I'm always anxious about dental appointments, but my experience at NewGen Dental was truly wonderful. The staff and Dr. Liane were friendly and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. I usually dread X-rays, but they made them as comfortable as possible with very little discomfort. Dr. Liane explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and was very gentle during the cleaning. They also checked in with me regularly to make sure I was okay. I referred my wife to this place and from her experience as first time patient, the service went downhill a lot. The dentist never identified herself after she came in and looked at the record. She should had known it is a new patient or not and give proper introduction. After that, she spoke in English and assistant just promptly translated to Vietnamese. Please do not assume your patients do not speak English and if the patients need translation, they will ask. Got out of the office, my wife still not know what is the name of the dentist, as this place has many. For that aspect, the service is unprofessional. This isn't my primary dentist but I thought I should give this place a shout out as they were super reliable and gave me excellent service for a last minute appointment that I booked. I was having really bad tooth aches a couple weeks back and every place I called didn't have any availability until a month out. I was miserable until I walked by this place getting Nick the Greek and figured it was worth it to ask. Low and behold, they were able to squeeze me in the next day!! If you choose this place, please ONLY let Dr Thao or Dr Tai do the work, otherwise, you may want to avoid this place. I had an annual tooth check here in 2021 and was told I had to do 3 fillings so I let them do the filling for me. But apparently, they had to redo the work for ALL of the 3 teeth because I was still in great pain after a few weeks. TWO of the 3 teeth ended up in root canal because the nerve were damaged through their filling work. What scared me most is that doctor doesn't seem to able to read the X-ray or properly evaluate the solution. Before she did the filling, she only said that they were very small cavities, without knowing that there was an old deep filling on that tooth. I found that out during the procedure asking her why it took so long, then she admit that she did not know there was an old deep filling. It was a very terrible experience for me. The back and forth corrective work wasted me 3 months and I was in pain post their work for around 4 months and had to spend over one thousand dollars for the root canal. read more

Made the change to Newgen on a whim as it was close to my house. It as been an incredible experience every time. My youngest son has always been terrified of the dentist and no matter where we've gone it's never worked out. Dr. Thao and Dr. Tai have been nothing short of amazing!!! My appointment was at 10, but wasn't called in until 10.30 which is ok and understandable. But when i was seated inside around 10.35 no one showed up (Doctor) until 11 AM and no one even came and told that Doctor was running late or apologized. I had a real bad experience. I hate going to the dentist. The last one I went to nagged on and on about how much I needed to floss during our appointment. I heard you the first ten times, you don't have to make me feel worse about my teeth. I made an appointment with Thao after my GFs first great experience. They were able to get me in the same day! Every one in the office was extremely friendly and helpful. Thao clearned my teeth and only mentioned once that I needed to floss more (I know, I have a flossing problem). This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the experience. They had a cool aquarium in the lobby with cute fishies. Both dentists were nice and very professional. They were even showing me all of my cavities through the x-rays, even the TINY ONES! The x-rays were really clear. They even used this cool little gadget to scan your teeth and identifies your cavities with red dots. They had good pricing for their treatment plans and it certainly makes it affordable when you're a college student . 10/10 would highly recommend this office! read more

Dr. Thao Nguyen was very nice and all, but I got a very bad feeling the practice here at Newgen Dental. When I went in to see her, it was because I needed to get a crown put on one of my molars. While I was there, they told me that I needed to have 6 cavities filled. This was strange in itself because I had just been to my old dentist, back in Chicago, less than 6 months before that, and he had told me that the small spots on my teeth were not anywhere close to being bad enough to fill the cavity. But the thing that really made me not trust this practice was that they have this weird membership plan that they give out for free to their patients who have insurance. This plan basically makes it cost the patient nothing or near nothing for the fillings. To me, this sounded like a way for the practice to convince patients to get unnecessary work done because its free, just so the practice can collect payment from the insurance company. I decided to get another opinion from another dentist in the area, and he confirmed that my teeth absolutely did not need any cavities filled. He also made a point to stress the fact that NOTHING is as strong as your original tooth. So if you don't need to have work done, IT SHOULD NOT BE DONE. Needless to say, I did not go back to Thao's practice to have my crown put in and I definitely did not go back to get those six unnecessary cavities filled. I obviously cannot be sure if this is what they are doing, but if it is, this is ENTIRELY UNETHICAL and probably considered INSURANCE FRAUD of some sort. I would not recommend anyone going to this dentist, or to any dentist associated with her practice. read more

It's horrible.) and Dr. LeVan and his assistant Stella took care of me so well. They were very friendly and informative about my teeth. NewGen Dental is great! It's all the way across town, but it's definitely worth the trek. The entire staff is so friendly, and they always remember me when I come in for my appointments. The office is super clean, and the appointment rooms (for lack of a better term?) are super lush - very comfortable chairs, TVs with access to Netflix and YouTube! I have truly never had a bad experience before - I thought one of my fillings had fallen out once (it hadn't), but they were able to schedule me for an emergency appointment and check things out with zero hassle. They are very friendly and helpful to answer any questions, concerns that I have in order to transfer from the Old Dentist to the New Dentist. In my case, I have a lot of concerns about the coverage between the Insurance and my own budget. Dr. Thao Nguyen was very informative and willing to work around my Budget and the Insurance Co. She made us feel very comfortable and under care of an Excellent Dentists. Most of the Dentists out there just like to do very little works for their patients, but over billing to the Insurance Company, careless, not responsible, etc.....
