I was previously seeing Dr. Higgins before he retired, and Aarisha Dental took on his patients seamlessly. They were able to see both me and my daughter for her very first dental visit, and the entire staff was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. This place is great! I take my kids here every 6 months and they are just so kind and considerate to my family. My son is 5yrs old and my daughter is 3yrs old. They are so patient with them. They explain everything they're doing and don't force anything. I'm so thankful that they are leaving a positive experience for my kids with the dentist. They are all so kind. The lady in the front desk is so informative and helpful to the patients. I see her go over documents, explain procedures in detail and goes over all your options. Been coming here for years and now I'm at the point where my jaw is swollen and my wisdom tooth needs to be pulled and been trying to set an appointment since November 2022. No one has scheduled me and I keep getting the runaround. It took some searching to find an affordable place in Fremont to get braces for my son. I just so happened to come across Dr Jolly Shah in an add..it was a true blessing! She gave us an unbeatable price, worked with us on payments. I had to get a root canal...she saw me right away. The staff are the nicest and most humble which is awesome when you have young kids. She contributes to local children organizations which give the since of community which I love. Our entire family swiched from western dental to Dr Jolly Shah and will never look back!! Where do I start! After 12 years with a great dentist in Cupertino, I switched to Dr. Shah since both my home and job moved to East Bay. Man, was I in for a bag of hurt! After cleaning and deep cleaning and X-Rays, Dr. Shah suggested I get a filling redone. The filling was less than an year old and was verified by my previous dentist in August. I was surprised but still said ok for the filling. I mean what could go wrong I thought. About a couple of minutes of removing the old filling and filing my tooth, Dr. Shah said she was seeing nerves already and I will need a root canal. I was surprised since that's something a dentist can see in an X-ray. The filling was done in about 10 minutes time. The pain started the same day. Shooting sharp pain around that tooth and nearby areas. On the third day, I called the office and the front desk person said it takes 1-2 weeks for fillings to settle down! The pain got worse and I had to start taking pain killers to sleep through the night. A week after, the pain got worse. I called the doctor again. The front desk person gave me an appointment the same day; but before I could go there, I got a call back where the front desk person said I need a root canal and the endodontist had an appointment 3 weeks from then! Till that point, I was prescribed 800mg of ibuprofen and 500mg penicillin. Unable to manage the pain, I'm on both the medicines now. My previous dentist was kind enough to see me on a Sunday (today). We compared the X-rays from August to those the dentist took today. The filling was much smaller in August with no signs of a cavity in the X-ray. Today, the filling seems much bigger and deeper and is close to touching the nerves. The rationale for redoing the filling is unclear; other than the fact that I'm a dumb idiot who agreed to get it done. I'm going to see an endodontist next - someone who will see me soon instead of making me wait 3 weeks. I'm sad and I feel sorry for the day I made my first visit to Dr. Shah. I will probably lose a tooth and a bunch of $$ for that mistake, in addition to trashing my liver with the strong medicines. read more

Dr Jolly Shah is a very efficient doctor with a lot of concern for her patients. She is extremely accommodative, friendly and explains all the details of the issue.She is very committed to her profession and also a very pleasant and approachable doctor. For example, recently I had a toothache during a weekend, I called Dr  Shah, she immediately responded and agreed to see me even though their office was closed (it was a long weekend). I visited this place to check in and make an appointment since I attend to Ohlone college, across the street. Place feels very homeei. Feels great to be in a great dental office where the staff where very sweet and very comforting due that I don't like going to doctors appointment. I recommend this office and Dr. Shah. The doctor is money hungry and very unetical to say the least. When on dental PPO I did several crowns in May I believe. She complained loudly that PPO pays very little and she is going to drop it. Anyway the crown work neeed some follow-up but i n general was acceptable. Then I got a new job, new dental plan. One of the crowns came loose when I was flossing. I called the office and went to re-attach the crown. I specifically asked if she would charge for the work and the answer was no, however not from the doctor personally, but from the oral hygeinist. I believed because my previous dentist guaranteed such fork for a couple of years. I did cleaning and limited oral exam. She wanted to do full mouth X-ray even though she did it in May, probably because new plan would pay for it. I politely declined. Anyway during the exam the doctor and the assistant muttered something like crown, root canal etc like I was not even there. Finally the verdict - a filling and a crown. I was kind of surprised. They scheduled a visit in a week and sent estimates to my dental plan. I changed my mind and cancelled the appointment since I decided to consult with my previous dentist. Lo and behold, I see $200 charge for reattaching the crown. Surprised I called the office and Dr. Shah in extremely unhappy voice told me that she charges for whatever work she does, there is no guarantee etc. When I asked if she would charge to reset a crown she did if it came off the next day she hung up on me. read more

I can't believe she got 5 star reviews. Must be defintely from her friends. I have never seen any doctor whose is this rude to her patients. You can't tell in the first appt as she wants you to come back. But if you keep going to her you will realize that she has zero patience, extremely rude and criticizes the patients alot. She is very greedy as well, she is more interested in the payments rather than the service. Doesn't not do a good job and when complained she blames the patients for not doing it right, She thinks the patients are ignorant and unaware. Very bossy as well. The office staff is not responsive at all and there is zero communication between the doctor and the staff. The doctor doesn't know what the staff is saying to the patients. This is my first ever review on yelp, she inspired me to get in here and write. I would never go to her and highly recommend others not to go there. I agree with the other review... she is only good the first time around. She talks to you really nice the first time. She then made me a second appointment and said I had to pay a large co-pay for some cleaning. I then had called back to clarify a few items listed and left 6 messages for her and no one called back till the day of the Appt. I was then told that she will not come to the phone and that I can only talk to the Staff !! I had specifically asked that I talk to the doctor as I was not comfortable talking about it to the staff but they told me that the only way I can talk to her is to drive there !! Later I got a call and the staff told me that they spoke to Dr Jolly and she said that it was up to me if I wanted to come to her facility or not else I should cancel the appt !!! Now that is what I call the defination of "RUDENESS' !! What will it COST to talk to your PATIENT !! There are so many other Doctors that would love to talk to their patitents. I have had the appointment scheduled at 9 am, but when I arrived to the office, the door was locked. I waited for 10 minutes when finally one of the staff members showed up. Without any apology she said that she did not know where the doctor was and that was not her problem that the office was still closed when I arrived. It was very rude and unprofessional. I am very very disappointed in the care I received by Dr. Shaw. I had a temporary crown inserted (by the DENTAL HYGIENIST!!!), which was not cemented down Before leaving the office I indicated, that there was a gap in the back of the molar, where the temp. crown did not reach all the way to the gum line (part of the inner tooth being exposed), I was told twice not to worry. Several days later, part of the temp. crown broke off. Numerous calls were not returned. 5 days later, the entire crown came off. Again my calls were not returned. I have been with a broken crown for 4 days followed by 3 days without a crown altogether, the root of the tooth being exposed during all this time The procedure cost $1001 and my portion was $435.00, which I paid with a credit card as I was told to do. My insurance coverage ran out after their contribution of about $600.00, and I won't have any coverage until next year. I also was offended by Dr. Shaw's condescending attitude. I was startled when she suddenly spoke behind the dental chair She did not introduce herself or gave any explanation what she was about to do. During the entire procedure (to fill a cavity before temp. crown placement), she conducted a private conversation with her assistant only to interrupt it by rudely asking to keep my mouth open or not to be so nervous.
