My bestie brought me here as I had never been. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a very cute winery with an amazing, and attentive staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a lunch reservation, so I didn't experience the bar area setup for tastings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although the dining area is small, it was setup very well to host quite a few couples and groups of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Maja, was absolutely wonderful! Her suggestions were on point, and it was very easy to engage in conversation with her. She recommended the meatballs for us as an appetizer, and there was zero regret. The meatballs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was -chefs kiss- I scooped up and ate the sauce that was left over it was that good. Stop judging me.

This was our first time at Jolo Winery and having dinner there. We had several recommendations and came here with some friends who had previously been here. From the start, we could tell it was going to be a good evening, although we wish we had opted for seating outside, you can never tell what the weather is going to be in North Carolina, so we had reservations for inside seating. We started with some hummus, which was fresh and over the top delicious. They only brought a few veggies with it, so we had to ask our server, Nikki, for some crusty bread. We got a bottle of the Golden Hallows white blend that was a great compliment to the grouper I ordered, as well as the blackened salmon my wife ordered. I must say though, the blackened salmon was more of a grill than blackened for my wife's dish. She also was not thrilled with the rice that came as a side although I thought it was decent. My grouper was excellently seasoned with some capers to give the additional tang that makes a good fish dish a great dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wine, surroundings, and service were all top-notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Some good friends invited us out to finally try this place so this was a nice treat to try this beautiful winery restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's absolutely enchanting. Every room is beautiful. Chandeliers are everywhere and there are lit candles on each table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely come here for a special occasion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have an extensive menu and of course their wine is lovely. We got the hummus plate for appetizer and you can tell it was made from scratch. So good ! It had chopped up olives and onions and they served it with sliced carrots and celery and our waitress was kind enough to notice we didn't have crustinis so she brought a small bowl to us. I went for the blackened salmon and I was surprised that it didn't seem like a blackened entree to me, but..it was moist and delicious. The veggies were scorched a little by fire in a good way..but not very tender. I did enjoy my salmon though and would try a different dish when I'm back. My husband ordered the grouper so he felt the Golden Hallows white would pair well and he was right!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Jolo is a spacious winery with plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is indoor & outdoor seating with dining options. Some of the outdoor seating is covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came for a wine pick up party which included lunch options such as ham, Mac & cheese, coleslaw with raisins, rolls, cake, greens, and wine. The rolls weren't soft. The majority of the food was ok. We also ordered a mahi burger with fries. The fish was overcooked, bland, and not flavorful & the fries were not hot. One member of our group told our server about our fries & she was apologetic & more fries were brought out but they were overcooked. You do get a discount off of the wine if you are a wine club member. You also get an option of bringing guests to the pickup party. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the wines that I got the opportunity to taste & the atmosphere of the winery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was also good. The food was mediocre.

A very lovely spot for good food and impressive wine. Service is always top notch. Reservations are suggested. If you enjoy their wines, a wine club membership is the way to go.

I got the opportunity to visit JOLO Winery and Vineyards with End Posts Restaurant in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. This location is at the foot of Pilot Mountain. The look of it is enchanting and the ambiance is a jewel! In arriving we were greeted by Jerry Ann, who introduced the different wines based on our preference. She was extremely knowledgeable In discussing the history and wine process. Kind, courteous, professional and accommodating to our needs. I enjoyed sampling the many wines, they all had distinct notes. My favorite is JOLO Pink. This wine has essence of strawberry, melon, white flowers and citrus. It has an amazing taste! Omg, the food was delicious. Everything was rich and indulgent! I had the Herb Crusted Grouper with smoked gouda cheese polenta, and roasted vegetables. This was so good, it had me craving more! We each had exquisite dishes, too many to name but they were scrumptious! I met Levi, who is the Vice President of JOLO BRANDS Experience. This gentleman is well educated, and full of life in sharing the history and experiences of the vineyard. It was truly a delight in having the opportunity of speaking with him. He shared a wealth of information that was astonishing. Kudos to this guy!!! To all the wine lovers, please check out this vineyard along with Rayson Vineyard & Winery. Tell them Kim sent you:) You will adore this place!

