The tasting room looks like a barn and is very welcoming inside. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The warm weather had me wanting a white wine with my lunch. I chose their pinot gris. It has a crisp taste with notes of citrus. On my first visit I had a flight of all their offerings. My favorites are the Sweet Pea white blend and the Franc the Tank red blend. The old tobacco barn across from the tasting room offers another space to hang out and enjoy the view. There is also an accommodation below that makes for a unique holiday experience.

We visited Iron Heart Winery and had the most amazing experience!…read more Our beautiful hostess Deidra, poured some outstanding bourbon and several excellent wines during our tasting. She shared so many fascinating details about the winery, as well The Salty Stash Distillery located about 20 minutes away. We spent the day surrounded by the stunning scenery of beautiful Virginia and loved hearing about the history of both establishments. My only disappointment of the day was they were out of merchandise featuring the Iron Heart logo which I'm absolutely obsessed with! The Salty Stash logo is pretty cool too; we learned it's designed as half the owner, Adam's face, and half of his late father's which makes it all the more meaningful. If you're ever in the area, Iron Heart Winery is a MUST! You won't be disappointed! We will be back every year! Shout out to Jazzie as well who wasn't our hostess but was so much fun and made our day enjoyable. My apologies for any misspelled names. Thank you for making our day so wonderful!
