The home we were buying was relatively new and I wasn't really expecting much, but he found many things that needs my attention not just now, but down the road (like furnace is working but it is approaching the end of its life expectancy.) I've had no problems with my home since I purchased it, so I guess that's a good thing. The reason they get a low score is because of the things we caught that he was wrong about. He said there were no vents on the 2nd floor for heating and cooling. He also said there were no handrails on either set of stairways. After he left my realtor and I walked through and there are vents in every room on the 2nd floor and hand rails on the stairways. If that's the worst he missed, I'm thankful. So far, my house hasn't burned down or flooded, so I feel lucky.