The food was very very good and fresh! The portions were also pretty good! The wine is unique and tasty! I especially enjoyed the wine tasting ans thought it was very much worth the money! The service was good and helpful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice and peaceful! It is a bit elegant but not to stuffy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Our server, Victoria, was fabulous. She gave us great recommendations, was efficient without being overbearing, and importantly was very friendly. She recommended the Eggplant, which I had it was wonderful. My wife had the beef bourgeon, which she thought was outstanding. Our friends had the grouper and pork chop that they said was outstanding. Again, as a result of Victoria's recommendation we are joining the Wine Club at the highest level. The drive up to the winery is beautiful but the view from the restaurant is spectacular.

We celebrated a friend's 31st birthday and I was so impressed by the view, staff, & taste! The atmosphere was inviting and so charming along with excellent food options and flavors! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu had too many good options it was nice to narrow it down. I enjoyed the view even if it started to rain, we were covered by the pergolas set up along their patio! What a great experience here at Jolo!

Finally came out to visit Jolo with the ladies. Our theme for brunch: Clueless, Tweed & Pearls. Lol We were the only ones "dressed up". Jolo is a beautiful winery. We had reservations for brunch then a wine tasting after. The service was good, everyone greeted us and the food came out fairly quick. We ordered the crab dip for the table which I suggest everyone orders it's so good creamy and has a lot of lumps of crab. My eggs Benedict was perfect! The only thing that was lacking was the flavor in the potatoes. I really wish they seasoned them, but I had ketchup so that helped. The ladies I went with had issues with their food and the main complaint was lack of flavor. One of my friends asked for cheese in the eggs, when it came to the table it was shredded cheese sitting on top of eggs, not melted, just sitting there. The wine tasting was great! I love all their red wines! So good! We also ordered a few desserts. All were really tasty! The limoncello cake was divine! My fave! We also ordered the bread pudding and crème brûlée. Overall it was a fun brunch with the ladies. I'd come back for another tasting and that cake!

We went in March and had a wine tasting experience with Samira, followed by lunch in the restaurant. Samira is amazing! She is knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and willing to have a nice conversation while doing our tasting along with another couple beside us. We loved all the wines we tasted, especially the sweet vermouth which was a surprise. We immediately joined the Enthusiast wine club. We took home 3 bottles of wine that day. After our tasting, which took about an hour, we had a reservation for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated inside the restaurant in front of a large window with a great view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and Steak Diane. We also recommend the Tuna Carpacio appetizer and the goat cheese appetizer. We met the owners that day and have seen JW a couple times at our subsequent visits. We have also visited their sister winery, Rayson, and had a lovely time there as well. Nice people and good food enhanced our experience on my husband's birthday. Levi is another outstanding member of their team. We love both wineries and the staff is just fantastic at both!

This was a fantastic day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views are just amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was just fantastic. The service was good. We had the scallops, Blackened salmon, grouper and the Medallion Diane, crab dip, Thai shrimp, oysters. Plus various glasses of wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It just feels like a restaurant on a hill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd appreciate the opportunity to walk around the vineyards vs having to take what could be a 2 hour tour on a bus. I was told that the terrain isn't designed to walk. A little disappointed as I wanted to take the fantastic glass of wine and sit in the sun as I walked around the property, but was unable to do that.

I came to meet friends with whom we will continue on to a local farm stay for the weekend. We sat outside on one of their covered patios. We packed a lunch to have with a glass of their wine. The tasting room looks like a barn and is very welcoming inside. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The warm weather had me wanting a white wine with my lunch. I chose their pinot gris. It has a crisp taste with notes of citrus. On my first visit I had a flight of all their offerings. My favorites are the Sweet Pea white blend and the Franc the Tank red blend. The old tobacco barn across from the tasting room offers another space to hang out and enjoy the view. There is also an accommodation below that makes for a unique holiday experience.
