This is without question, the least productive and attentive Office that I've ever dealt with, regarding medical treatment, assistance and billing. No one ever answers the phone, billing changes constantly happen and they make you feel like you're nothing but someone checking out at a fast food chain. Saw Dr. Alice Wuu. She looked at a spot on my face and said it was an oil gland but wanted me to return to remove a spot on my shoulder. Returned one month later for that and told her the spot on my face was still hurting. She removed it and pathology determined it to be Squamous cell carcinoma... skin cancer. Had to have Mohs surgery. I requested to switch to Dr. Tho Quoc Nguyen (may be the owner of the practice). I explained why I switched and he said, "maybe it was too early to tell." It was only one month between Dr. Wuu telling me it was an oil gland to telling me it was Squamous cell cancer. But I stuck with Dr. Nguyen. Latest visit I asked Dr. Nguyen to look at a spot in the same area on my face and he said it was an oil gland (just like Dr. Wuu said about the other spot being an oil gland but was cancer). I asked him to remove it and told him and his nurse that I wanted anything removed from my body to be sent to pathology. They agreed. They removed the spot on my face and one on my leg. I then inquired about a cream (flourouracil) to remove precancerous cells. Dr. Nguyen said it would be a good idea. The only instructions from Dr. Nguyen were to apply it all over the face twice a day for one week. Nothing about not applying to eyelids or near mouth nor how to relieve the horrible discomfort. No instructions from the compounding pharmacy either. Received a call regarding my pathology results for the spot on the leg. I asked about the spot on my face. The nurse said they only had one biopsy and said "she didn't know what to tell me, should she ask the doctor?" Um, yes! That would be a novel idea! She put me on hold to talk to Dr. Nguyen and then told me Dr. Nguyen did not send the sample from my face to pathology. Dr Nguyen said the cream would take care of it. The cream is only for superficial precancerous cells. Doctors should send all biopsies to pathology and even MORE crucial to do that for someone with a history of skin cancer and when requested by the patient. I left a voicemail for the office manager to transfer my and my husband's records to a dermatologist in Bedford and she could call me if she wanted to know why. She never called. Dr. Nguyen never called. No one called to check on how I was doing with the cream. Office staff called to tell me I had to sign a release for my records. Of course, I did that. NOTE: my research on the internet found this..... "A doctor discarding a patient-requested biopsy without pathology review is highly concerning and potentially constitutes medical negligence. Medical standards typically require all tissue removed from the body to be examined by pathology unless a formal institutional exemption exists. Discarding a requested sample directly violates patient autonomy, safety protocols, and legal medical waste." read more

The staff was nice enough. I went in for an annual skin check up because I had not been in a couple of years. I was worried about a few spots. I was hoping maybe to get them checked and frozen if necessary and be done. The Dermatologist spent less than 10 minutes with me and I did not feel as if the exam was very thorough at all. I was simply given a prescription for some type of cream. It seemed very rushed, and since my insurance didn't cover the check up, it cost me $170 for the less than 10 minute visit. I think I will be looking for a new Dermatologist for next year's check up. read more

I've seen both Dr. Beaty and Dr. Wuu, and I can honestly say they've been nothing but efficient, knowledgeable, and truly attentive. After almost 10 years of being misdiagnosed elsewhere, they finally got to the root of what was going on and addressed my concerns quickly and thoroughly. Dr. Wuu, in particular, has amazing experience with melanated skin she addresses concerns thoughtfully and seems to have done extensive research with melanated patients. I honestly don't know where those negative reviews come from because my experience has been excellent. I left my appointment with Dr. Beaty feeling rushed and dismissed after spending less than five minutes with her. When a patient has genuine concerns and isn't a medical expert, it's important for a doctor to explain things clearly without sounding condescending -- unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here. It seemed like Dr. Beaty was more interested in her cosmetic practice than in addressing medical dermatology concerns. When I mentioned an issue on my back, the nurse didn't offer a gown, so I had to awkwardly lift my shirt in front of the doctor. Dr. Beaty appeared annoyed, quickly prescribed an over-the-counter medication, and left. My appointment felt transactional, not caring, and I questioned the value of the $100 fee. Doctors often warn against self-diagnosing with Google, but when you're met with someone this dismissive, it's hard not to feel like "Dr. Google" might actually be more helpful. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Farris for over 10 years. I've always had an issue with the habit of picking at acne, which caused my skin to become thick and dark. I went to Dr. Farris for treatment, and he used scissors to cut the area flat and then used an electric pen to burn the skin. After a couple of weeks, the skin on my face looked normal with no holes or scars. I was always very satisfied with the treatments I received from him. Recently, Dr. Farris moved to another office, and I didn't know. I thought he had retired. I called the office, and they told me that all dermatologists are at the same level and all are good. I mistakenly trusted this and let Dr. Tho Nguyen treat my face. I thought the procedure would be the same as what Dr. Farris did using scissors to cut the area flat. I even told Dr. Tho that Dr. Farris had done this before and left no scars, and my face looked smooth. Unfortunately, this was a disaster. Dr. Tho Nguyen only used the electric pen to remove the dark skin and did not use scissors to cut it flat. As a result, I now have five big scars on my face, which look like five large holes. This is devastating for me. I never had any issues with Dr. Farris. For anyone considering cosmetic treatments, do not go to Dr. Tho Nguyen. In my opinion, this doctor does not know what they are doing and should be a medical doctor, not a cosmetic dermatologist. I will never visit this place again, even though I had been going there for over 10 years. read more

