We did carryout on a Saturday night and called our order in. The person on the phone was super professional and genuinely nice. Our food was ready quickly and pickup was smooth. They did get our order slightly wrong (just missing some baked potato toppings), but it wasn't a big deal. The baked potato itself was really good, and everything tasted fresh. I had a side salad and grilled chicken -- the salad was great, but the chicken was a little too peppery for my taste. We stepped inside to grab the food and it was packed for a Saturday, but the space is huge so it didn't feel overwhelming and they still had tables available. Overall, a really good experience. We went for lunch today and when we received the bill I noticed a "hospitality charge." I asked the server what this charge was and she told me it was to.mske sure everything is clean and fresh. I also saw that hey charged 10% sales tax when the sales tax in Hendersonville is 9.75% With the addition of the "hospitality charge" and the .25% sales tax, it added $2.00 to my bill. I love that so many items on the menu are homemade. I love that they are going seed oil free! What I do struggle with is the prices are so expensive and I guess that's far for the course for the quality but then they add a service fee on the bill, which is frustrating. Had dinner at Jonathan's grill this week and what a nice surprise. I had the Horseshoe Burger OMG open faced smothered in queso topped with fries. Our server did a nice job not over the top but didn't miss a beat either. Nice sports bar atmosphere clean and family friendly. read more

My husband and I went to eat at this location. The food was very good, but the service was very lacking. Our waitress started off doing a good job, but then it went downhill. We waited over 30 minutes for her to return to our table. We did not receive any refills on drinks, and it took a while for her to bring the check and pickup payment and return our debit card. read more

Visited last night with some friends and absolutely loved the place! They offer a great variety of food and drinks, from classic bar bites to full meals like bowls, pizzas, and plated dinners. Plus, they run awesome specials--last night, they had 2-for-1 draft beers, which was a great deal! I had the Salmon Bowl, and my husband went for the Smashed Burger--both were delicious! The full bar and beer selection make it a great spot to hang out, and with TVs all around, it's perfect for catching your favorite game. For those visiting with family, there's also a separate dining room where kids and teens are welcome anytime. The food was disappointing, everything tasted like it had been pulled from a freezer and tossed in an air fryer. The sirloin was passable at best, but the quality of beef does not match the price point at all. You can get better for less elsewhere. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive, got everything right and was pleasant to interact with. But every time the manager came out from the kitchen area, our server's entire demeanor changed. You could see the nervousness kick in immediately. The other servers standing at the computers looked visibly anxious too. That kind of environment is felt by your guests, and it was uncomfortable to witness. What was most unsettling was watching what appeared to be a supervisor repeatedly pulling aside one of the younger male staff members, who honestly could have been a minor, for private conversations. The physical proximity and touchy behavior from someone who appeared significantly older than him was genuinely off-putting and raised concerns. The atmosphere made it hard to enjoy the meal. Had dinner with my family at Johnathan's and it was delicious. The menu is large and varied and the service was quite good. We had everything from pretzel bites to chicken wings (not pictured) and salads as well. We had a toddler with us and they brought his food very quickly always a good thing!). Jonathan's does a great job with large groups. Even with guests coming and going, the staff was friendly and happy to adapt. The menu has a vast array of offerings from all influences. By far MY FAVORITE BAR!!!! I visit Jonathan's weekly at several different locations. I am NEVER disappointed. The food is always on point, beer is always cold and service is amazing. The ambiance is such that you can even take kids. It is a restaurant and has a great bar vibe for late night and weekends. Every server is always prompt and greeting. Bam Bam shrimp is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE dish. Was recently introduced to a new flat bread (can't remember the name) it it has chorizo, corn, tomatoes and avocado. Holy cow it's amazing!!!! Scenario: Late Tuesday night, Preds playoff game, I'm too lazy to cook. Where do you go in Hendersonville? A good option is Jonathan's Grille. Of course Sam's Sports Bar & Grill is an option too but I feel like Jonathan's has a better variety of foods. Plus they have a ton of TVs playing the game in the dining area (away from the bar). My waitress was nice and helpful. I was being wishy washy on the sauce for the wings so she brought me it 2 small ramekins of citrus lime sriracha and Jamaican jerk. Ends up I like the citrus lime sriracha better. It's not too sweet, yet has a good zingy tang to it with a subtle warmth that makes your tongue all cozy like you're next to a fireplace. The Jamaican jerk is like most jerk sauces (which I like)... A tropical flavor associated with jerk with a nice spicy kick. First came the lettuce wraps. I got several pieces of lettuce, which I appreciate. Nothing is worse than ordering lettuce wraps and you only get like what, 6 pieces of lettuce? C'mon man. Lettuce is like $1 a head. Give me at least a 3rd of it. Not at Jonathan's. Jonathan's is the first time I ordered lettuce wraps and ran out of filling BEFORE I ran out of lettuce. WUT? The only downside is that some pieces were tiny (I could put maybe a teaspoon of filling). Oh I guess 2 downsides. Some pieces were wilty. Ever buy lettuce only to forget you had it and the outside pieces look like they've been on the sun all day? But I never waste food, so I ate it anyway. The filling was great. The perfect temperature of warmth, not overly sweet and savory. Good-sized chunks of tender, juicy chicken breast. The cabbage in the filling was prominent and cooked to the right doneness. Crunchy but not like you're biting into a raw brussel sprouts. The wings were great as well with only 1 problem. It looked like the sauce was spooned on them. I'm the kind of guy that likes his wings tossed in copious amounts of sauce. Slathered so to speak. Thanks to the ramekin of sauce I got earlier, I was able to dip them in the sauce. But just keep that in mind when you get wings and tell the waiter/waitress if you like your wings the same. Now for the good part. I've had wings many times and the majority of those times, they are overcooked. Wings that are like eating chicharrons where the skin is too thick is no bueno. It's like eating Cap'n Crunch before the cereal gets time to soak up the milk. It will cut up the roof of your mouth. Not these wings. Perfectly crispy with a satisfying crunch, with an actual juicy and hot inside. I don't know who the cook was this time, but I hope I get him next time. Overall Jonathan's Grille is a good place to eat. I've been a frequent diner all over their different locations in Middle TN. It's a great place with good variety. If you like sports, it's a no brainer. If you don't, at least you'll leave with your belly full. read more

This was Mother's Day in this review. The staff is always friendly, polite and helpful. On Mother's Day it was busy, our food was cold, my pizza was cold, old and stale. I had to send it back, the waitresses comment was " I'll get you a freshly made one this time." Did I get a left over from last night? She brought me a new pizza, where the cheese actually stretched, it was better. The bathrooms were filthy and the hallway to the bathrooms was worse. I know it's 2024, hard to find good, loyal caring hard workers, but management needs to be better prepared for a busy day, a holiday. We have been here many times in the past, no complaints until Mother's Day, FRESH, HOT food is very important. We probably will try it again, on a non crowded day. read more
