We didn't end up eating here because there wasn't a place to sit so we ordered coffee to go!! We both got an iced brown sugar latte- simple but delicious!! Fox in the Snow is easily one of my favorite coffee shops in Columbus! They do traditional coffee exceptionally well (cappuccino, pour over, etc.). It's my go to spot when I'm missing a European coffee shop. The German Village location always has a line out the door yet I've never waited more than a few minutes. The staff does a great job of making sure the lines moved swiftly. The cafe itself is quite spacious for the location and has amazing natural light. I give four starts because this location doesn't have WiFi! read more

I love Fox in the Snow. Obsessed with their egg sandwich, but don't sleep on the wide range of both sweet and savory menu items! Stopped in for a quick treat recently and got a cappuccino and a sticky bun. I especially love the huge pile of sweet nuts on top! The caramel-y, nutty sticky bun is super sweet but so tasty. Love a cappuccino, but not as strong as I prefer (still on the lookout for the best cappuccino in Cbus!) It's always busy at the 4th St location so be prepared for a wait. Also, the building is very industrial, so it being busy makes it loud inside. The tiny back patio is my favorite little spot, but it's small so fills up fast. I had wanted to try this place last time I was in town, and unfortunately didn't make it. (I live out of state.) So this time, it was my first coffee shop stop! I am so glad I didn't miss it this go around! The place is so cute. It's bright and open. The pastries are beautifully displayed as soon as you walk in, and beautiful they are!! One of our faves was the strawberries and crème morning bun! OMGeee perfection! The strawberries and crème were filled all the way top to bottom, not like lots of places that just put a small amount in the center that you have to eat dry pastry forever to get to! And the sugary bun itself was so good! Apparently strawberries were the theme because we also got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and it was Al's scrumptious! The German village location is my go- to. Typically Friendly and fast service, usually in and out (or served) within ten minutes to get through the line and receive my order. Food- I typically get the famous egg sandwich with bacon, sliced or the everything Crossaint w/ the cream cheese. Eventually, ill try other things but these are my favorites. The sandwich is consistently great. Nice portion & the eggs are as fluffy and moist as they look, nice toast on the bread. There is a sauce but I feel like sometimes it could have more (the sandwich still isn't not dry though). Drinks- I've gotten the matcha and Chai lattes. They're okay, not the driving force for me returning regularly. Their coffee & expresso drinks may be better. They have limited options though, so if you're into more "fancy" drinks like a macchiato or pistachio latte then it may not be for you. Overall, very popular cafe place with a good vibe & good pastry compliments. Definitely recommend. I will be interested in trying other locations since this one usually has limited seating, I wonder if some of the others have more space. read more

Loved my mocha drink and my ham/ swiss baguette( probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had). The only thing I would recommend is that they would bring the drinks and food to to the table instead of the patron having to do this. My friend, who has a tremor had a horrible time carrying her drink to the table. I would like to bring my mother who is elderly but would appreciate if they would have someone bring out the drinks. This delightful coffee shop is located in such a lovely neighborhood! We parked a block or so away and passed so many people out walking their dogs, jogging, taking a stroll with friends, etc. We also passed by a house that had 2 little fairy gardens along the fence by the sidewalk. Just a really cute area. The coffee shop has lots of windows, so it's bright and airy inside with lots of great, natural lighting. They have soooo many delicious looking sweet and savory pastries to choose from. I ordered a sweet blueberry + cream pastry and my husband ordered a savory ham and Swiss croissant. I decided on a chai latte with almond milk and my husband got a honey latte. They only have a few latte flavors to choose from, so we think they must be made in-house. Everything was perfect and just what we needed to start our day. I ordered another blueberry pastry and one of the strawberry ones to take home to my sister because they were so pretty and tasty. Our friends each ordered lattes and a cortado, a sticky pecan bun, a savory everything scone, and a slice of banana bread. They loved everything they ordered, too! I feel like it's rare to see a coffee shop so hopping on a dreary midafternoon, but here we have Columbus staple Fox in the Snow doing just that! My partner wanted to come because there's supposed to be a Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit coming out before long (if not already) called Foxes in the Snow. Parking appears to mainly be nearby street parking. There's plenty of seating at this location, but we could only find room at a standing counter. They also have self-serve water stations, which is always handy. I got the tomato pesto baguette sandwich that was really good. It was around $10 and very filling, and not even my expansive appetite could finish it. I also had the New Orleans iced coffee. The barista was explaining the flavor combination and I can't remember what all is in it but it was quite good! My partner got a mocha and a brownie - he's a sweet tooth! I had a sampling of each. The mocha is nicely rich with chocolate and not too much sugar. The brownie is also of the same sentiment, but also fairly buttery. I really loved it! I'm not local to Columbus but I would recommend this place for a pit stop and recharge for sure! read more

I ordered a blueberry scone, the ham and cheese sandwich, the everything vegan croissant, and a chai latte. As always, their chai never disappoints--when I'm in the mood for one, this is my go-to. The ham and cheese sandwich was the unexpected star. I went in thinking it would be a small snack, but it was generously filled and surprisingly satisfying. The sesame seed topping added a nice crunch. I do wish they'd offer to heat it up, but they don't. The everything bagel croissant was flavorful, but just a heads-up: the center tends to be a bit doughy. Not a deal-breaker, just something to expect. The blueberry scone was okay--visually beautiful, but it flakes down the middle and felt a little dry. How does one review the goliath of Fox in the Snow, the pedagogical model for any up-and-coming coffee house in the Parsons-Thurman-High industrial complex? Here I sit, with my Yelp slingshot, trying fruitlessly to say something new about the place that has been discussed ad nauseam. Fox in the Snow has a long history in the Columbus consciousness--my mother has taken me here since I was young, and still I find myself returning. Perhaps there's something to that? Is longevity a metric of quality? The Thurman location isn't as good as the location on 4th Street, but I also am here on a Sunday afternoon, so maybe that is playing a role. I adore the mochas here, and my accomplice waxed rhapsodic to me about the New Orleans iced coffee: "A taste of the South this far up North is rarely executed at this caliber." The sandwiches are obviously iconic--even if you don't usually gravitate toward breakfast fare, I implore you to give it a try as a Columbus local. Big fan of Fox in the Snow over here. While on a road trip to PA this past weekend, we went out of our way to make a pastry pit stop. I wanted to check out their newer location in the German village. The only reason I didn't give this experience five stars was the customer service was surprisingly off- it seemed like their had some newer staff working which I totally get but we had to pull teeth to get help and ask for descriptions of what a few of the items were. Not typical for Fox in the Snow from my past memories. The strawberry cream danish was incredible- I imagine it was seasonal so don't miss out. We also had two of the New Orleans style chicory coffees. They weren't my jam but it was good to try something new. The space offers a ton of natural light and seating. read more
