McDonald's! My favorite place for fast food. It's always the first thing that pops into my head, and it's mostly because of the French fries there. I think most people have experienced this establishment at least once, and I think almost every experience is similar. The thing about a chain restaurant like McDonald's is that their goal is to pump out food quickly (it's fast food for a reason), and when speed is such an important factor, quality of service leaves a lot to be desired. I've noticed, especially lately, that the people have lost a lot of the vibrance they used to have, which upsets me. Most of them don't smile, some won't even talk to you unless they must. But I'm also noticing fewer mistakes. I would be thrilled if they could somehow equal those two things out more. I understand how frazzling it can be, especially on a busy day. But if I smile at you, and you return that smile to me, it makes the day better for both parties. That being said, I love the food there, the greasy, fatty goodness that wreaks havoc on your body, but makes your soul happy. I don't care if it's bad for me, gimme that salt and processed patty fun. That might be an unpopular opinion, but I can't be the only one who feels that way. read more

Went here as a relief from my shitty experience at the new Starbucks next door. Yes, I actually came to Mickey D's to get another coffee after getting one from the Bucks. Yeah I know I fucked up, but I'm sure the whole town of Ontario is one big fuck up. I had to order each item three times. They did get the order right though, and the coffee did suck, but I preferred it over the dirty chai I had just received at starbucks. Thanks McDonald's for being the same consistent bullshit. We normally never eat at McDonald's but it was late at night and we had just checked into a hotel and decided to give it a try. When we pulled up to the drive-up we notice that they had a $10 deal of two cheeseburgers two fries and two 10 piece chicken nuggets. We decided to give that a try. We took it back to her hotel room and decided to dig in. The lobby was closed for maintenance - understandable. The cone system leading customers into the drive through lane was pretty inefficient and disorganized. We made two separate orders. When we got to the window and tried to use the app for discounts, the manager told us that we could only use the discounts for one order. I started to explain that we made two separate orders but honestly it wasn't worth the hassle so I just let it slide. She cashed us out for both orders after confirming both of them for us. Unfortunately, we paid for a double quarter pounder and they gave us a single. When she handed us the receipt it had melted ice cream on it. Benefit of the doubt - maybe they misheard our order. However, at other McDonald's locations I've been to, they've had no issue with the discounts on the app on separate orders. The food was normal McDonald's food - less one patty. Parting note - it may be wise to offer ketchup with fries, and put napkins in the to go bag. Other than all of those things, our order was filled quickly. To my disgust I watched a employee which happened to be a manager clean up garbage from the floor and touch a mop then start making my coffee without washing his hands. Since the other reviews were posted the store was torn down and a new one built, which opened this week. I'm not so sure that that the one from July is even for the same store, there are TWO in tis town and this location was razed just before summer and was being rebuilt...the other location is on the lot of the old West Park Plaza mall near the other end of town (I've lived here 35 years so I remember both being built). The drive-thru and access are still not very good and the company seems to be adopting this layout across it's new store and remodels. There are now two drive thru ordering points, three windows, two waiting spots and the drive thru line and entry lane to park are next to each other, meaning that the parking is not only rather tight but you have to look out for cars as you try to enter the store. The entrance was previously on the right side. A building was constructed between McDonalds and the Burger King on the other side of the lot with a Starbucks, phone store and something else and you could previously find overflow parking in that area. I don't even consider the location bike friendly and I don't drive. the person that took me there had at least been there the day before and was acquainted with the lot. The store was clean though and the staff were helpful (and of course all new hires). With the new store the old play area is gone. I did not locate the restrooms, I didn't know where they were. I didn't use the order kiosk, the cashier took my order and was most helpful and she also helped people with various tasks such as bringing sauces to tables. The store was very busy with a lot of customers, none of them seemed unhappy. All in all I liked the inside but found the outside a bit of a problem. On top of that when I got to the front door somebody was leaving and the door just opened without much restraint and bonked the siding...I would guarantee that the glass will be broken by accident soon and I reported this as soon as I got in. read more

This location is so unorganized it's crazy. They have a new employee working the front counter on a lunch rush, it took her 15 minutes to get our order. There goes 15 minutes of my lunch break. So then the manager comes over to help her with a extra mac sauce button and she can't find it. We then wait for our order and we ask it to go, they put it on a tray to stay and eat, I told the manager that handed me the tray.... It's to go, she says oh sorry. Get to car and start handing out food to people in my car and we are short a big mac meal and the fry's. So I go back in to get it and the manager so oh sorry I will make it. 10 minutes to get a big mac and fry's. So basically there goes my lunch break down the drain because they can't get there employees trained right. The new Mcdonalds is a joke. Starting with the layout. You have to go around the building twice for drive thru. And if planning to go inside during a drive thru rush? Forget it!! The drive thru line is blocking the parking lot!!! Very poor planning. Now lets move to service. I would say not great but not the worst. The food is horrible. I admit I've been here a couple of times, thought it would get better. But today was far worse. My hamburger was raw I was in a hurry so just threw it away and left. I would rather starve then ever go back. I have complained through there survey about my experiences, they did call me and offer to redo my meal. I appreciate that but after three visits all which have been bad it's obvious its easier to comp your meal then deal with the issue. A lot of people have same experience from here. It wasn't to bad before the new building went up. They only messed an order up every once in a while. Since the new store opened they have messed up almost every order I have placed. Today is the last time I go in to McDonalds. The person taking the order had to repeat it continually because they couldn't get it right and today I had a card for a free desert and when I made it up to the window all I was told it's not on the order so they couldn't get it.
