Coming back from a long road trip and heading home I swung by Jolts & Juice one morning. It's in downtown Ontario, Oregon and it's a relatively peaceful location and parking is breeze to park near the shop. The Iced Vanilla Latte I had I really enjoyed and I found that it was a nice pick me up of caffeine and tasty. The pastry I had was great and it was so nice to just sit and chill, looking out the front window into the street. Apparently I was in such "chill" mode I forgot to take pictures of my items for my review but take my word for it... it's a worthy stop and good place to rejuvenate yourself in downtown Ontario. read more

It's been quite awhile since I've actually been here, but Henry's, AKA, Jolts n Juice, serves up a very decent cup of Java. This location is quite unique due to its interior decor and provides a comfortable place to sit and mingle with family or friends. Their take home coffee beans are well worth buying as well. The shop in Caldwell is my normal spot since it's much closer for me and where I normally buy my fix! read more

Stopped by on a road trip and all we can say is WOW! Incredibly fresh and flavorful options for food (fresh baked bread!) & the coffee was brewed perfectly. Might I add the pistachio cold brew was flavored perfectly, not too sweet and strong without being overwhelmingly bitter. The girls were helpful and friendly as well. There's nothing I don't love about this place. The people, the coffee and the atmosphere are all wondeful. Jolt's is so good for Ontario. It provides a location for people to meet with friends and enjoy a nice latte. There really is nowhere I'd rather spend my Sunday mornings in Ontario. First all the coffee is spectacular!! I have yet to receive a bad product from Jolt's. I like my coffee dark and strong, no matter what's in it, the coffee taste has got to near overwhelming. They know how to make it right. Second, the food is wonderful as well. My personal favorite is the Hubcap Panini, a wondeful combination of turkey, pesto, smoked gouda, lettuce, bacon and creamy avocado. Their house made mac and cheese slaps like no other, and also gives a satisfying cheese pull. Their smoothies are blending with fresh ingredients and aren't overly sweetened. Purple Panda (apple juice, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and banana) is the best one. You'll want the larger size! I've missed this place incredibly since I've moved to Boise. While I still do stop at their marketplace place location occasionally I don't have the time to come to this one anymore but I do enjoy reflecting on memories made here with families and friends alike. read more

We haz been here before and had a great experience today that changed. We ordered a latte and a smoothie and then we waited, and waited, and waited. My husband's coffee finally came out 15 minutes after we ordered and they said the smoothie would be coming. Waited an additional 10 minutes and they then informed us they were out of the ingredients. Normally I wouldn't be so irritated but 15 of the almost 30 minutes we waited we watched the two batistas chatting it up in the back instead of working. Not sure how you don't know what you do and don't have on hand unless someone didn't do inventory. Also it was pretty dead inside the shop so no excuse on how long it took. Coffee was subpar. This place is hit or miss for me. Some days I get good service and some days not so much. Even when ordering food it's not consistent. The food is a little on the expensive side so for me it's kind of a gamble when ordering food. My coworkers and I used to order from there a lot and because of the inconsistencies we stopped going so much. We've tried it again a handful of times recently and it's still mediocre. They had an employee, Ashlynn, who was super sweet and always trying to make sure we got what we wanted but she isn't there anymore. She would walk by and see five drinks on the counter and offer a drink carrier even when the employees putting out the drinks didn't care. If she handed over a sunrise toast and it was smeared on the container like someone dropped it she'd ask if we wanted it remade. Now if something is amiss and I ask for a correction they act like you're inconveniencing them. Some of these food items aren't available at other locations so it's kind of sad but I'd a rather go without it than worry about wasting money on bad food or getting bad service. On a positive note..... The ambiance is really nice after the rebrand, the parking is on the street and not far from the door, and the bakery items are good. read more

Great find while passing through! Good vibe and decor, lots of different choices (espresso, beer, sandos, smoothies, baked goods) and room to hang out if you want to. They had a serious espresso maker set up so if I had ordered an espresso drink I'm sure it would have been good quality. Instead, I had a smoothie and a lemon bar - both tasty. Wow. Love it here. The Service was spot on. We ordered our Coffees. My Brother wanted something Peanut Butter and got what he called a great coffee. I chose a cappuccino . The Barista asked me if I wanted my cappuccino wet or dry? I didn't know what that meant and asked . It's simply do you want less or more foam . I chose wet. Our coffee came out in a timely fashion and we soon discovered that we were also hungry. My brother chose the ham quiche and I couldn't resist so I ordered the last slice. The ham quiche was pretty darn good but then my brother decided to get the vegetable quiche. I'm glad I tasted it, it was absolutely to die for! The inside is all refurbished materials, some of it from the building itself. Kind of gives it a rustic steampunk feel. For instance, the Sink in the Bathroom made from an old Ford Pickup Truck Wheel Well and part of the Truck Bed. Or The Mannequin up in the rafters staring you down while you order. lol. Yes, it startled me even though I had already been told about this. Find your way Upstairs. Follow the Smell of Roasting Coffee Beans to an oasis of seating. I was a little late for the roasting. By the time I found this area The Roasting was over. But the gentleman bagging up the beans was kind and talked to me about what brought me here. I said we're visiting family for the holidays and that we were from Fairview Oregon. The man knew exactly where that was. Told me he was from Gresham near where I live. I was impressed. Just added more to this little towns charm. I'm sure the other coffee shops have a lot to offer but I found our new spot here and I know the other shops had better be trying at least. Before they get a Jolt of reality. The only sad part was the tap house. They used to have an Artisanal Brewery here but the brewmaster left and now they sell other people's beer on tap. Not bad but.... I did not get beer. They had nothing I can't get at 7-11 by my place. read more

