Today 11/13/24, I went to their office for tooth pain. I don't have insurance, they took 2 X ray for painful tooth, dentist Hui assessed the painful tooth for 1 minute, then left to check x ray, then returned to tell me she will refer me to another endodontics, she didn't explain the x ray , I told them I am RN, she stated my tooth may not need root canal. The total time she spent with me was less than 4 minutes. The front desk provided me a blurry copy of x ray. After I asked, they sent me the copy via email which is clear. I paid $88 for 2 x ray and less than 4 minutes dentist Hui spent with me. I gave them one star. read more

I've been going to Mai Dental Specialist with my family since I was in high school in the 90s. They have taken great care of my dental health. Now I have a family of my own, and Mai Dental Specialist continues to care for us all. My kids are not fearful of going to dentist because Dr. Hui and Dr. Fox have been consistently gentle and keep them distracted during procedures. To me and my husband, they have been informative and personable, kindly answering all of our questions. Every time we visit, they and the entire office staff treat us as old friends. We recently moved away from the Bay Area, but continue to get our dental care here because it is well worth the trip. Also, they do all that they can to accommodate us, often scheduling all of our dental appointments on the same day when possible, knowing that we come from far away.
