Great international grocery located in Schaumburg with most things from Europe. It has a pretty good selection to choose from. KD Market seems to be Polish. Makes sense because there's a large population around here. There's of course the paczki and other sweets. A way to save some money when eating out. It's good to go to a store. There's a large amount of produce and whatever. Prices are pretty good for the most part. The groceries in the coolers usually aren't as cheap though. Anyway, there's still plenty you can get. There's also Asian such as sushi and rolls. Could visit this more often if it was closer. It has lots of good finds. The prices aren't bad on lots of things.

Good market for produce, pastries, beverages and more! Clean environment all around. Helpful ladies behind the counters as well as through the aisles. Everything is very well organized. I had stopped a little before closing so I was expecting not much things left but it was the opposite, more was being stocked for the next day. Got a ton of fresh fresh produce!

The hot Polish Plate is delicious and packed full of my favorites. It's a quick grab and go.

FANTASTIC POLISH FOOD I wish this store was closer to downtown Chicago. They have some fantastic polish food options to go. You can get them prepackaged both hot and cold. There's also a hot bar where you can build your own pre-made food package. Our favorite to go package was the polish platter which featured smoked sausage, pierogis, potato pancakes, a stuffed cabbage roll, mashed potatoes and baked sauerkraut. Everything tasted amazing and it was so fresh. The meal was a deal too. This giant platter of food was only $9.52. (Prices are subject to change thanks to inflation) It was a ton of food. My family keeps asking me when I'm driving back out to Schaumburg to pick up more food from here again. Honestly it's worth the drive. That's a deal I can't pass up! The store has everything you could want. I love all of the Eastern European dishes that are available. I could eat here all day long. The hot chicken soup looks amazing too. They sell the soup in quart sized dishes that are ready to go! I wish I would have grabbed one. I might have just eaten the whole container it in my car. It's the perfect place to taste Polish Traditions. Not only can you find authentic European ingredients, fresh produce & meats but you can also get authentic Polish specialties, which are all made from scratch. They have a lot of unique products imported from Europe. I love that many of these products do not contain high fructose corn syrup. That is a bonus over American made packaged foods. They also have a nice selection of polish pastries and desserts. Yeah this place rocks and it's worth the drive. The parking lot is huge and they are ready to serve you some great food. Load up the cart with all of the unique treats. Here's some additional fun facts & a pro tip! Pro Tip: Pick up some Pączki. These fried donuts are filled with fun flavors. You can order these year round at KD Market and not just on Fat Tuesday in Chicago. It's a celebration here every day. Fun Facts: Did you know that KD Market has been voted the "Best Polish Food" two years in a row now! Congrats! After one bite, you'll see why people love them. What does the KD stand for? Krystyna's Deli! You're now set for trivia night, if those questions ever come up! It's called trivia for a reason!

Polish Supermarket. Paczki Day is a big deal in Chicagoland. This place bakes enough paczkis to feed all of Chicagoland! They are baked fresh daily and come in a variety of flavors. Enter the main doors and walk straight back to the Bakery. This is where the paczki and all the other bakes goods are found. Serve yourself from the many shelves stocked full of paczki: Nutella, custard, Rose hip, raspberry, currant. Easy to find parking in the large parking lot out front. Well labeled departments inside. Although, I've only been to their bakery.

    Poppy Seed Cake

I purchased a poppy seed cake at this store 11/23/23 and according to its label it was good until 11/24/23. Sadly when trying to serve it the same day I noticed large amount of mold at the bottom of the cake. Needless to say, I took it back to the store the following day and was informed that I cannot get a refund because I did not have a receipt. Apparently, having item marked clearly with KD market label is not enough of a proof. I was offered a replacement cake to which I declined as my trust in the quality of food sold there has been shaken. I spoke with two employees and it seems that neither was bothered by the fact that food had mold on it but were rather focused on the refund, for which I never asked to begin with. I tried to make it clear to both that it is not about 7$ the cake costs but rather a concern for the quality of food being sold to customers.

What I bought is expired wtf .

What I bought is expired nice , if I have to choose this store, I prefer not to eat ...

