The treatment was presented as urgent and necessary, and the experience felt rushed and high pressure rather than cautious or exploratory. Something didn't sit right, so I sought a second opinion. That second opinion completely contradicted what I was told by Aspen. I was informed I do NOT need three wisdom teeth extracted at all. The only issue identified was a minor filling on a single tooth. The difference is not minor, it's thousands of dollars, major surgery vs. a routine filling, and significant time off work that would have been completely unnecessary! It is extremely concerning to go in for a suspected chipped tooth and leave being told I need major oral surgery, only to find out later that none of it was actually needed. Further, I have only received a partial refund for the surgery I was required to pay for up front!! I strongly recommend anyone receiving a major treatment plan or ANY care by this business to get a second opinion before agreeing to anything or providing payment. It's a scam!!

Because of this, I'll keep this at 4 stars rather than 5, because it's tough to tell if they're the best when there is no comparison. Here's what I can tell you, the service from entering to exiting is great. The secretaries, hygienists, and Dr. Mazzola are all very nice and extremely knowledgeable of their trade. I'm fortunate to have never had any issues with my teeth except for one filling at a young age, however, I have heard Dr. Mazzola describe to other patients about procedures they will have done, and from what I've heard (wow, I think that is eaves dropping hardcore, sorry) his knowledge and understanding of all I've heard is phenomenal. Everything is explained in CLEAR terminology and the patients are informed of what will be done to the highest extent. I try to be empathetic and feel if I were in a position to have something done, he's the type of guy I'd like to handle it. If you attend this dentistry, make sure you make an appointment early. I try and determine when I'll be home from school and make an appointment around that time. This time home I had to cancel and the earliest appointment available for a routine cleaning was 2 months later. Thankfully, I was able to find someone that canceled. I don't see this as a negative.
