Chocolate frosting icing and powdered sugar and sugar donuts

I have been to the other location on Livingston Avenue which was very small. The new Gahanna location is much bigger and has more parking in it too. They still have the grave donuts and cakes and excellent service from the staff. I will be going back to Resch's Bakery soon for any cakes, donuts, and yummy desserts.

When a Columbus classic like Resch's Bakery opens a new spot, you just have to check it out -- and that's exactly what I did. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how bright and colorful the new location is. The big mural of donuts splashed across the wall sets a cheerful tone right away, and the place was buzzing with customers -- always a good sign. The selection wasn't as big as what you'd find at their original bakery -- mostly donuts, a few cakes, some rolls, and cookies -- but what they had looked fresh and inviting. I went with a cake donut with white icing, a long john, and two glazed donuts. Every one of them was soft, fresh, and packed with that signature Resch's flavor that keeps people coming back. The staff was friendly and helpful, even with the steady line of people coming through. It's clear word has gotten out about this new spot. Overall, the new Resch's location feels like a fresh start for an old favorite -- smaller selection for now, but plenty of promise. If the crowds are any clue, this new chapter for Resch's is off to a pretty sweet start.

I ordered a small german chocolate cake from here and it taste good however, this was NOT a German chocolate cake. It was a dark chocolate cake with German chocolate frosting on the top of the cake only. The layers of cake did not have German chocolate frosting in between them. I would definitely not recommend this if you're looking for an authentic German chocolate cake. I placed a pick up order and that process was easy. I placed the order over the phone and they did require payment in full. The pickup process was pretty simple they had a sign directing you where to you. However the cake was $48 and it was not a real German Chocolate Cake and that was disappointing

For delectable, melt-in-your-mouth glazed doughnuts, this establishment consistently delivers an exceptional experience.

When you walk on the door, make sure you get a number so you can be called up to the counter to get your sweets. We came in on a late Saturday morning around 10am and they still had their donut case filled full to serve everyone. Not overly sweet, nice and soft with a pillowy texture. The donuts are divine. They also make cakes...very good cakes. My kids actually request their cakes for their birthdays.

Location/Bakery; It appears I came to the right spot, as the line to get a parking spot and the amount of people that were waiting to order. The Bakery is filled with baked goodness as far as an eye can see. Food; On this day I got donuts for Easter breakfast and every single one was fresh and delicious. Also, got the cutest Easter Bunny cake that was a hit at the Family Easter meal. Service; I was worried with the amount of people I saw, but the service was on the spot and got everyone in and out and very friendly with smiles.

First time at the new location I must say the space is bigger than the previous location. More room to stand, but you better get there early because they pretty much sale out everyday. I learned the hard way I went one day late and was told they were sold out. The lines are long but I must say they get the line moving pretty fast. They use a number system so when u go in you would pull a number and wait for that number to be called. New location but still haven't missed a beat as far as quality.

A local bakery that has been around for decades. Its a definite staple of the east side. Their coconut macroons are to die for which is what I came in to get. I wended up adding a pumpkin cake donut.... Oh, I didn't not need to know about those.... Now addicted and have been dreaming of another one. Highly recommend both Service is always great. They have multiple check out areas and the shop is always clean with various baked goods in a grab and buy area.

Resch's Bakery is one of my favorite places to stop by when I come to visit Columbus. When you come in you grab a number, it's always clean, they take customers typically fast, the music is never too loud and everyone is always nice. Typically, I would get a dozen of Glazed Donuts but today I tried their Cinnamon Rolls and I fell in love! They were making them fresh so I did decide to wait the 10 minutes for them to finish baking. Melissa was kind enough to bring them out to me in the car. I also ordered a dozen chocolate donuts, a dozen glazed donuts and some raspberry filled donuts. Their parking lot is fairly big which makes for an easy in and out experience.

Great service and delicious treats! Remeber to grab a ticket as soon as you walk in for service. I swear I reviewed Resch's when I first discovered it so not sure what happened there but absolutely recommend. The inside smells so good and tons of fresh packaged options that change through the year. Love this place for cupcakes and donuts. This visit was for cucakes and an impulse pick up of some Blondie bites. I saw some delicious giant pretzels and some new cookies that caught my attention but did pretty good on self control. Go check them out. I would say It's worth the trip even if it's a bit of a drive for you.