I would avoid this establishment…read more I called on 1/27 at 12:40 PM to order vegan cupcakes for my son's birthday. The employee, Tim, told me they had 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate vegan cupcakes available. I requested 4 chocolate cupcakes, and he said I would need to prepay and that they would be ready in 15 minutes. I was surprised they could be prepared that quickly, but went along with it. We picked them up about 30 minutes later and brought them home. That evening, my son tried one and it was extremely hard, with grainy frosting. Overall, the cupcake tasted terrible. We didn't eat the remaining three and left them in the box. The next day, I returned to the shop to share my concerns and was told Tim would call me back. He did call and said they had tried a cupcake and felt it tasted fine. He also told me that I may not know what vegan cupcakes taste like. I didn't argue, but I've had plenty of vegan desserts before, and they've never been this inedible. He then explained that the batter used was leftover from a cake made a week earlier and that it's common practice for them to freeze batter and make cupcakes later. I was surprised to hear this. More disappointing was that there was no attempt to make things right or offer any solution--only to explain why they wouldn't provide a refund. I told him that was fine, but that I wouldn't be returning or recommending their shop and would be sharing my experience. If you're looking for vegan options or any dessert options and decent customer service, there are plenty of other places in the area. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

That said, with things going on in my life, I don't always have the time to bake like I want to. When I need something and I don't have the time to do it, then I usually go to a brick and mortar bakery. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a mutual Facebook friend running a baking business out of her home (https://www.facebook.com/MissKittysTreats). For most of you that have read my reviews, you know I am a big supporter of local businesses. Back in February I discovered that Miss Kitty was doing cakes, so I ordered one from her for Valentine's Day, a lovely chocolate mocha coconut cake with ganache and espresso. Well that did not go so well. The cake arrived as planned and looked beautiful, but The Doctor was admitted into the hospital for a triple bypass. We eventually got home to try the cake about two weeks later, and it was very good. But as a baker, I knew that cake would have been a whole lot tastier if we had it on VD. Fast forward to our anniversary and we got the same cake to have at home as dessert with The Queen. OMG! The flavors were so amazing and the cake was so moist. For you folks that like a lot of frosting, you get it here. I myself don't do a lot of frosting, but I know most people do like it. I am that person who scraps off frosting from cupcakes and Cake, but Miss Kitty's frosting combined with the cake was sublime. Ain't gonna lie, I did take come off :-) Still delicious AF. This weekend Miss Kitty made donuts: Cinnamon sugar apple cider, Carmel apple cider, Strawberry Dreams, Pumpkin Spice, "Fun size " candy bars: coconut chocolate almond (With nuts or without ) and snickers not snickers, Classic vanilla/chocolate Halloween theme I am not a pumpkin girl, so Miss Kitty was nice enough to swap them out for the coconut chocolate almond donuts. I am a sucker for chocolate and coconut and the thought of eating an Almond Joy cake donut was too much for me. These are supposed to be for a birthday celebration tonight, but I had to try the coconut chocolate almond one. Yeah that was so good, so so good. I am trying not to eat another one...good luck with that. Miss Kitty is operating out of her home, but takes orders and delivers to your home. Check out her Facebook page to see what tasty treats she is offering and place an order today. It has that traditional neighborhood bakery feel with display cases full of cookies, donuts, pastries, breads, and cakes. The bakery has been around since 1959 and is known for making many of its items from scratch, which really shows in the quality. Jarosch Bakery +1 The selection is impressive. Their butter cookies, coffee cakes, sweet rolls, and donuts are standouts, and everything looks fresh and carefully made. If you're picking up dessert for a gathering or ordering a custom cake for a celebration, this is the kind of bakery that has built a reputation for doing those things really well. The place can get busy, especially around holidays, but that's usually a good sign that people keep coming back. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to grocery store bakeries, but the quality and traditional baking make it worth it. Overall, Jarosch Bakery is a great spot if you appreciate classic bakeries that focus on fresh, scratch-made pastries and desserts. It's the kind of place that feels like a local tradition.

I went in early this morning, before 7am, to pick up some paczkis, their awesome cinnamon raisin bread and my dad's favorite, the Swedish Flat. And we weren't disappointed. So the front counter space is big. Their inside space to wait is, I believe, a little bit bigger compared to their old location. They still have their shelving in there with kolaczkis, assorted breads and pre-boxed paczkis. They are still getting everything together from their move and they didn't have a lot of pazckis available, which is ok because we aren't at Fat Tuesday yet amd last year you could place an order for them online. But their customer service is great as usual, and customers leave with smiles on their faces. I asked one of the employees there how have the longtime customers taken to the new building and she said so far it's been a mix. I love the new place and can't wait to see how they perform when they are all don't acclimating to their new home. Also, they have a awesome looking espresso machine but it isn't up and running when I was there. Thanks for being able to replace my hole in my heart when our local bakery closed a ling time ago.