Visiting family in Idaho and surveying the farmland for coffee shops and have been lucking out. This one had a great, small town feel with a cool vibe for the decor, including all sorts of things hanging from the ceiling. I went for my traditional large, half-sweet, iced oat milk latte with an add shot and loved it. They even added a little more syrup for me with zero hesitation. I get banned and told that I don't belong there and I'm immediately asked to leave by management. How am I even supposed to answer to that. This is not the way a coffee shop should treat people. Pass'in thru stopped for a big ass mocha. Asked for it iced, they brought it along with a peanut butter cookie I ordered. On .. the road again. The mix they used didn't dissolve so it was kinda like drinking sand. I tossed it. The cookie was about a two on a scale of one to ten. Tossed it too. Eight bucks for a throw away bad coffee drink and marginal cookie. I won't be going back. Any coffee seller that can manage to be worse than Starbucks is quite a feat. Great Americano (12 oz) served really hot, scrumptious baked pumpkin 'doughnut' (by their bakery) with lots of nutmeg and yotal bill only four bucks. Add friendly folks behind the counter, eclectic vibe, nice music (although John Mayer singing 'Your body is a wonderland' gave me pause about that donut) and a clean loo and this will be a fav stop on future trips through Ontario. My daughter and I stopped here while we were returning back home from a long drive. She is vegan and wanted some vegan options and I simply wanted some coffee :-) we also have small children with us but they were many options available for everyone! The staff was it stream Lee friendly and very helpful. The decor inside the shop is unique and inviting. It's a place where you can sit and chill with your java or whatever you may be enjoying. We very much enjoyed our visit here. Everything was very good and we left extremely satisfied! I would definitely come here very often if I lived close by. read more

Was on a road trip back home and saw on yelp that this spot had really good reviews compared to the other coffee shops nearby. Once you walk inside, everything is so vintage and aesthetically pleasing! I decided to get a "seasonal" green apple Italian soda and mmm pretty tasty! Pretty tart, but I like it :) I also got a cinnamon roll and omg it's pretty big and well worth the price! The bread is delicious but I wasn't a huge fan of the frosting on top. It has sort of a jelly-creme filling consistency and meh. Just not for me. read more

Love love love this coffee spot! They have a great lunch and snack menu and the staff is super friendly!

To be upfront- the coffees were way, way too sweet and got tossed unfortunately, as we didn't sip on them until they cooled down just a bit and we were already on the road. I think there was a confusion from the cashier to the barista about "add an extra shot of espresso" and "only a tiny dash of the maple spice syrup please"- I think they went heavy on the syrup and light on the espresso somehow. So, I can't actually speak to the quality/taste of the Americanos we ordered. That said, why did I still give them 4 stars? Well, benefit of the doubt on the drink order because the rest of the visit was great. The person running the cashier spot was super friendly, very knowledgeable, did a great job selling me on grabbing a pound of freshly roasted beans while we were there (which are great- we got the House blend) and maintained her calm admirably while dealing with a guest in front of me who was making life complicated. The cookie we got as a sweet treat was delicious (so says the wife- I'm not a sweets fan) and the inside decor was fun, eclectic and inviting. I could totally seeing hanging out and working there or sipping coffee with friends and chatting. Bathroom was clean and large and had all sorts of fun decorations (watch that sensor light though- it turns off pretty quickly!). Not sure if they normally don't put cream out, but I had asked for a little room and they put the coffee on the counter with a carton of half and half next to it and it appeared to be my only choice (although I didn't ask). Lids and sugars and such are on the far counter which also has a few coffee pots and little sample cups to taste their drip coffee as well as water. I wish we were a bit closer to make this a more regular spot, but we won't miss it when we are close by. read more

Ontario is home of a ton of weed shops and right on the Idaho border, so being in a rush probably isn't "high" priority. Just stopped for caffeine and WiFi while passing through... great service and suggestions from the young woman working at the register. She was really good at her job. While using WiFi to download audio files for the long road trip, I overheard the staff discussing regular customers with a professional and friendly tone. They really knew their customers and even who had earned a free drink. read more
