Omg, this is one of the most hospitality locations I have visited:) The atmosphere and customer service is so generous.It honestly seems perfect.The wines are great and well explained during each pour during the wine tasting. This was a new selection of wines from my last visit, and they tasted remarkable!Their food is scrumptious. This place will always be one of my first visited locations when it comes to taking friends and family.to introduce them to wine, food and travel.  Our wine guide, Caitlin, was very professional and knowledgeable. The vineyard was lovely and the building was cozy and welcoming with plenty of room to sit both inside and out. The gentleman behind the bar was helpful and friendly. We purchased a bottle of the Franc The Tank Blueberry - a sweet and tangy cabernet that had our tastebuds singing. The tasting room looks like a barn and is very welcoming inside. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The warm weather had me wanting a white wine with my lunch. I chose their pinot gris. It has a crisp taste with notes of citrus. On my first visit I had a flight of all their offerings. My favorites are the Sweet Pea white blend and the Franc the Tank red blend. The old tobacco barn across from the tasting room offers another space to hang out and enjoy the view. There is also an accommodation below that makes for a unique holiday experience.

We visited Iron Heart Winery and had the most amazing experience!…read more Our beautiful hostess Deidra, poured some outstanding bourbon and several excellent wines during our tasting. She shared so many fascinating details about the winery, as well The Salty Stash Distillery located about 20 minutes away. We spent the day surrounded by the stunning scenery of beautiful Virginia and loved hearing about the history of both establishments. My only disappointment of the day was they were out of merchandise featuring the Iron Heart logo which I'm absolutely obsessed with! The Salty Stash logo is pretty cool too; we learned it's designed as half the owner, Adam's face, and half of his late father's which makes it all the more meaningful. If you're ever in the area, Iron Heart Winery is a MUST! You won't be disappointed! We will be back every year!