INSURANCE SCAM!!! BEWARE - Dr Wuu told me that i would have to make two visits for my two procedures - for insurance purposes. I believed her at the time. A few days later I called my ins and they informed me that is not true. My ins company told me they would have covered both procedures under ONE visit. The doctor made me come in for two visits so they can bill the insurance company for two claims TO RECEIVE THEIR MAXIMUM PAYMENT from the ins company (100% on what they bill insurance). YOUR PROCEDURES CAN BE DONE WITH ONE VISIT - THEY WILL TELL YOU FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES YOU HAVE TO COME BACK - SCAM! YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY YOUR CO-PAY EACH VISIT! At my first visit, even though I had given them my insurance info, they said they were unable to verify it, and made me pay the full amount. At my second visit, the young lady who checked me in was rude. I mentioned that my insurance had changed since my previous visit and she just said, "of course it did". I visited Dr. Beaty for the first time at this office today. The waiting room is inviting and peaceful. This may not seem like a big deal, but it was to me: the gown that I put on smelled like fresh laundry. I knew that it was clean, and it didn't smell sterile. Also, unlike most dr offices, the soap was real, good-smelling soap, not the sterile gag-smelling stuff you normally get at these places. Dr. Nguyen has been my dermatologist for a little over 20 years now. He's outstanding and I've always be happy with the care he has provided me. He just recently removed a small melanoma from my upper arm. The minute he saw it, he knew it was "different". He got it biopsied and removed it. Thank God for the trained eyes of doctors. I've been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for 20 years. I first saw him for an irritation on Imy ear. My wife insisted that I inquire about a mole that I had on my back since youth. I was 48 at the time. The ear problem was some sort of wort. The mole he immediately recognized as melanoma. He did a biopsy and 7 hours later called me at home, at 9 p.m. to tell me I needed to be in the office at 8 a.m. for surgery. In the following 20 years he has removed 7 cancers, none melanoma, from my hands, neck and face. I owe my life to Dr. Nguyen and my wife. read more

I would never recommend Northeast Tarrant dermatology to anyone. The Esthetician Maryann was so unprofessional! My friend and I both purchased a laser treatment from her. Afterwards, she did not give us any instructions on how to take care of our skin. Should we stay out of the sun? Wear make-up the next day? Etc.? She rushed us in and rushed us out. We both spent $350 and it was a total waste of money because the results she promised for a skin did not happen. If anything my face looked worse afterwards. Biggest waste of money! read more

Went and spent 350 on skin pen by Mary the only cosmetic lady at this location. She first gave me a pamphlet and told me to go Google the procedure. I come in for procedure and was then given consent form . I was to spend 40 bucks on numbing cream that I had to apply on my face myself. After the procedure I broke out in cold sores. All Mary gave me was samples of sunscreen and that's it Had to get cold sore meds from another dermatologist office .I was never told cold sores was a side effect Not worth my 350. I went to skin M.d for my remainder of procedures to do.,they treated me so much better . read more

Dr. Beaty found a precancerous spot and referred me to a mohs Dr. which did a fantastic job removing it. Thirty stitches which healed in a month to where spot is not noticeable. Hight recommend Dr. Beauty if you need a great dermatologist. read more

Horrible. Dusty, dirty, doctor didn't wash hands! Used gloves but never washed his hands. A wall full of tchotchkes that had never been dusted! Caused two infections and then refused to clear the last one be up. Surgery is now required for the mess Nguyen made. If you value your life zRUN!. Do not bother going here unless you like being disappointed! My wife and I both like our Dr, but the office staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. Use to be a great place but it seen like 4-6 yrs ago something changed. The lobby area is now just a step above what you see as a free clinic on tv. There was or maybe still is a unplugged (broken) (I asked) portable soothing type water fountain that has been sitting in the front desk area forever. I would bet no Dr's walk thru this area or it would be changed. Billing is a nightmare, on more than one occasion have they over charged us after we told them that but refused to listen. Once it was on a cafeteria reimbursement after 3 months just sent a check in the amount we originally told them was wrong. No note no apology nothing! Any visit will turn into billing nightmare. The other day I called when leaving my driveway to schedule an appointment. It was about a 10 minute call so far set me up for a time and i said I would come in early. Them she told that she could not book my appointment without my insurance card in front of me even though nothing has changed. Not possible since it was in my wallet in my left hip pocket. I told her I would come in early so she could see it and she said would not work and to call back after being on the phone for 20 minutes just to schedule an appointment. Absolutely the worst office manager (KAICEE) to work at a medical office. Not competent to verify medical benefits and horrible phone manners. I know how to use Availity to verify medical benefits, perhaps you need re-training. Availity offers it, you should take advantage of the seminars. Then she had the nerve to call me and tell me that she tried to call my insurance carrier twice and sat on hold for 40 minutes and could not wait any longer. Sometimes our job requires a little more effort and time. If you cannot do your job effectively, maybe you should look for another job. I have the EOB regarding my husband's visit, you should have it as well and refund for overcharging my husband for his visit!!! read more

Look I've been going to Dr. Ferris for years love his service. Unfortunately I had seen one other member of this practice before and switched doctors which in my opinion was totally justified. So I called for a treatment with Dr. Ferris albeit last minute and was not surprised that he could not fit me he really is that good. However, other doctors were available but because I have already seen now two doctors (one of them one time) I have maxed their policy of only switching doctors one time. I would NEVER recommend this place. I saw Dr. Beaty a couple of weeks ago for some cycts on my head which she told me they were normal and I didn't need to worry about them or have them removed if I didn't want too. I told her one of them was leaking fluid and she told me that was normal too. Well now it is very infected and I called to get in for her to look at it but was told I couldn't because of my insurance might not pay for it - - I just could believe it I said look I have an infection on my head I need someone to look at it.
