I had several experiences in other venues where this is not always the case. Staff at Pinehaven was very attentive to not just the bride and groom but all our guest. Complements all around from all our guests were positive, which I must add we can be a picky bunch so as you can imagine we were delighted to know everyone was happy. Elevators and stairs are available to access the 3 levels: Orchestra floor level, Mezzanine level, and Balcony level. The stadium style seating is quite steep and can be vertigo-inducing for some people. Restroom facilities were clean and plentiful enough to accommodate the crowd. Concessions were also available. A bit of patience is required to exit the venue post-show due to bottlenecks within the stairwells and landings at each level. A few of us voiced anxiety if there were ever a need to vacate the property quickly. P.S. Just a side note that, once again, our experience was slightly marred by a few patrons seated around us and the wish that venues had ushers who are trained to intervene. The couple arriving 20 minutes late sloshing their drinks as they access seats in the middle of the row, others taking flash photography photos during the performance, playing solitaire in bright mode on their phone, and those scrolling text messages and photos with phones held up at eye level without using dim mode. Why do you even attend live events?

I will admit that I was skeptical, since I am a hardcore traditionalist when it comes to weddings, meaning, they're to be conducted in a church synagogue, or temple. Even though I was hesitant at first; what can I say the venue itself; it is sensational, perfect with the backdrop of the rolling hills of Kentucky. As for our son and daughter-in-law, they fell in love with it the first time they saw it. There is no need for additional décor as Moonlight Fields has it all covered with the grounds that are pristine and the fitting decorated (Man Cave), adding anything else to it would have taken away from what is already a perfect setting. The owners and staff are so accommodating and cannot do enough for you. They are proactive; you are treated like family from the time you arrive on the big day, to the time you leave. I cannot recommend the staff & venue highly enough; I don't think we would have had such a fantastic day if it wasn't for them. Our guests were blown away by the venue, the setting, the food (our son & daughter-in-law chose City Barbecue), the staff, the service; seriously, people are still raving about it. Everybody were made to feel so welcomed to the wedding. So, if you're thinking of booking Moonlight Fields for your wedding, do it, you will have absolutely no regrets, it is a dream venue.

I actually don't even ever take advantage of the breakfast, because I usually have a spot picked out ahead of time on Yelp. I appreciated the owner of Swann's Nest because he waited up for me, through my flight delay, and impromptu dinner in Cincinnati. Then, he put up with an idiot from the south who has absolutely no idea how to drive in the snow. I ended up driving into the garden because it all just looked like a pile of white to me. My room was very nice, and the heater in the bathroom was incredibly clutch. I think I would have been happy just sitting in the hot shower for two days with how disgusting it was outside. I was the only person staying here, and the first since some pipes had burst in the basement. I really enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend it... especially for people coming into town for Keeneland.

We had just started the bourbon tour and were amazed at how few quality places there are to select from in Lexington. We think it would be easier to find a choice of horse lodging than people! We wanted to be in a quiet location and this place scored 10/10. Our king bed was comfortable and the suggestion of dinner places were spot on. Midway is a wonderful small village where the railroad goes right down the middle of the street! The B & B has relaxed feel to it and many extras are included in the price with a self service style that doesn't involve formality. Breakfast is a simple affair, and so much better than the overdose of sugar enthused french toast that some places call breakfast. My only suggestion might be that the bread and English muffin selection whilst large has few non mass market choices. I would hope there are some good local bakers in Lexington? Jason an implant and horse lover from the frozen north of the US, was a delight to chat with, as he had opinions and was happy to express them, which we found very refreshing. We also agreed with his observations and thus a meeting of minds was accomplished. Go visit and listen to their advice, and don't taste too much bourbon and drive!

If you want to go to Lowe's, this is literally next door to it. I think my biggest and only complaint of the place was the noise. It can get a bit noisy due to paper-thin windows. I think some people would complain that this place is dated, but I do not mind dated hotels. I think it adds character and when I say dated - it is 1980s-ish. Customer service was solid. He was super nice and really accommodating to my needs - what needs I had - which weren't many. I am pretty easygoing to with 1 night states at places I book last minute such as this.

We had three families staying at the same time and there at least two beds to spare in every room. Not to mention the three couches down stairs. The place had some of its own board games so the kids got to learn a few new games like pool, mancula, and apples to apples. There was a fire pit,hot tub, and a pretty nice grill out side. The whole place was built on a ledge that overlooked the tree filled hills of the red river gorge region . There was also a huge wrap around porch. It was cool but be careful leaning on the edge there might be a few places it's weak. Draw backs... there really weren't many. The first draw back was the place is set up a long steep stairway. It looks small until you are trying to bring your groceries and suit cases up it. Still it's not a big deal if you aren't elderly. The other draw back was the shower, it had a little mold in the corners but over all it was a spacious bathroom with towels and working facilities. We have decided we will be returning to this place and we hope it will be as great as this weekend!

While staying at Quiet Waters for an interview with Jonathan Hicks. I was asked to assist with…read morelaundry. I ended up picking up BED BUGS from either the laundry rooms or the cabin. I noticed they use a tennis ball with Lavender Oil for fabric softener. Lavender Oil is used to keep bed bugs away! I also noticed mattress covers wrapped in plastic. This was a red flag and unfortunately I ignored being so excited to have this opportunity. I still accepted the position not knowing how bad the bed bugs were! I moved there in August 2020 where I AGAIN picked up bed bugs. They were even in my car and the rental trailer I leased. I purchased pesticide and worked very hard to get rid of the bed bugs. I am highly sensitive and allergic to bed bugs. I was bitten inside the cabins when cleaning. I tried to come to some kind of agreement for preventative measures with Johnathon Hicks. He had my internet connection turned off then pretended he didn't. Even telling me to unplug and reboot KNOWING it was disconnected. I was 16 miles off the grind all alone with no connection. I had to drive in town to make a call to him. He told me to call their advocate Sharon Keefe to talk the issue over regarding the bed bugs. He told me to call her that day bc she was leaving for vacation the next day. He told me to go back home and unplug to see if I would have a connection. Again, while he ALREADY knew he had it turned off. So I went back to town to call Sharon when he sent a text saying he knew Sharon already left for vacation and they hired someone else! I have NEVER known any employer who would be this cunning and DECEITFUL. Why not just tell me instead of lying and having me run around. He did it on purpose! What immaturity! I was devastated! I had to move again after uprooting my life for this job! I moved back and ever since been fighting bed bugs since August 2020! I have now lost 3 beds and couches and so much more. Jonathon Hicks has denied any issues with bed bugs and completely ignores me. I now have a visible manifestation of the bed bugs. They have spread from the basement (where my br is) to the upstairs. BEWARE of bed bugs and take preventative measures. They do not effect everyone the same. But with people like me who are very allergic are tormented by bites.
