Last week I was suffering with horrible dental pain and wished I was back in Ohio to see Dr…read more Deister. I was referred to his practice by a work colleague who, like me, was plagued with dental problems. After a comprehensive exam I sadly needed a lot of work done. I had been in the Army for 7 years and I think they had a little too much fun experimenting in my mouth. Every single thing that the military had done needed re-done. Fillings were cracked, loose, and I had been given two root canals yet was not given crowns. It sucked. Dr. Deister, who also happens to be an Army veteran, came up with a treatment and more importantly a payment plan so I could get my teeth fixed. I am extremely satisfied with all the work he did to include saving 2 teeth that had broken to my jaw bone that another dentist told me was impossible. His staff was always happy and helpful including the office manager who handled my monthly payments. It is worth noting this is what I would call a "Christian practice". They don't preach or pray over you, but there is religious stuff lying around and I overheard several prayers being said with other patients. The building didn't burn down when I entered, and I was never made to feel uneasy because Jesus is not my homeboy but its something to be mindful of if you choose to come here. peace, love, and good booze ~ chase

Because of this, I'll keep this at 4 stars rather than 5, because it's tough to tell if they're the best when there is no comparison. Here's what I can tell you, the service from entering to exiting is great. The secretaries, hygienists, and Dr. Mazzola are all very nice and extremely knowledgeable of their trade. I'm fortunate to have never had any issues with my teeth except for one filling at a young age, however, I have heard Dr. Mazzola describe to other patients about procedures they will have done, and from what I've heard (wow, I think that is eaves dropping hardcore, sorry) his knowledge and understanding of all I've heard is phenomenal. Everything is explained in CLEAR terminology and the patients are informed of what will be done to the highest extent. I try to be empathetic and feel if I were in a position to have something done, he's the type of guy I'd like to handle it. If you attend this dentistry, make sure you make an appointment early. I try and determine when I'll be home from school and make an appointment around that time. This time home I had to cancel and the earliest appointment available for a routine cleaning was 2 months later. Thankfully, I was able to find someone that canceled. I don't see this as a negative. It means people are going to this dentist for a reason. I Recommend Dr. Mazzola and his team to the highest caliber!!!

I love this Place. Dr Head and Her assitant Mikah are two awesome people. Dr Head is a very gentle…read moreshe is very caring and listens to what your saying. Not only is she a great dentist she will go out of her way to work with your needs. I have had extensive work done. New top denture fits like a glove a extraction, new lower partial still have to wait a bit for that. Zoom whiting awesome and some cavities filled. Mikah always has a smile on her face when she works with you makes you feel very as ease She is super. The one thing that has kept me from giving this review a full 5 star is. You can tell this is corporate owned way over booked and the dentists just cant keep up with the corporate scheduling. You can imagine with all the work I have had done I have logged several hours there. I have seen these people work through lunches several times have seen all these same people work way past closing time, one time it was with me so its a known fact. I own a small business a piece of advise to the corporate big wigs its now always about the dollars your going to lose good dentists and workers and I have also seen customers walk out the door that you never got the chance to service because way over extending the staff and people waiting hour hourand half past appointment time. If you saw their prices online and booked an appointment, read this before you go. Do not be fooled…read moreby the $499 per arch basic denture pricing. Do not be fooled by the payment plans. If you think you can walk into this business and actually pay those advertised prices, they have already fooled you. This is a large, multi-million dollar corporation, and their business practices reflect that. I went in. I paid the $29 new patient promo fee. I made it explicitly clear that I wanted one thing: a top partial or a full top denture. That's it. No cleaning. No filling. No root canal. Nothing else. Just a top denture. They knew this. They agreed to it. So imagine my surprise when I was taken back to the office manager's desk to go over costs. That alone was a red flag. Have you ever bought a car? Do you remember being led back to the finance office while a salesperson sat across from you at a desk covered in paperwork? That is exactly what this felt like. For a denture. The woman across from me was pleasant enough. I'll give her that. I was genuinely impressed by her ability to keep a straight face when she told me, out loud, that I'd only owe $19,000. That is not a typo. Nineteen thousand dollars. For a $499 per arch denture. I audibly gasped. Then I calmly rolled my chair back, thanked her, and told her to have a nice day. She stopped me. "We could take something off here. This includes the root canal." What root canal? I never requested one. I never agreed to one. It was never discussed. She removed it. The new total: $13,000. I have the itemized printout and will show it to anyone who asks. So not only is $13,000 absurd, but they were apparently charging $6,000 for a root canal I didn't ask for, didn't need, and never consented to. It also listed 29 separate office visits. Twenty-nine. For a single top denture. I went through the itemized list line by line. I can say with confidence this is not a treatment plan tailored to me or my care. It reads like a template they run on everyone and hope no one questions. I'm questioning it. Ninety percent of what was on that list was never discussed with the dentist, never agreed to, and not applicable to my situation. And I was never given a choice of denture tier. They supposedly offer Basic, Classic, Standard, and Premium options. I wanted Basic. What appeared on my itemized list, without my knowledge or input, was Standard at $1,920. No one asked me. I was not in the room when that decision was apparently made. I will not be doing business with this company. If you choose to go, bring someone with you to the finance discussion. You will need to be assertive. This is a high-pressure sales environment operating behind the appearance of a dental office. And to Aspen Dental directly: do not respond to this with your copy-paste damage control comment. There is nothing to investigate and no customer service team to escalate this to. The only fix is changing your predatory corporate billing practices. That's it. That's the whole fix.
