After a busy morning of shopping my friend and I needed some lunch and we happened upon Kat's. We seated ourselves and placed our order fairly quickly. My BLT burger was huge and served with plenty of fries. The burger had bacon and fried green tomatoes and it was delicious. My friend enjoyed her chicken wrap, too. Service was friendly and the food really hit the spot. This was a good spot for a quick Saturday lunch and I would recommend it to others. read more

We went to Kat's Bar and Grill after a long day of traveling and house hunting. Definitely more bar than grill, we should have gone elsewhere. We walked into country music blaring (yeah, I know we were in Tennessee), which I could have lived with but it was karaoke night and there was an inebriated woman monopolizing the karaoke and she was horrible! On top of it, service was slow, food was just average and the drink was overpriced and weak. There weren't a whole lot of people so that should have been the tip off. Never again! read more

Another great find. In Mt. Juliet on behalf of one of our dogs, we wanted to stop and grab a bite somewhere. Found Kat's, completely empty when we walked in. Christina was our waitress, warm, friendly and just fun. The spinach artichoke dip is accompanied but what seem to be homemade pita fresh out of the oven - llight and airy, so good. The black and blue steak salad was wonderful - plenty of bleu cheese, which is key for me. My wife thought the Ruben a little light on corned beef but tasted good. The fries are perfect, crispy outside and soft inside. Will definitely seek it out the next time we need to be in MJ! read more

We had a little get together at Kat's last Saturday night and it was a blast. We went in at about 5:30 and were greeted by a young lady that was very pleasant. We ordered a few cocktails and appetizers, and they were all brought very promptly. I went over and introduced myself to Sally that was the KJ of the evening. Everything was going very well and then karaoke began, and it became even better. Sally was a very good KJ host and food. Cocktails were on the light side if you know what I mean but they were good. Beer was the better option for me. There was a birthday party going on at the table just in front of us and it just seemed like everyone was involved with this party atmosphere. As the night went on, Kat came over to us and asked us if we were having a good time and if everything was going well. I told her that we were having a great time, and we definitely were!! The wife and I have found our new favorite watering hole in Mt Juliet. It is busy every time we stop in, and after having visited half-a-dozen times now, we can see why! They have one of the best happy hours of any establishment in Middle Tennessee, and it is seriously why we frequent as much as we do. Not only that, but them boys in the back making the food SERIOUSLY know what they're doing. Every single item we've seen move out the pass-through looks mouthwatering. We've sampled quite a few things ourselves and have YET to be disappointed in a single bite. The fried pickles are stars (especially with the jalapeno ranch), as are the "Real Fries" and Katfish Nuggets. The Quesadilla's are exceptional, and while we haven't gotten any (and I stress YET), their wings look drool-inducing every time I see someone order them. There are so many things we want to try and will get around to them all sooner or later. I just hope they keep doing what they're doing, because it's awesome and we enjoy ourselves every time. Even when they do their karaoke events, it's a bit of fun to sit back and watch folks of all ages, races, and colors grab the mic and croon their favorite tunes. Seriously, great job Kat's. We joined friends for karaoke night. What a fun crowd! Eclectic group of people for eclectic music. We both ordered catfish dinners. Nice size portion of catfish and loads of fries. Good flavor. The coleslaw wasn't very good but that's ok. The service staff was friendly and overworked. She worked her tail off while maintaining a great attitude. The usual dj wasn't there from what I gathered. He did ok. The people were all having a great time. It was a bit too load for me but that's a personal preference. Lots of dancing. It was impressive that the pool table was busy the entire evening. For about 8 weeks, me and some friends were at Kat's every week. We loved their trivia night on Thursdays. Caid Smith runs it for Nerdy Talk Trivia, and he is awesome. We had so much fun. Also, every Friday, my husband and 4-5 of his friends would have lunch there after working out. My mom has also spent time with friends at Kat's consistently. So, it's safe to say, we were definitely patrons of this bar. We quit going after Kat and her daughter both showed a side of themselves that made it very clear they didn't care for black people being in their bar. After these instances, we found out about other things that had happened with friends of ours. Turns out, lots of people already knew there were racist vibes. We won't be back until something drastically changes and these issues are addressed. read more