Heard about this place for eons but we finally decided to go and wasn't disappointed. The selection here is larger than what you'd expect. It seems that they've got a larger selection than major chains and semi local chains like Jolly Pirate etc. They crank out so many donuts that they don't taste stale like they've been sitting all morning, THEY STILL TASTED FRESH! Thumbs up!

First time at the new location I wished they still sold individually brownies with nuts. I always grab a slice of cake but didn't like the icing I'm used to it being more filling. The donuts however are still fresh and amazing today got the giant glazed donut and a bunch of goodies.

A fun outing to Bexley today before the big storm. First stop, Resch's Bakery for donuts and sticks. Incredible donuts on the east side. We ordered a full complement of pastries: Apricot, strawberry, & blueberry danishes, sugar donut, cinnamon roll, custard filled chocolate glazed, apple fritter, apple walnut rugelach, glazed French crawler, and a few of "the stick". The donuts were REALLY good! We were there after lunch but it was still well stocked and was steady busy. The service is friendly and efficient (take a number) and the atmosphere is simple, but warm. It might seem pricier than some places but the quality is top-notch.

It's in hidden in the plaza so you won't necessarily see it off the Main Street. Once you're inside it has a warm friendly vibe. You get to see the donut making first hand since it's an open kitchen. The menu has many created flavors for the chocolate , fruity, or seasonal lover. Not finding something you like, you can make your own. Think of Cold Stone but for donuts. I decided to go with a few of the created flavors, Honey Blue, Raspberry Beret, and the Mitch. They came piping hot out and were glazed and topped right in front of me. It was great but the icing didn't have a chance to set fully because the donut was so hot. I suggest to ask if you can have them wait a minute or two before putting on the glaze I love the story behind explaining who Donna is. I love learning the back story of any business. I will definitely be back to try other flavor combinations.

I really wanted to like Donna's Delicious Dozen given the great ratings and how much I love donuts,…read moreespecially mini donuts. Unfortunately, I have to say my experience was not the best. We came here on father's day as this location is quite far from us as we live on the West side of Columbus. While I had checked the website to ensure they were open before we drove to the store, upon arrival, they had posted a sign that they weren't taking walk-ins due to the online order volume they had. Still, we had driven all this way and they said we could still order online, so I did, expecting a much longer wait than usual. We ordered 6 donuts and a coffee and settled in to wait. The seating area has some basic tables and chairs and booths along the wall. The interior is very light and colorful, but I would still say this is likely more a place designed for pick up as the seating is more of an afterthought. I did appreciate that they noticed us waiting and tried to get us our order quickly - so the service is friendly when they have the help. As you can tell from the pictures people have posted, the donuts are presented quite nicely. They also were a bit bigger than I expected as I was expecting mini donuts and find these are smaller than a full sized donut, but larger than a mini-donut. Unfortunately, I feel the donuts may have been cooked in too hot of oil as they crumbled quite a bit with the outside separating from the interior. It was a bit oily and then the sweet toppings didn't quite adhere to the donut and made the flavor a bit off - so it wasn't quite there for me. I hope that this may be different experience than what others may have had given their high order volume and what I can imagine was a day they were short staffed being father's day, but I don't think I'll be making the trip out to visit this location again.

Everything looked so good but we limited ourselves to one pastry each. Blueberry Gallete and Everything Danish were the winners. Great choices! The chive cream cheese on top was so great I'm glad there was more than I would normally want. Drinks were good but took longer than we had hoped. There was only 1 barista but she was working hard with all the orders coming in. I enjoyed the latte art but sadly we got cold drinks. I enjoyed the offered seasonal flavors such as Gingerbread. I did notice that matcha was sitting in a carafe ready to go if someone was ready to order. Not sure how I feel about that as it can get clumpy waiting around. Seating can be a bit tough during peak hours. There are two communal type tables in the middle which are nice for larger groups. Outdoor patio seating as well but not on these colder winter days. Team was super friendly! Will come back again and actually enjoy a coffee and pastry there. Tip: Blueberry Gallete is soo flaky and buttery do not eat it in the car. lol. I got three huge flakes on my sweater as I took a bite. Well worth it.
