me, try the chocolate chip cookie!!!). I've always wanted to visit Mission Coffee but was never able to make it before their Short North location closed. I was introduced to Mission Coffee via a yelp event and was glad to have sampled some of the drinks they offered. I thought they were good at adhering to social distancing guidelines and I felt very safe. I tried their Thai Coffee with pumpkin spice and vegan condensed milk. As an avid lover of condensed milk, I was a little bit skeptical about it being vegan but when I tasted the drink, I was VERY impressed with the drink. The drink was tasty with a hint of pumpkin spice and not overly sweet. I was able to snag some beans and my family, who are huge coffee snobs, really enjoyed their beans also. I would definitely recommend Mission Coffee if you're looking for some unique caffeinated drinks and some coffee beans to gift this holiday season! read more

Mission Coffee has established itself as a stole in the central Ohio community. I recall patronizing this establishment when they were at their first location quite a few times. I've always loved the vibe of this place. The people present were always refreshing to see and be around. The new building has an awesome feel to it and I love the new location. The service here has been great. I have stated in previous posts that I am not an avid coffee drinker but when I do get some to drink, I love when people assist me in making the best choice possible by requesting some information from myself. I had the coconut rum cold brew. I love when my coffee beverages are sweet. This wasn't one of those types of drinks, but I found that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not an alcohol drinker so I don't know what coconut rum tastes like but I can tell you that the authenticity of it came through. read more

I was here for a Yelp event and had the pleasure of trying their salted maple cortado. It was well balanced and not quite as strong as others I've tried. For me that's a good thing, a happy middle ground between cortado and latte. I also tried their iced vanilla cold brew. It was also really great. If you're not paying close attention, you'll definitely pass it up. It's located in a warehouse off of south high street. There was only one guy working there at the time, and it was a little awkward because he constantly had to go inside to take orders and then rush back outside to the little bus to make the drinks. He was really nice and made great coffee. I wouldn't give five stars because of the location. Not only is it out of the way, but it's also not the nicest spot. I felt like I was sitting in someone's grandfather's dirty and cluttered garage. If I'm drinking pricey coffee, I'd rather enjoy it in a nicer setting. I guess it's a good spot to get your coffee to-go if you live in the area. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back but I think 4/5 stars is appropriate. read more

Visited the Short North location before the COVID pandemic and didn't realize it was the same company. Sadly, I saw that the Short North one is now closed. Their coffee is amazing!! The pandemic has really limited my visits but I hope to make it here more often. I especially liked the cortada since that was something I've never had before. I also bought some Gesha coffee beans, which they seem to make a big deal out of since it's a limited release item. It has notes of hibiscus, guava, and strawberry so of course I was dying to try it given the tropical hints that remind me of my hometown. It was only roasted 5 days before the day I purchased it so it was pretty fresh and I was happy about that. It was fruity, flavorful, and had some sourness to it likely due to the hibiscus and guava so it's one that needs a little sugar or honey. When it's made with the Aeropress, it's so good it doesn't even need any milk or creamer. The price point is a bit steep at $26 for an 8 oz bag. But it's definitely one for coffee lovers to try. From their Instagram, it seems like they have a secret menu. I missed a day where they had a secret orange latte with oat milk...not sure if this was related to the Browns making the playoffs but the timing seemed likely. Would definitely like to try some of their secret menu items, but I'm just not sure what the best method is for staying in the know? read more

This coffee is amazing! My mom and I were passing through Columbus on our way home from a backpacking trip, and I found this roastery through a google search---beware, Google seems to think this place is on the opposite side of the street from its actual location. I got a pour-over, and it was the best pour-over I've ever had, honestly. Sometimes high-quality coffee has a really acidic, tomato-like flavor, but this coffee was chocolately and rich, not burnt like french roast can be, just full of a nice, deep flavor. Perfect for a car-ride back to Cleveland! My mom got an iced oat milk latte, and this too had a really nice flavor to it. I'm happy to know a place I can go when I'm near Columbus. I went to the annex for a Yelp event involving coffee tasting. It was a wonderful event in a wonderful space, and the coffee was awesome! I will definitively be back to Mission for my coffee needs.