Today was my first trip here since it changed from the Eagles Nest Tavern. I really enjoyed it. I love all of the decor. They have a pool table, dart boards, a couple of video games and a small stage for bands. Their prices for happy hour are very good and they are cheap enough as it is! 4-7 pm everyday. Service was fast and friendly. Granted, we were the only ones there. The owner was there. She came out and said hello and gave our little man some candy. Sweet lady. The basic BLT was generous and on Texas toast. My hubs and son ordered wings. None of us had complaints and ate every bit of it. We will be back to experience dinner one night soon! read more

This is a new bar in the Mt. Juliet area and I wanted to get out for a quick meal so, I thought I would try Kat's. I have lemon pepper wings and catfish nuggets. The catfish is real catfish not the imported crap! The lemon pepper wings were good and the wings did not have too much lemon pepper seasoning on them. In fact the food was so, good I forgot to take a picture! Lol! Also, they have poker on Monday's and Karaoke on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Oh, I saw a lot of people eating the stuff baked potato and it looked very GOOD! I will have to try this on my next visit. I didn't give them a 4 star because they have only been open a few weeks but, I will be back! read more

I just moved here and try and shop local as much as I can. Was going to go to Buffalo Wild Wings but again wanted to shop local. Saw them open driving by pulled in at 9:35 and sat in my car to check the hours to make sure I was not going to be that guy walking in just before closing. There hours say open till 11pm. I Walk in and sit down ask for a menu they say just have fryers going. There is literally a cook just sitting in the window of the kitchen looking out. We have supported all the business that has been in this location, but I have to say that Kat's REALLY takes the cake. Our first visit, I saw the menu and wasn't thoroughly impressed, it just looked like bar food. Once we ordered, though, I was hooked. The food may look mundane on the menu, but every single thing I have had has been absolutely fantastic. The staff have been the friendliest and most genuine people I've met in a restaurant and bar, and the owner Kat is the sweetest woman I think I've ever met. From the information that the restaurant put on Yelp I expected great beer options which is not the case. Our first visit to this new bar, and we were pleasantly surprised. It was karaoke night, not my favorite thing. The bar was noisy and there were several groups there having fun. It needed a drink or two to catch up with the crowd, once we had taken the edge off things were great. Service was good all through the evening, drinks were never left to run dry and our server was efficient as well as making us feel welcome. We met the owner, although briefly, she made us feel at home. The food was tasty, presented nicely and reasonably portioned. The kitchen needs some work on their timing, but no major issues. There weren't any problems with what we ordered, however I doubt it will be winning any awards either. If you're looking for some good bar food, then this could be a good option. Now to the beer, there isn't a menu, except a few options in a chalk board, partially hidden on karaoke night. This does need some work, it is a bar after all. We have bars that have numorous different brews, do we need another? May I suggest getting a couple of beers from the local Nashville breweries then having an additional guest beer or two, with the domestic regulars as well. Most importantly, we are looking forward to, and will be going back here. read more

Well we sat there for about 10 minutes and the blonde behind the bar didn't even look up and notice us. She was too busy with her head in her phone. I don't know who owns this or if they will even care but I won't be trying them again. You have to have good customer service for me to go eat somewhere. My fiancé and I went to see the Titans game. This is the first yelp review I have ever done that was not complimentary. Between the two of us we have over 40 years restaurant experience. When we got there, we were 2 of about 10 people in the entire place. We asked about drink specials during the game (pretty common in a sports bar) she said Long Island ice teas margaritas and blue Hawaiians were 2 for 1. So no beer specials? "I have buckets." Got wings... came out after 20 minutes cold. No big deal. Finished the wings and ordered catfish nuggets. After 40 minutes never got them. Asked for the check and we were charged for them. We told her we never got them. She said "well". Not , do you still want them? I'm so sorry. Then she says " come back and see me." No thanks! read more

Not just the staff but the customers as well begin conversations with strangers and you would think they knew each other before coming there but not so. Good service. Great food. Lots of drink and food options. We were lucky enough to take advantage of happy hour. Competes in the area with Jonathan's and the Goat but with better service and prices and a smaller locale. We had the wings in hot and sweet and spicy both were delicious. I highly recommend the steak and chicken stir fry. Kind of a weird spot for stir fry but dang it was good. The katfish nuggets never stood a chance with my husband. Worth a shot everyone!
