My wife made reservations for Resurrection Sunday for us at Chop House. Walking in, I was immediately attracted by the butcher case display of the various cuts of meat and seafood served. Once I stopped drooling, our hostess guided us to our table. I'm a big guy and the booth table was a tight fit for me, however there were no open tables with chairs. We decided to not let tat ruin our experience. My wife ordered the 8 oz. prime rib, I ordered the rib eye and our friend ordered the 8oz. filet. None of us had ANY complaints about the quality nor quantity of our meals. As a matter of fact, I will say that this is the BEST rib eye I can recall having eaten. Our server, Abbey, was right on top of our needs before we knew we needed her. The restaurant was clean and inviting and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Kudos Chop House, we will be back! read more

I went here yesterday and the service was excellent! Our server constantly checked on our table to make sure we had drinks and anything else we needed. And the food was so good! I tried the mozzarella sticks, and they were amazing! literally the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. I personally didn't love the rice that came with my teriyaki chicken, but they were so nice about switching it out for a different side. I ended up getting the mac & cheese, and it was so good. I was in town for a few days working in the Crowder tour and had a taste for a good steak! So I did what I always do when I'm in a new town looking for good food! I hopped on Yelp and it led me to the chop house. The place has a low lit, slightly romantic ambiance, but the place is very busy! I ordered a French 75 crispy shrimp a calamari appetizer which was delicious! I also ordered these amazing candied bacon deviled eggs! For my entree I ended up getting the Boston baked fish because the steak I wanted was 14oz and to be honest that's way too much for little ol me. The fish was amazing and so was the Mac n cheese and broccoli. I will definitely revisit next time I'm in Tennessee. Oh and I ordered the strawberry gooey cake to go and it was the most rich, moist, buttery and gooey delicious strawberry cake I've ever had! Defintely recommended! read more

We made a reservation and our table was ready at that time. The place was hopping with many large groups. The fireplaces were on and it felt cozy. Our waiter was attentive and grabbed our drink order and waiting for our sixth before giving us the specials which he rattled off with ease and answered our questions. Food was yummy and perfectly spaced between appetizer, salads, and entrees. I got the horseradish-crusted filet. Yum. I don't eat meat a lot but I was eager for yummy filet and this did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked to medium. 5 Stars! Excellent food, service, ambiance, it's clean and they take reservations.... just a fantastic experience all around. I'd highly recommend Chop House for a meal by yourself, a date, casual family dining or even special events, it's a versatile restaurant. We made reservations and they seated us immediately when we arrived. Parking can be tricky at peak times FYI. Our server Johnathan H truly made our evening special. He checked on us frequently, gave suggestions and was an absolute gem. I'm not sure how in depth I need to break down the food because it was all delicious. A standout item is the calamari- it was absolutely tender and the house made cocktail sauce was the best I've ever tasted. My Prime Kansas City Strip was perfectly cooked to medium-rare and delicious. If you like well-aged steaks, this is the place. My only regret is that I should've looked closely at the cocktail menu and saw they muddle the luxardo for the Chop House Old Fashioned. That's on me and my preference, so I'll ask for a non-muddled version next time... and there will definitely be a next time! read more

I hate to give this review because in previous years the service and food was excellent and was formerly one of my favorite places in Hendersonville however I must be honest ...perhaps it is under new ownership/management now or what not ... but it was an extremely disappointing and almost embarrassing experience this evening to the point where I didn't even feel I was in a steakhouse on par with say Texas Roadhouse. Ceasar salad was brought out completely unmixed unprepared just a bowl of bland lettuce overflowing the bowl with the cheese, dressing, and the croutons separate in 3 plastic containers on the side . At Wendy's ? Sure! An expensive steakhouse? Totally Unacceptable . Aside from that the bartender who served as the waitress in the bar area with the booths could not even be bothered to take my order when I was ready to order as she was busy flirting with what sounded to be her regulars... she sent a random colleague over instead... fabulous. When my salad came out the staff (bus boy?) did not wait for me to finish after bringing out the steak... just plopped it on the table next to my salad. The boy who brought my steak to the table also didn't wait for me to cut into it to make sure it was prepared properly nor did the waitress/bartender ask or check until 15 min later she finally swung around in which time a) the steak was cold b) no time to rectify if but again she was busy yakking it up with her regular tables (the bar had one group and two other individuals this evening.:: i e not busy whatsoever ) when I asked for a box and the bill she began boxing my food aggressively with an attitude and sloppily as well as scowling at me. I could do nothing other than observe with disgust honestly . I will say the food is still decent although it has gone down in quality as well vastly the past two years but the service is so atrocious that I would not bring colleagues back here even if the food was on par to the standard proior . First visit ever to a Chop House. Make a reservation. We went on a Monday, and they were slammed. We were seated immediately upon arriving at our time slot. By the time we left, there was an hour wait. Menu is quite extensive and I decided on a filet. I'm generally a rib eye guy but the filet was a nice change from the norm for me. I did the horseradish crust 9 oz, add burgundy mushrooms. My two included sides were the creamed corn brûlée and Parmesan Spinach. My wife had the 6 oz filet and a salad as well as the corn. Steak was cooked a precise Medium Rare and was a good cut. I had an old fashioned and would give that a 3 out of 5. Reason I knock the drink was the cherry was a mashed up mess, ice used was standard vending machine ice, and mix tasted like a stirrings bottle pre-mix. Nothing special or on the same level as their meal. My wife had a vodka based drink that I did not try. It's never a good sign when the best thing you at at a steakhouse was the bread and butter prior to the meal, but here we are. While my associate ate a steak (that looked like a pretty unimpressive cut of meat for a ribeye), I opted for the Chilean sea bass. You can tell from the pic how overcooked the sea bass was as well as how undercooked the head of broccoli was. We celebrated our 45th anniversary here. Cat was a very professional and competent server. She anticipated it met all our needs. I gave four of five stars because the $48 ribeye we ordered was overdone, having been cooked medium rather than medium rare. While not generally a big deal, at that price we wanted it cooked appropriately. To his credit, Cooper, the manager on duty, saw to it that we promptly received a properly cooked steak. The gumbo I had before dinner was delicious, although it could have been a little hotter temperature-wise; nevertheless, I didn't return it.
